I mean, it's a legitimate question πŸ€” β€’ β€’ Funny story, I busted my upper lip last night at @vita_athletics while doing a warn up burpee and it was swollen almost instantly. I just laughed and asked myself, "why don't everyone do this?!!".. Not having your lip busted obviously πŸ˜‚ β€’ β€’ Working out and taking care of yourself is a blessing and a privilege. We focus so much on what we have to lose rather than what we can actually gain (which is a whole lot!).. There are so many people who can't walk that would love to have your perfectly working legs. People who suffer from extreme heart issues who would love to be able to run a marathon at least once. Don't take your body and health for granted because when the time comes that you can't do what you can do now, you'll wish you took better care of yourself today. Yes, it takes time and effort but so does everything else in your life and health is a huge part of your life. Now go and make this day better than yesterday!! Here are quick tips by @scottfournierpt on what to avoid + what to do!! . ❌ Anterior pelvic tilt (hips dump forward) shows us weak core engagement, leaving us to hang out on our spine and connective tissue. Not something we want to put our bodies through, especially at the end ranges this exercise presents. Weight is unloaded onto knees between reps, which takes tension off the core and makes for wasted movement. This is the "I feel it in my low back" variation πŸ˜‘πŸ˜ž . βœ… Posterior pelvic tilt (tailbone scoops under) shows us strong core engagement, and puts our spine in a happy place. Saying good morning when I feel like saying good night. Totally maxed out on my workout legs shaking and all. Scheduled workout was hammer Plyo but workout done was Insanity Max Friday Round 1. Intense! I really modified almost everything so I am appreciative that they showed the modifications. My laptop wasn't working so next room with roku for workout has a louder floor and I try keeping quiet due to neighbors so I changed workout and will attempt later. If I can get up I'll have breakfast lol!!! Shh at least hubby made food for my daughter's lunchbox.

Pretty interesting study that found that adding an external load of as little as 2% of body weight can decrease jump heights by as much as four inches. Now before you go and try to starve yourself, this is just one study that tried to mimic the addition of body fat all at once. In the real world weight is gained more gradually and your body is better able to adjust to a slow change in body weight. In addition, this study does not at all mimic the effects of additional muscle because muscle usually comes with disproportionately larger strength gains. All that being said, this study does jive with some thoughts I’ve had recently that the absolute fastest way for a lot people to increase their overall performance would probably be to focus on losing any excess fat that’s weighing them down. A 'six pack' is not necessarily an indication of a strong core. WHY? πŸ‘‡ . 1. Your core is made up of three layers of muscle. That six pack you see posted all over social media is called the rectus abdominis and is the most superficial layer, yet it is the one everyone wants to work. You can see your six pack when you have low levels of body fat, not because your core is strong. . 2. A strong core actually comes from strengthening the deeper abdominal muscles - your internal and external obliques, and transverse abdominis. These are the muscles responsible for rotation and stabilisation of your spine, and you can strengthen these muscles through plank holds and heavy compound exercises including the squat and deadlift. .
