A #screwthescale post normally goes like this... the 'after' pic looks smaller than the 'before' pic despite weighing more. Well, not in my case. I'm comparing my lightest to heaviest, one year apart, and while some might say this a real regression scenario, I disagree. I look heavier on the right, less defined etc but I'm also a lot muscular and a lot stronger. Seeing these pics side by side, I can now honestly say that being 'skinny' is not what I want anymore. It blows my mind to think what I can do in terms of training and the strength I have gained vs back then. The main difference between these two pics is that I solely did BBG this time last year, and was eating much less. Now I still do BBG but I've also added in some weight training which I think I needed to balance my lower and upper body strength a bit more. I also eat around 600-800 cals more. Neither physiques are better or worse than the other, or will they be everyone's cuppa tea. Ok- today was probably the first workout that I felt the effects of prep. I got a new workout rotation (currently eating the same meals) this was my first leg day of the new rotation and my legs were shaking by my second exercise - I was feeling tired and every hangry and just wanted to get home to my pup and eat!!! This pic vs previous which I just posted is good example between morning workout (empty stomach) vs night workout (full stomach) You might think🤔 does he go to the gym twice😲 and the answer would be Yep I do hit the gym twice on Monday and Tuesdays because i dont work on this two days. as you can see the light for showers still not on. Here's another GREAT quick priming/mobility matrix @zini_fit and I used prior to our bench workout Monday. It's important to have both scapular stability and mobility (inherently opposite I know) prior to benching, and I find these moves do just that. I would do each of these moves for 15-30 seconds with some scapular band work (coming later) to maximize your horizontal and vertical pressing movements and ensure shoulder health!

Everything we do from getting up, going to work, hitting the gym, buying that outfit or pair of shoes... we do it for one big reason to Chase Happiness. So many of us care about what others "think" while we find or do what makes us happy... but at the end of the day.... Who Cares!!! Most of those who have something negative to say are the ones that are TRULY UNHAPPY. I've said it before stop living for other people and do shit that makes you HAPPY.

I am loving my diet! I eat all the time! Five meals a day is way better than three 💪🏻I NEVER get the urge to snack because I have all my meals prepped and I eat them about every three hours. Here I have some Laura's lean ground beef (so flavorful) brazil nuts and broccoli!

Been working on a lot of single compound movements. I feel as if I am working on one part of the shoulder for example I am giving full attention to that shoulder. Rather than doing both shoulder at the same time. Depending on what workout I am working on. That's just my opinion on how I am training right now. Here I am doing Single Lateral Cable raise. Making sure that I lean out a little to prevent from swing too much. Than focusing on pulling up slowly. Here I decided to do triple drop set on these starting at 30 lbs, 20 lbs, and than 15 lbs.

Trained arms and chest today! First chest session in such a long time. I have had issues with my sternum for a couple of years now so I listened to my body and gave it a break 🙌🏽 Over this time I went from 60KG bench press to 6KG Dumbbells but that's okay - as much as I believe in pushing yourself 💯 I also believe in listening to your body. Might give this a go next time I'm training triceps 😂. In all seriousness this guy is making a right fool of himself and is a victim of his own ego. What's worrying is he isn't alone, nearly every day I'll spot someone who is lifting a weight they just can't handle. If your lifting a weight that you need to compromise form or do half reps with then you need to drop the weight. So funny that a month ago, I had never done these before…and now they're my favorite. Less than seven weeks out from my first show ever and I'm really enjoying each and every lift. Making every rep intentional as opposed to just going through the motions. We definitely all have those days that are tougher than others, but your mind is a powerful thing and can trained to always see things in a positive light. Picture on the left is current me at a slight fluffy 185lbs lol, and right is from 2012 at 165lbs. • • This didn't happen over night, or even in a few months. This took five years...I'm posting this for people who are impatient like me. If you're getting tired of feeling like you look the same, or you're not quite meeting your goals, just relax. I know how it feels to get frustrated after not seeing results in a week or even a few months. It's discouraging and you almost feel like giving up at times. You just have to realize this process takes time. It's an annoying, tedious, journey. But in the end, it's worth it.
