Forever a poser 🤳🏻 Always get people asking how many times a week I go to the gym to get into this shape, but what they forget to ask is, how early do you wake up before a shift to do cardio? How long do your spend your prepping meals? How much water do you drink until your belly can't take anymore? How much thought and effort do you put into every session you do? Yes the amount of times you go to the gym a week is a factor of getting a good body, but there is so much more to it. Although some people may not agree with or understand this lifestyle, I enjoy it, and am so happy with what I achieved. Variety in Vegetables. One of the coplaints I hear from time to time is the lack of variety while following a meal plan. This is really not the case and sometimes we just need to look at the situation through a different lens to see other possibilities. Vegetables are an amazing source of variety. Not only do they each have a specific flavour, but using different methods to cook them offers more variety in taste and texture! I like to switch up the veggies I'm eating every couple weeks to keep things fresh! This week I bought asparagus, celery, fennel, kale, carrots, red onion and spinach. Amd of course sweet potatoe for my starch ☺ Toying with the idea at posting more food related content and recipes. Happy Friday everyone 🎉☺️ I've been reading a few people's write ups under their photos about their transformations and it really does help to realise you aren't alone☺️! On the left I had become obsessed with over exercising and counting calories! I'd avoid social situations as I didn't want to eat 'unhealthy meals' or before I would go I would look at the nutrition on the websites. I'd also only eat 'bad' things if I knew I could exercise the following day😞. One time I went to a buffet and because I ate lots I didn't eat the following day till tea time and then only had something small like a sandwich as I claimed I was still full from the day before when really I was trying to compensate calories, another time I wanted an ice cream and after I ate it I cried because no one had stopped me from having it and I felt guilty, this was not normal behaviour at all🙄. My days were consumed with exercise - I'd go on a 5 mile run then go straight to a spin class followed by kettlebells and then after work I'd walk 5 miles🚴‍♀️I ended up with no spare time and looking very ill and feeling depleted all the time😞I didn't know anyone else like me and felt like no one understood as no one really did. I had gone from being in control of my food and exercise to it then being in control of me! Eventually I managed to get over both obsessions and now enjoy a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle with no guilt over any food whatsoever 🚴‍♀️🍕🍟 I've been away a few times now which has involved no exercise at all and I haven't been bothered! To some that might seem like nothing but to the people close to me they know that is a huge achievement 🎉 and from changing I did not get fat, or unfit. PH3 Day 87 last session before the One Rep Max Test🔥. Skwats and Bench @ 72.5% for 4 sets of 4 and Deadlifts @ 70% 3 sets of 3. Weight felt light today, which is the purpose, the low percentages allow you to go through a session without too much exhaustion days before testing one's 1RM. Got a chance to really focus on form, breathing, and getting the most out of each rep. Stoked to see the progress I have made this weekend. 🤙
