Drop your volume AND intensity way back. Instead of lifting 4-6 days a week, lift twice per week. You should leave the gym feeling energetic and not drained. โœ… # 2. Do more low intensity cardio. Spend time out in nature, do lots of walking, swimming and more. Break a sweat, but don't smash yourself with high intensity stuff. โœ… # 3. Eat more food. Up your calories every single day. Keep your protein high and adjust your increase via carb or fat intake based on your preference. โœ… # 4. Sleep more. Add nanna-naps throughout the day or go to bed earlier. โœ… # 5. Do this for as long as you have to, which normally wouldn't take more than 4 weeks. โœ… # 6. Many people think that lifting weights automatically assumes that you'll be stiff as a brick and not able to touch your hands any further than your knees. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป # That couldn't be further from the truth. # I mean, there's some truth in it, which is quite evident by the meatheads who live on the preacher curl machine and sit in front of a desk all the day long... # But, THAT's not enough ground to say that 'strength training is bad for your flexibility'. # I'm not a gymnast nor can I just drop into the splits anymore (used to...), but I know one thing for sure - and it is that strength training (when performed correctly) will actually make you MORE flexible. # Not less ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผ # Have you found this to be true?
