@bjgaddour - THE BEST QUADS EXERCISE YOU'RE NOT DOING! The #HackSquat from @matrixfitnessusa is a new discovery for me and it's already been a total game-changer. Because my glutes and hamstrings are so dominant, most bilateral squats never really get me a good quad stimulus (yes, even front squats). But hack squats target the hell out of my quads because my hamstrings and glutes can't help much. They also provide the spinal support and stability so you can safely murder your thighs. I've been doing 2 minute time-under-tension sets with a slow 4-second lowering, pause at bottom, and stopping✋short of full knee extension for constant tension. The unit is a little over 100-pounds and I've only got a 10-pound plate on each side and it's absolutely rocking my world🌎. What I love❤️about fitness is it will always find a way to humble you. Switch it up with LEANING LATERAL RAISES - This little variation makes a huge difference. The lean gives you a greater range of motion meaning your work more of the muscles meaning you see better results 🙌🏻 A couple tips for when you try it: 🔹Make sure whatever you are holding onto is sturdy and extend the non working arm all the way 🔹Hold the weight with your thumb overtop 🔹Keep your arm straight without locking the elbow 🔹Raise the arm just to shoulder height, not above 🔹Share this with someone who's trying to build their #shoulders - Any questions feel free to DM or email me 😃

Sport: Roller Derby Location: The Cell Block Calories Burned: 483/hr Sweat Factor: 💧💧💧 Fun Factor: 😊 Worries/Preconceptions: As soon as I got an email from “Shadow Soldier” briefing me on what I needed (pads, helmets, pads, mouth guard, more pads), I knew I was in store for something painful. I haven’t skated in a while. My friend Katie invited me to roller skate 2 weeks ago, but I couldn't go because I ate too much Chinese food. #ScrewedByKungFood Review: Thankfully, roller derby wasn’t the pain fest I feared it would be. I did fall…a lot—but the first lesson they taught you was how to fall correctly and painlessly so it really wasn’t bad! Roller derby was somehow both easier and harder than I thought it would be. The rules are simple: the jammer has to bypass everyone to score a point. The blockers try to prevent that from happening. There’s a lot of strategy though within it! This class was part of a boot camp taught by the team, so while it would be impossible to master roller derby in one day, it was incredible being surrounded by a group of bad ass women. They are incredibly inspiring!

#Repost @therunningbartender with @repostapp ・・・ Recovering post 22 mile depletion run (2.42) with @hammernutrition #recoverite and #xobaline I must say I really missed taking my gels on this run a I def noticed the difference. My body really started to break down around 17 miles I felt nauseous and just before 20 I had a pretty bad anxiety attack something iv never had during a run which I feel really upset about because running is my escape from anxiety my chest hurts pretty bad right now but I calmed myself down got my breath back and continued with the run. I really couldn't wait to get home and drink recoverite I could taste it at 18 miles I currently have the strawberry flavor and my body was craving it then which lets me know my body really was depleted at that moment. Tony's been working on his first pull and we've been trying to get him to stay over the bar long as possible. We had him doing (3pulls to thigh high+1clean)x6sets at 93kg/205lb. This was his last set, but his back was starting to get tired and he wasn't able to keep the bar as close as he did on the other sets. This was also after doing front squats up to 111kg/245lb for a triple. Age: 18 Bodyweight: 68kg/150lb

This "ain't got no time" workout was for #workoutwednesday but wouldn't you know it I was like "Heck, I ain't got no time to post it!" So.. #latergram 💪🏻 - - move through these at a steady, consistent pace to get yer cardio + strength; one 'n done. 6 rounds, ten reps each movement (10/side on step ups). Step ups to reverse lunge. "Why do you look silly with your hands up?" 🙌🏼 Keeps my core engaged and I don't rely on momentum- just the booty. Hand release push-ups with a lil reach to give some love to the shoulders and back. Sit up with overheard extension. Core. Core. Core. And squat jumps because, #glutes 🍑 More? Add 1 or 2 mins of jump roping to each round. 😘😘 #workingoutisfun

Avoid allowing the chest to fall to the ground when you begin to move through the crawling pattern. _____________________________________________ HOW TO USE: The Bear Crawl is great as a warm-up exercise or as a core specific exercise. Shoot for 2-4 sets of 8-12 steps.
