An intern captured this photo of a family of American Black ducks coming up to her canoe. As soon as their down feathers dry, newly hatched ducklings are able to leave the nest and follow their mother to areas with food and cover. Remember when spotting any wildlife to refrain from feeding, as it may alter natural instincts.
