Even the first year or so I didn't really see much of a difference except in my quads (I was so incredibly frustrated) but I knew that muscle did not build over night so I just focused on consistency and am finally starting to see the results I've always wanted. STRETCHING IS LIFE!!! & very beneficial. I've heard & seen it's best to stretch before, stretch after, or do both for physical fitness/to get the most benefits out of it. It's everybody's own personal preference on what they like to do/works for them more. IMO I myself like to stretch before AND after my workouts. Though I don't always do it before & after every single workout, I usually do it before- & try my hardest to stretch afterwards too! This morning I didn't have time to stretch after my workout & I regret it bc I'm now feeling it very much 😩 • The benefits of stretching are endless- 🌸increased flexibility & joint range of motion 🌸improved circulation 🌸better posture 🌸decrease risk of injuries 🌸maximize muscle growth 🌸helps reduce muscle fatigue 🌸speeds the process of injured or overtrained muscles • & so much more!! I can't even tell y'all all of the benefits of stretching but those are some key points. I stretched before I took this video & you can see I clearly almost fell over but IT'S OK I'm human lmao. Stretch before & after your workouts kids!! Dumbbell row drop set! I haven't stepped on the scale in a while, and I stepped on it this morning to see that I am 151lbs (at 5'6). I don't use the scale as a way to measure progress and I personally care more about how I feel and how I look vs the number on the scale. I want you to know that if you are starting out your fitness journey, you're lifting weights and you are confused as to why you are not dropping weight - 1lb of muscle looks a lot different than 1lb of fat. I know that many people have the mindset of doing chronic cardio to lose weight - and you will lose weight, but you will lose muscle as well. This will result in a slower metabolism and eventually set you back in the long run. When you have more muscle, aside from gaining more self-confidence, you can experience increased strength (making everyday tasks a lot easier), stronger bones, tendons and ligaments (meaning less chance of injury) - and you will actually burn more calories at rest. Day 452: I finally did it!!! I got a 95.3 on my PT test!!!! After weeks of weather cancellations, they finally ran the test. I wasn't concerned with the push-ups or sit ups. My goal was to hit the max number to get the max points. I was focused on a smaller waist and faster run.
