Day 4: The Search and Rescue Penguins celebrated #WorldPenguinDay with a successful night operation! After being selected as Control Ops I marched my fellow penguins into the bio hazard area. Our mission was to safely package a penguin attendant with a litter full of vials of antidote safely over the edge of a one hundred foot cliff before the zombies attacked. Once the litter was safely on the ground everyone had to de-rig all of the supplies and rappel over the edge. All ropes and penguins touched down at 2200 hours. #SearchAndRescue #Canyonlands #FindYourPark #Night #TheNightIsDarkAndFullOfTerrors #RangerAdventures

When you walk down into a canyon, you must walk back out.

Looking down at the Green River just before it joins the Colorado River. The snow-capped Henry Mountains are visible to the west. Standing on a huge cliff β€” about 1,000 feet straight down to the White Rim. #canyonlandsnationalpark #moab #moabutah #nationalparksweek

Buck Canyon Overlook, looking down onto the White Rim and the snow-capped La Sal Mountains in the distance. The Colorado River is hidden deep in those canyons, about 2,000 feet below. #canyonlandsnationalpark #moab #moabutah #nationalparksweek

The Grand View Trail follows the edge of mesa, about 2,000 feet above the Colorado and Green Rivers. About 1,000 feet down is an area known as the White Rim. About another 1,000 feet down below that are the rivers. You can barely catch glimpses of the rivers from here, because those canyons are so deep. These views look at at the confluence of those two rivers. #canyonlandsnationalpark #moab #moabutah #nationalparksweek

I escaped to Moab, Utah β€” one of my favorite places on the planet β€” for some solo exploring and hiking. Beautiful day here! Sunshine, red rocks, deep canyons, and the snow-capped La Sal Mountains in the background. #canyonlandsnationalpark #moab #moabutah #nationalparkweek
