Day 30/90 #BulkLegs! I have been trying to figure out why my legs are so stubborn, besides my knee issues! Then I had an #ahamoment while I had my normal conversation with myself before pushing play (I may or may not have a problem as far as talking to myself goes), it hit me that maybe my legs are stubborn to respond because my mind allows it to be! I went in today with my mind set to be more stubborn, I pushed hard, went up with everything, and killed it! My legs are toast, my mind won!!! I won! On a side note- happy to see my collagen in my mail today, hoping it will help with my knee issues. Super awesome (mostly) leg day!! I only got to 195 # on my deadlift today without my back flaring up. I almost always lift less on after work, which is usually why I train legs on days off, but sometimes you have to suck it up!! I documented my workout which was totally made up on the fly based off of what I've done with @maxfitandwell and at #orangetheory. Super sweaty after today's strength workout because I now aim to end on the treadmill! Today was was a great full body workout with lots of lunges, short rows and heavy single arm work! I decided to stop being a baby and pick up the heavier weights at #orangetheory. I'm not sure why I went so light before, I mean I aim to lift heavy on days the days I'm not at #otfballston!! So happy that I went to the 5am class before work too...it's always a struggle to get up early and workout, but the top statement is correct, I always feel better after a morning workout than when I sleep the extra hour!! Focus T25 Alpha Cardio done. It's the same one I did last night because I wanted a sneak peek to what I was getting myself into!๐Ÿ˜œ Anyone who's doing T25, be sure you do the cool down that follows the 25 minute workout. It's only a couple of minutes but SO important!! Do not skip the cool down.

Shaun T is seriously my favorite trainer! His workouts are crazy fun, extreme at times, and super motivating! Those moments I want to quit I hear him say to push harder and dig deeper. Those words have stuck with me when I face a challenge. When I don't think I can do anymore, I hear those words and push myself to keep going - that's when I realize that I'm stronger than I think! Strength comes from doing what we thought we couldn't.

While cleaning out my closet I came across one of my favorite pairs of "lounge around the house" pants I used to wear often. They used to fit me "good" too if you catch my drift.๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm in utter disbelief and shock right now!!! I'm overwhelmed with joy and pride for the accomplishments I've made over time. My emotions are bouncing around all over the place!!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ‘ I have worked hard since I started my fitness journey in mid May of 2016. It hasn't been a perfect journey and my nutrition isn't 100% on point, but it's a lot better than what it was!! I do my best to workout daily and make better food choices. This is proof to me that the little things you do daily add up to a lot over time!! I don't want to be perfect nor do I expect myself to be anymore! I am still striving to make more improvements though. I'm trying to be more appreciative so I've started a gratitude journal. I'm trying to become more organized and work on my time management as well. I work outside of my home while also working to build a life by my design. My daily commute is 2 hrs I have a family, I have this and that. I have a lot of "excuses" why I could give up. But I have one damn good reason to stick with this!! ME!!!๐Ÿ’ช These small changes I have made have made a HUGE difference in my life!! My confidence is becoming genuine and so is the smile on my face. I don't feel anxious when we have an event to attend and I have to figure out what to wear.๐Ÿ˜ I haven't made these changes to be skinny. I did this to be happy with myself. To love the person I am. To look at the woman in the mirror and smile when I see her instead if cringing. Looking at myself with disgust before was tearing me apart! ๐Ÿ˜ข If you've thought about trying something different, something to make you feel good about yourself DO IT!! Just decide, commit, and succeed!! It's not always easy and you're probably going to want to throw in towel like I did so many times before. But go into it knowing that it will probably get a little harder right before you have a break thru and it becomes easier. Hold yourself accountable! Don't give up on your commitment to yourself! ๐Ÿ˜I know if I can do it YOU can too!!!๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘Š

I am beyond excited to see I am getting stronger! I am still struggling with the eating healthy though ..I am running into so many issues with bloating due to being lactose intolerant I am so sick of having to take lactose pills just so I can get the protein I need ! I am trying to up my probiotic intake but so many of those things have dairy ! So some sort or lactose. I really love this program!! It makes me feel strong and empowered. It's different from any other program I've ever done!! You move slowly so there is no momentum. You really rely on your strength to keep going. You can only reach failure between 10-12 reps meaning you just couldn't do another rep. If you "fail" before that, meaning you have to stop before you can reach 10 reps, then your weight(s) were too heavy and you need to go lighter next time. If you can keep going with no problem after 12 reps they were too light. You're really building muscle this way and best of all muscle burns fat!! Lifting doesn't make you bulk up!! It makes you lean, toned, and strong!! Today is World Rare Disease day! So I am sharing a bit of my story and giving a shout out to so many amazing people with rare and chronic disease. :-* Fibrous dysplasia is a rare bone disorder in which scar-like (fibrous) tissue develops instead of normal bone. As the bone grows, the fibrous tissue gradually expands, weakening the bone causing it to deform or fracture. Fibrous dysplasia is linked to a gene mutation that affects the cells that produce bone. Fibrous dysplasia is very rare, and there is no known cure.
