Tuesday, oh Tuesday was a doozy. When I think that my workout is going to be lifting based, I think oh we are going to work the upper body... nope! Not with this new program. Many rounds of lifting and moving and lunging and squatting and holy cannoli. When all was said and done my thought was "this isn't so bad." Then I thought to myself, "why does he want us to use recover and stretch after that? I won't be sore..." Ummm, I was wrong! I was so very wrong. By dinner time I was so sore that the stairs looked like a mountain and the toilet was scary to me... I took a very hot bath and tried to relax but man everything hurt, but it was 100% worth every second of pain. Fast forward to today, Day 3 of this amazing boxing program. Now pause... in the past, I would have used the soreness that I had been experiencing as a reason NOT to workout... I would tell myself that I could do it another day, switch up my rest days, or just take a day off. Yes, it's true, one can switch up rest days and listening to your body is a MUST! Since I knew I was good, just sore, and because I have an amazing accountability partner, I decided no excuses and pressed play. Today's boxing experience was more than what was taught on Monday due to the workouts progressing. I did it. I was sore but I held my form and completed the program burning even more calories than before. Now if only I could actually consume the water I need to so that I can ensure my body is hydrated... (this will also help with the muscle soreness). After a long bath soak with salts, I decided I should probably get in here and get this posted. One thing I heard today stuck with me though and that is another reason why I pushed play... When you kind of sort of do a program. When you kind of sort of follow nutrition. You're gonna get kind of sort of results. 10 Rounds workout - Day 3 - Boxing 2 - Speed & Hooks (3โ€™s & 4โ€™s) This workout is incredible, I burned 526 calories within the 40 minutes of this routine. I did better with the rotation of the hips. I still need to improve on my timing. I was getting so tired by the end of this workout that I noticed my shoulders wanted to drop a bit; however, I wouldnโ€™t let them and got back into the correct and proper form. This workout had a lot of various combination punches in it. Joel does a very good job at breaking it all down while in motion. Itโ€™s why I feel comfortable with his process in the workout. Day 67 with Body Beast is the workout Bulk: Back. This workout utilizes progressive and doing a bunch of sets building those muscles. Back is one of the muscle groups that I need to work on. One thing for me that made it tough is that Sagi saves the Deadlifts for the second to last set, as my back is already fatigued before taking on the heaviest set of the day. One of my goals is being able to do multiple pull ups with being assisted.

So, I kicked my own tonight... #10rounds makes my butt hurt, in a very literal sense! But, oh my! Itโ€™s a hurt so good. Sitting hurts, standing hurts, walking hurts, getting in/out of my truck hurts. No, Iโ€™m not complaining! Iโ€™m THANKFUL for the pain, because it means Iโ€™m challenging myself and itโ€™s WORKING! Without progress, we stagnate. For that reason, I bumped my weights up a little more with the 2nd to last Lift Lower Body of my 2nd round of 10 Rounds ๐ŸฅŠ. I also went with heavier resistance loops for all of the burnouts. If you donโ€™t get sweaty when youโ€™re lifting, youโ€™re not lifting heavy enough! With less than 2 weeks left of this round, Iโ€™ve gotta ask... who wants to join me for my 3rd round?? Letโ€™s cheer each other on as we box our way through 6 weeks of a fun, challenging workout! Hey Ya'll, does anyone have a favorite drink that they just can't have?๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ . So contrary to what my smart** comments & funny posts might sometimes imply, I love a good glass of wine but really only drink maybe 2 or 3 glasses a week. But my all time FAV drink forever has been a good ol' Margarita. There is nothing better than going out with the gals and having chips, dip and a๐Ÿน. Unfortunately two things have kept me from my fav drink for quite some time. 1. The syrup in them makes me sick now. 2. Tequila is NOT my friend. Or I should say I don't like who I am with even a little tequila. Soooo I found this and I had to share, in case there is anyone else out there that may have the same issue. Wow. The changes Iโ€™ve made the passed few months. Iโ€™m not sure if I hardly recognize myself anymore or if Iโ€™m finally starting to recognize myself again. The weight loss, the physical changes, feeling powerful and capable in my body, those things are amazing. But if I could take a picture of how I feel inside! My mind is so much clearer. I can focus on a task and see it through. I feel prepared to deal with what my days bring. I can honestly say I feel happy, that wasnโ€™t the case four months ago. My kids get a Mom who is less worried about keeping things perfect trying to do everything at once resulting in chaos. My husband gets a wife who is actually enjoyable to be around. 10 ROUNDS ๐ŸฅŠ Today I FINALLY finished a 6 week Beachbody program & man was it a good one! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Things I gained from this program: 1.) Boxing is no effin joke & is a complete total body workout. ๐ŸฅŠ Core is used to throw every punch, combos can be confusing, pivots light your legs up & burnouts are freaking hard! ๐Ÿ˜“ But you will feel like a BADASS when you โ€œgetโ€ it! 2.) Consistency is everything! As we all know, times have been weird lately & I had so many days that I โ€œjust wasnโ€™t feeling itโ€ but the days I pushed through & got it done showed me just how important my morning routine really is for me. 3.) GOALS! Set measurable & achievable goals. I attempted to do 2 programs at once & while I was getting amazing workouts in the mental aspect of it was more straining than I ever would have imagined! