Saturday, YOU HAVE ARRIVED! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™ And to make you guys think about food right in the morning (besides staring at this ๐Ÿ‘† because it's clearly not enough to make you hungry ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ) I am sharing an INTERMITTENT FASTING CONTROVERSY ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Ž. Is it said that an important effect of fasting is higher energy levels because while when you are full and satiated you feel more sedentary ๐Ÿ‘ฃ And when you are hungry, your body is programmed naturally to look for food. And you WONโ€™T STOP until you get it (preworkout feelings much? ๐Ÿ˜‚) However, and this is only my personal opinion, after 7 hours of fasting (aka, sleeping โ€“ why would you think that would I wait so many hours to eat food again anyway?), the first thing I want to do isโ€ฆ ๐Ÿค”EAT obviously ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ So, I personally cannot understand how I would be able to feel full of energy and alertness with my stomach craving 24/7 for food. Besides: โ—๏ธmeals around workouts are CRUCIAL for a good performance, recovery and muscle gain. And no, not eating anything before your workout doesnโ€™t lead to a better workout โ€“ quite the opposite! โ—๏ธby doing exercise fasted you will most likely lose all that precious muscle that took so much time to gains. Yes, if you donโ€™t have any fuel, your body will use MUSCLE for fuel ๐Ÿ‘Ž โ—๏ธplus, if you are trying to LOSE weight or GAIN weight, you should definitely place your higher intakes around your workouts, because thatโ€™s when you will burn more calories overall and lead to the highest gains ๐Ÿ’ช It's a controversial topic, yes, and this is my humble opinion.
