Styx & Stones By @carmenjennerauthor
I have the biggest headache, blocked nose and sore eyes after finishing Styx and Stones it was such a sad book but this story was so much more than the main characters being sick and let’s just say not getting a happy ending.
This story was beautifully written to start off with but it really made me think that you know what, we do have one life and you really need to make the most of it anything can happen and this love story was different but really really beautiful.
I loved Styx and Alaska’s relationship when they first started talking thier banter was so funny that there were parts i wasn’t sure i was laughing or crying but sometimes i laughed out loud because let’s face it Styx really had no filter and what came out of his mouth was to funny.
Alaska was also just a beautiful character who struggled with her illness and really didn’t know how to feel so when she saw Styx and started to talking to him she knew that he would be the rock that she needed.
This story was beautifully told and it kind of didn’t go the way i thought it would, but even though these characters make the best of the situation that they have and try and do as much together as possible i really live that this story was told. Ok it doesn’t have a happy ending but not everyone’s life does and i love being thrown back into reality once in a while with a book.
This will be a book i will never forget and a story that i will hold close to my heart like a couple of other books i have loved for this reason. The fact we got a little bit extra Harley and the one scene with him and Styx just broke my heart.
