📕📗 GIVEAWAY 📙📘
I've been thinking about what might be interesting to readers of Japanese literature (or those wanting to try it for the first time), and decided to do a little book giveaway of one of my favorite authors, Yoko Ogawa.
You've likely seen her new novel The Memory Police on feeds everywhere. (I like the cover a lot). The English release has been getting a whole lot of press this summer. (It was first released in Japan in 1994, the paperback (pictured) in 1999.)
So what's the giveaway about? It’s easy.
If you sign up for the Book Nerd Tokyo Newsletter by 9/26 (PST), you'll be entered to win BOTH of these books - English and Japanese. (Signup link is in bio👆🏻)
(If you don't read Japanese, there may be a Japanese-reader near you who will love you for the rest of your life if you gift this to them. I know the desperate state one can enter when living in a land far from home. 😉)
For those who have already signed up for the newsletter, you are OF COURSE entered into the giveaway. And for those on the fence, sign-up also comes with a free Tokyo Bookstore Guide. Just fyi.
The giveaway is open internationally, and is not affiliated with anyone or anything. The winner will be selected at random and contacted on 9/27.
I'll post my own review of the book in the next week. ❤️
