Here he is, my little dog Charlie. Some humans need therapy dogs, but my dog needs a therapy human. I love taking him for walks and using it as an excuse for a vlog. Out of my 13 episodes, 10 of them include parks or areas to walk in. Part of me feels bad that so many of them are about parks, but I have barely even scratched the surface! We have 12,000 acres of parkland in Monroe County. This was taken on our most recent trip to the Erie Canal. What is your favorite park in the area? Comment below! πŸ“Έ: @hope_breen (4/9) . . . #iheartroc #rochesterny #585 #eriecanal #parks #history #optoutside #visitroc #thisisroc #dogsofinstagram #doggo #cute #adorbs #explorerochester

Inspiring company and slowly working through another fear tonight: running races 😬Something about cross country races in high school always made me sick to my stomach and I never thought I could run that far. Well, this strong, rad lady inspired me to join her for the Race for Grace Thanksgiving 10K. I love running, but am more comfortable with hills and sprints than long, endurance runs. So we did our first 10K run-through tonight on the canal and... my knees feel it. (Distance runner friends: do you have any tips?) Thank you Shawna for being patient with my slower pace! We managed a 9-min mile, but i think she could've done a 7.5 pace. Race goal, @smurfette4ever1? Also, grateful to a few breathwork techniques I learned from @kaspersfocus that have really helped my running. I would highly recommend his breathwork training. Race proceeds go toward childhood cancer association and you can still register if you'd like a Thanksgiving day run benefitting a good cause! πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»πŸ¦ƒ #turkeytrot #thankyouShawna
