Life update! It's not @weightwatchers related, but you guys are my fam, so I gotta share. Knowing that I have two semesters of undergrad left, it's time to make a decision when it comes to credential programs. For those of you who don't know, I've been an instructional aide in special education for seven years, but I've been against teaching SpEd. The actual pile of 💩 that I have been forced to deal with has been ridiculous and turned me off on the idea of teaching it. I've had my mind set on teaching primary general education and getting my credential through CalStateTEACH so that all of my classes would be online. However, earlier this week, two of my friends and colleagues had a long talk with me and helped me come to realize that what I love about teaching IS what SpEd gives me the opportunity to teach. After this "come to Jesus" talk, I've officially changed my mind. In October, I will apply for acceptance into the SpEd credential program at CSUMB that will start Summer '19...about a month after I graduate with my BA! Life is getting exciting, y'all!!

Special Ed teachers are in need. Smart choice. I’m in Sonoma County and we are short on SpEd and Speech teachers. Fingers crossed on CSUMB...

@lmw707 We're short on them in Monterey County, too. The elementary school district I work in and our high school district recruited teachers from the Philippines because there's such a need. Thanks for the 🤞!!
