Alternate "Black Out" Celtics jerseys designed by @rtpgfx What would you rate these 1-10? I'd give em a 9, only reason they aren't a 10 is because of that Celtic logo on the "ON" of Boston. Other than that they look amazing! πŸ”₯

As expected, Isaiah Thomas' hip injury won't require surgeryπŸ™πŸ½

First look at Isaiah Thomas in NBA 2k18πŸ‘€πŸ”₯

I don't think you guys understand Isaiah's contract situation as much as you think you do. We have bird rights on him, which means we can sign him to a max contract regardless of our cap situation. We don't have to worry about preserving or clearing cap space to resign him next offseason.

Boston has placed an obligatory phone call to the Cleveland Cavaliers expressing interest in Kyrie Irving, Zach Lowe reports. The primary rumored trade package includes Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and any number of possible high, first round draft picks. If you ask me, I think this is a complete ripoff. Trading Isaiah for Kyrie straight up would already be a bad trade for us... but add Crowder and high draft picks? That's just laughable and completely absurd. No need to worry though, Ainge wouldn't pull this move in a million years. I severely doubt that Kyrie Irving is coming to Boston anytime soon. Thoughts? πŸ“·: @theleaguesource

Who else is missing Celtics basketball? 😫☘️

Bleacher Report ranked Boston's starting lineup 6th in the NBA, right behind the Warriors, Rockets, Thunder, Cavs, and Wizards. I disagree with the Wizards being ahead of us, but I can see where B/R is coming from. The rest are okay, but if Kyrie gets traded I would move Cleveland below us. We can work with multiple starting lineup combinations and I think that will be a strength of this Celtics team that some of the teams ahead of us won't have. Where would you rank the Celtics' starting lineup, and who behind? πŸ€”β˜˜οΈ

The Cleveland Cavaliers are falling apart right before our eyes, and I couldn't find it more hilarious. As you all know, Kyrie Irving requested a trade from Cleveland last week. His issues with the organization actually trace all the way back to the 2014 offseason when he signed a 5 year contract extension with the team. David Griffin, their now ex-GM, convinced Kyrie that he would be the guy. The team would be built around him, and he would be the primary star. That only lasted for about 10 days. LeBron announced his return to Cleveland the same day that Kyrie's contract extension was officially announced. Turns out he signed up for something he didn't mean to. Of course, LeBron wasted no time taking over the organization. Just months later, in January of 2015, Cleveland traded for JR Smith and Iman Shumpert. What does he convince the front office to do? Overpay them so they return to the roster. That's only one of many examples of the pushes he's made for Cleveland's front office to make a boneheaded move. The same exact thing happened with Tristain Thompson when he signed a 5yr/$82m deal with the Cavs. They've reached the highest payroll in NBA history, and it's not all on the front office's shoulders. In fact, I put more blame on LeBron than I do their front office. He built this team how he wanted it, yet has the audacity to complain about it. He's put them in a situation where the biggest moves they've made this offseason are promoting an assistant general manager to general manager after weeks of not having one, and signing Jose Calderon. (Pretty pathetic, am I right?) Now, there's a whirlwind of questions over Quicken Loans Arena. Will the Cavs trade Kyrie Irving? Will they let LeBron walk next offseason? Could they possibly even trade him so they aren't left empty handed? There's going to be at least one answer that spells bad news for the Cavs. I don't see how Kyrie and LeBron will both stay on the team at this rate. The storylines don't point towards anything proving that they will. I hope you enjoyed your reign of supremacy among the East, Cleveland. Give it a year or two, and you've got a new Eastern Conference Champion.

The Celtics have signed Shane Larkin to a 1 year, guaranteed deal worth approximately $1.5m. Larkin was drafted 18th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2013. He spent the past year in Europe and left quite a bit of money on the table to make an NBA return. Welcome to Boston @shanelarkin_0! πŸ€

The chances are slim, but if the Celtics manage to get Anthony Davis, how far could they go? πŸ€”β˜˜οΈ

What part of the Pierce era (outside of when he was a Celtic) was your favorite? Personally, I loved seeing him play in Washington. He brought great veteran leadership (and swept the Raptors😊) to that team before they got all cocky and arrogant.

πŸŽ₯ Highlight Reel πŸŽ₯ Celtics fall to the Mavericks 91-74 as their Summer League run comes to an end. Dallas had been extremely dominant coming into this game, and the absences of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Abdul Nader, and Ante Zizic certainly didn't help. It was fun watching Boston's youth compete against all the other young players across the league! I'm glad we get to come to Vegas every summer to display the development of all our young players. Good luck to the Dallas Mavericks and all the other teams the rest of the way! πŸ€
