Wishing all my Instagram Friends a wonderful holiday filled with love, health, and Joy ❤

Although many associate the palm tree 🌴with South Florida, there are really many beautiful indigenous trees typical of our state.

I edit this photo depending on my mood. The original photo was taken at a tract of land that has been developed to be the home of a new American Express building. All the beautiful pieces of land are being developed to become either new homes or commercial buildings. This photo of the setting sun is just my little way of saying goodbye to what is and making way to what is to come. Love photo editing 😘

Sometimes when I take a photo of a a special tree that speaks to me, I try to look beyond to see how its essence will reflect as a captured image.

Flamingo Gardens photo, Davie, Florida. Some parts of this park have the look and feel of a tropical rain forest. But in Florida, especially during rainy season and the hot summers, I sometimes feel home actually is a tropical rain forest 🌳⛈☔️

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I grew up in New York City, right in the heart of Manhattan. There were very few trees to see and appreciate except in the city parks. Even today, many years later and living far away from New York City, I still remember what it meant to be treeless and smile at my great fortune now having trees in my life. 🌳🌲🌴

"We are aware only of the empty space in the forest, which only yesterday was filled with trees." ~Anna Freud~ I often went to my favorite tract of land and photographed the trees in this tranquil refuge. But now, all the trees have been felled and the land is being readied for new home construction. What price is progress?

"The more often we see the things around us - even the beautiful and wonderful things - the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds - even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less." ~Joseph B. Wirthlin~

"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?" ~J. B. Priestley~ Just an aside, the snow scene is by photo edit...trying to capture a winter scene that you cannot find in South Florida ⛄️😊❄️⛄️

"I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars." ~Og Mandino~

"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls." ~Mother Teresa~

“A man who sits under a tree and dreams makes more journey than a man who goes around the world without dreaming!" ~Mehmet Murat idan~

Florida has many varieties of Palm trees which are hearty and do well in sunlight...perfect for tropical climates 🌴

How I would love the rural life style and being surrounded by the beauty of nature in its natural state right at my door step😃

We went to Fern Forest Nature Center in Pompano Beach, Florida and saw many varieties of trees. Love 💚 those trees 🍃🌳🌿🌲🌴

This tree has really grown! I remember when it was planted as a young tree. Now it towers over the two story building🌳🍃🌿🌲

As I was walking my dog, I suddenly realized how huge these leaves looked after our morning rain. I tried to capture them but they look even larger in person 🌿🍃🌿🍃

South Florida trees and plants thriving after a heavy rain the night before🌿🌳🌲🌴
