I carved out that mountain range with my nips after I got out. Schoolhouse Rock, The Old Main, and Sugarloaf Peaks are iconic names for the WYO Wonder. #WyomingGrown #WyomingAsFolk #MedicineBowedUp

3 hours of hiking for 3 minutes of boarding and a perfectly executed backflip? Worth it.

Mountains forever.... This was SO MUCH work for an unnamed 12er summit. Endless snowfields, steep ascents (1200 ft gain in 0.25 miles!!!!), afternoon postholing, and no county high point summit thanks to a suicidal-looking snow cornice still hanging out on the headwall. Which sums up to a fabulous weekend adventure with more elk spotted than humans.

The humans took me to a strange place to sleep in a temporary house this weekend, but there were many big sticks so I didnโ€™t mind. S/O to my new pal @wildoppabear for showing me how cool rocks are ๐Ÿ•

When I was a kid, growing up in the Medicine Bow Mountains with my sisters, we lived very secluded and remote at an abandoned mining camp. We had to entertain ourselves without friends or technology (back then this just meant TV!) Summer or winter, our life always revolved around being outside. We made forts, collected piles of rocks and sticks, bones and flowers, and slept under the stars. Collecting from nature has a huge influence how I express art. This morning I woke up in the mountains with a guy who loves me, two eager pups ready to help work cows, breakfast cooking and snow flurries outside.. this has become my normal, my happy place and my home, but today it felt like Christmas morning when I walked outside and my sweet baby Jaxx was at the gate waiting to be fed. Simply put, I feel like the most blessed girl in the world and I am so thankful for this life and all of its sweet moments... welcome home big guy!! ๐Ÿด

From the top of our property looking west. Our (next spring) goals include building a simple shelter here and transporting guests by ATV to their secluded getaway. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒŸ who wants to come?
