REPORT: Cleveland Cavaliers players have reportedly told Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler to avoid a trade to the reigning Eastern Conference champions due to the group's uncertain future following the departure of general manager David Griffin this week.
On Wednesday, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported members of the Cavs who previously urged Butler to push for a deal to join the organization are now telling him the opposite. They are worried about an early "unforeseen early breakup" of the star-studded roster.

REPORT: The Los Angeles Lakers will trade Timofey Mozgov and D’Angelo Russell to the Brooklyn Nets for Brook Lopez and the No. 27 overall pick in the 2017 draft on Thursday, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal comes just days after Paul George told the Indiana Pacers he would not re-sign after his contract expired in 2018, stating he preferred landing with the Lakers.
REPORT: Toronto Raptorspresident Masai Ujiri believes the point guard wants to return. "He's been a part of our organization, and he says he wants to come back," Ujiri said Tuesday, per ESPN.com.

REPORT: Kyrie Irving telling other stars he might push for trade if LeBron James leaves Cavaliers.
All-Star Kyrie Irving has been contacting some of his former Team USA teammates and letting them know that he might be willing to push for a trade, especially if he feels the Cavs’ run could end quickly with James able to opt out after next season.
Through back channels, Chicago would be one of the places that Irving would be interested to play.

Sources told Cowley that Butler has spoken to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving and that indications are Butler may push the Bulls front office to send him to the defending Eastern Conference champs.
ESPN.com's Marc Stein first reported Monday that Cleveland was attempting to put together a deal to pry Butler away from Chicago.

REPORT: Kyle Lowry reportedly has "zero interest" in returning to the Toronto Raptors.
On Monday, Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star cited multiple league sources who said the free agent "has been grumbling about dissatisfaction with the Raptors for months." Arthur noted other teams were told the zero interest tidbit in May even if Toronto offered him a maximum five-year deal.

REPORT: The Boston Celtics will shake up the top of the 2017 NBA draft by trading the No. 1 overall pick to the Philadelphia 76ers.
TNT's David Aldridge first reported the sides agreed to a deal that will send the No. 1 pick to Philadelphia and will be finalized Monday, and the 76ers are expected to take Washington star Markelle Fultz.
Boston will receive the 2017 pick and the 2018 pick with protections. The 2019 first-round pick from the Kings would only go to the Celtics if the 2018 pick does not convey.
