Welcome to another edition of Meet the Raiders, where we celebrate the athletes of SOU and hopefully the phone doesn't autocorrect the name. This weekend we give you Kayle Blackmore! Kayle is a senior studying Communications with an emphasis on Social Media and Public Engagement. She is a Leo, and a huge fan of narwhals. This season Kayle did an amazing job of battling back from injuries last year to earn her second cross country All-American award with her 26th place finish. But that's not where it stops! She has also been a 3x All-American on the track for the Raiders. When she's not competing at the national level Kayle can be found on the list of SOU running greats, running on the school record 4x800 and DMR relays and clocking the 2nd fastest 5k in school history. If this interview wasn't enough to hold your appetite over, you can always try 'Cooking with Kayle' on her YouTube channel:

UGLY SWEATER COMPETITION!!!🎄 Here were our finalists! #SOUBRC

Fall term is over. I can’t imagine that time goes so quickly and now I need to return to Finland. I am so happy that I chose to study at SOU and I was a part of this International family.  It has truly been a pleasure for me to meet so wonderful people here — my new friends, classmates and professors. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience and opportunity to live and study at SOU; to feel this American culture and atmosphere; to speak English; to learn something new; to travel; to develop myself; to study hard and to pass all my exams. THANK YOU! I AM SO HAPPY!

Making school history was cool and all... but ending my career with this group of girls was so much more❤️ I love you all and thank you for the best two years! So long volleyball 👋🏼

Me trying to dress like I’m going into snow when it’s the other way around. (I did a little Tina jump)

This guy is my best friend. He overcame my initial awkwardness freshman year when we were neighbors in the residence halls, and this week we finished our last term of undergrad together. He's been with me through the worst of it and the best of it. Lucas, i love you, and i hope to be as good a person as you are. Here's to our future adventures!

Fall term ✅ Thank you to everyone who made it memorable 💚

when you try but don't succeed. when you give all you've got and have nothing left. #finalsweekfromhell #finalssuck #mentalhealth #immoreimportant

We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season, enjoy your break Raiders. School resumes on Monday, January 7, 2019, and our regular postings will resume then as well. #sou #southernoregonuniversity #souashland #wintervibes #snowseason #hotcocoa #winterbreak

I didn’t get to photograph my outfit today cause I was non-stop busy with my radio show, office hours, participating on a thesis committee, making four homemade lasagnas (three for my class and one for my family), and teaching the Advanced Virtual Reality night class, so I’ll let my Bitmoji avatar stand in for me tonight. She dresses just like me! Andrew Gay and I finished co-teaching our Advanced Virtual Reality class! I had a great time co-teaching with Bert (Andrew) and our students. Special thanks to Andres Rivero and Brandon Givens for all of your assistance, insight, and expertise.
