I πŸ’œ abs supine with the little ball underneath the sacrum. It's such a great way to work the core without lifting the head, so clients with tight & sore necks love it. The ball holds the spine in a neutral position, so clients with lordotic lower backs and/or sore lower backs love it. It works the core and not the upper abs, which I love. Basically it's just all about the LOVE! . Here I demonstrate some of my fav exercises on the little ball - big circles in both directions, bicycle legs, passΓ© and double leg lowers. Little frog was in the video too but didn't make the final 1 minute :( Tips: . βœ”οΈtailbone is heavy, natural curve in spine maintained, βœ”οΈribs melt down to the hips, βœ”οΈneutral flat pelvis - you could balance a saucer and cup of tea on your pelvis it's that flat and stable! βœ”οΈhip bones draw towards each other, pelvic floor lifts up and away from the ball, βœ”οΈneck and shoulders relaxed, βœ”οΈelbows bent, elbows resting on the floor with palms in the air or arms reach up towards the ceiling in line with the shoulders to challenge! . This is a workout from the 2014 and the 2016 crossfit open. I did it back in 2014 and it nearly killed me. It took me 40 minutes using a 30kg bar. Today I redid the workout and it took me 22 minutes with a 20kg bar. I decided to go a bit lighter only because I wanted to be able to walk and train this week but I am excited to try it again soon with 30kg. I actually really enjoyed the workout πŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™Š. Thrusters are like a squat and press in one movement and bar facing burpees are when you do a burpee facing the bar (chest to ground) and the jump over the bar each time.
