In 2 weeks time I'll be lining up for my 4th Cradle Mountain Run, 80kms down #tasmania's iconic Overland Track. I'm not in my best shape (far from it!), but it'll be a blast nonetheless. It's such an amazing privilege to be able to take part in this event.
As seen in this pic from the last run, I'm looking forward to chasing @k_mac_trailrunner again (can never catch her), but will sadly be missing my pacer - Andy of @kooeesnacksau (he's getting old, fat and bald)
Bring on some epic trails to kick off 2017!!
#love this place. We're pretty #spoilt here in #launceston.
Love my #backyard!
Beaut afternoon to hit the trails through Trevallyn Reserve!

When you go for a walk on the beach and there's not a single other person on it.....
2016 was a frustrating year in terms of running for me. Dealt with a few 'niggling' injuries (getting old), had a lazy patch where I didn't run for about 6 weeks, but then was really pleased with how I finished the year.
By the end of September (9 months) I had only just hit 1000kms (typically I run over 2000kms per year), so I wondered if I could run 1000kms in the final 3 months of the year.
Sadly I didn't make it (nor the 2000kms for the year), however am really pleased to have averaged over 70kms per week and knocked out about 950kms in total through Oct-Dec and got pretty close.
Hoping to keep the momentum up and have a solid 2017 which will start in early Feb with one of my faves - the 80km Cradle Mountain Run, north to south on Tasmania's iconic Overland Track. Let's do this!
Enjoyed the 23kms / 1350mtrs elevation trotting around the Dial Range with Tim in #tasmania's north-west this arvo. Only came across 3 snakes too, one of which reared up at us - always adds to the excitement.