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I will write my goals, take my measurements/pictures & track it all in my journal. ๐Ÿ“” 4.) I am getting stronger ๐Ÿ’ช Ha! I have increased my weight significantly during this program but thatโ€™s not the strength Iโ€™m talking about. Well this morning my horseshoer was out to trim all the horses and it really sucked all the energy out of me. We had to walk out back in the mud to get the horses brought up front and walking through crazy amounts of mud is very tiring. Then getting all of them trimmed and the last one throwing some major fits really made my tired. I didn't get very much sleep the night before because I couldn't sleep. Then I'm about asleep and the alarm clock the kids were playing with earlier in the day goes off. I woke up 2 times to use the bathroom (baby was on my bladder) and up early to get the horses ready. I was ready for a nap and rest. I wasn't going to workout I was going to rest but after lunch and relaxing on the couch I felt a lot better. So I decided to push play and I felt even better and had great energy afterwards. I'm glad I decide to workout because I like lifting and it was different moves! It was super fun and it really worked my muscles! Yes my #keto diet had some to do with this, but I have put in my time with LIIFT4 and 10 Rounds. Extremely happy with the results. I have a goal of 180lbs or less by July 22nd when I turn 40. For my 30th birthday I finished my 10th program. I have gained nothing short of energy, endurance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Most importantly through working out I have gained an appreciation for my body and a confidence in my body. I have also gained an understanding and appreciation for my mental health. I know itโ€™s late but I squeezed in Day 1 of Week 3 today. After double workouts the last two days I was quite sore last night. Feeling better today and didnโ€™t want to be off on my schedule so managed to make it through another workout. . I must admit I was only at 50% today and was hot and a little sweaty but during the last 4 minutes I was drenched and exhausted. . Another awesome boxing workout ๐ŸฅŠ and super proud of myself for getting it done.

Finished my second workout of 10 rounds! Today was leg day. What I like so far about this program (being that itโ€™s only day 2) is that itโ€™s 5 days a week instead of 7, two for lifting and 3 for boxing! I like variety to keep me going and I forgot how much I love lifting! I took yesterday off because I was super sore from not working out in forever and didnโ€™t fall off track since you can pick any 5 days you want to do these workouts as long as you follow the order! Ok this is real life! Iโ€™m human I donโ€™t wake up every day on the top of my game and want to eat healthy or workout! My face did NOT have this expression on it before I started my workout. I dreaded doing it especially since I held it off until 7:45pm. I had a very long day making sure that Hunterโ€™s #quarantine birthday lived up to his past birthdays - from his giant smile all day long, I can tell he had a wonderful day. #phew I could have used so many excuses today to not get my workout done, but I also know that not doing it would make me feel worse. 10 Rounds Results + A Little Dose of Reality I finally got around to taking my progress pics from the #10roundsprogram that I recently completed. As I mentioned in my previous post, after completing the program I felt: . โœจSTRONGER โœจENERGIZED โœจCHALLENGED โœจCONFIDENT! . If I said I was 100% impressed with my results, Iโ€™d be lying. I expected a bit more, particularly in my core. BUT...I also know that {and hereโ€™s the little nugget of truth} I didnโ€™t give my A-Game in the nutrition department. I pushed hard and gave it my all during my workouts, but abs are built in the kitchen (thanks @amoila_cesar), not just the gym. I snacked...a lot {chips & dip is a weakness}. I had a few beverages...too frequently. . Now donโ€™t get me wrong. Iโ€™m not using this to beat myself up. Despite some poor nutritional choices, Iโ€™m still down 3.5โ€ and 3.8 lbs in 6 weeks...and I FEEL GREAT!! . Iโ€™m not perfect, but I am motivated and determined to get myself back on track {we all need a little reset sometimes}. I know that I have a toolkit #portionfixcontainers to help me daily and a #fittribe to support me when I need them. I may momentarily feel a little down on myself, but I am still feeling: stronger, energized, challenged, and confident...and now, a little more focused. EAT THE COOKIE ๐Ÿช โ € Now that I have your attention, friends, Iโ€™m here to say... DONโ€™T PUNISH YOURSELF for eating the cookie, or skipping the workout, or whatever it is you feel like you need punishment for. โ € Backstory: Shane had a friend over the other day that generously brought over a thing of 15 cookies๐Ÿ˜ญ And let me tell you...they are ooey gooey deliciousness. So like...what am I supposed to do!? I am going to enjoy a cookie!! โ € Iโ€™m not saying to indulge every day. Iโ€™m not saying to skip all the workouts. โ € Iโ€™m saying itโ€™s all about BALANCE. โ € Itโ€™s about feeding your body and soul what it needs. โ € If you want the cookie, eat the cookie. But maybe just eat 1 not 5 (like I so, so wanted to). โ € If your body is feeling tired, give it grace. Take a rest day. Little bit of an emotional morning for me. I completed week 4 of my 6 week boxing program today & got all up in my feelings ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ this is the longest Iโ€™ve actually stuck with something & Iโ€™m feeling great. Rolling out of bed at 6am each morning might be a bit of a struggle but I know if I donโ€™t do my workout first thing when I wake up, Iโ€™ll put it off all day & wonโ€™t feel like it later. After a workout, I feel incredible (& sore๐Ÿ˜ฌ). Iโ€™m so excited to keep pushing with this program. Itโ€™s gotten me out of my comfort zone (never boxed before) & Iโ€™m loving it more than I thought I would. Canโ€™t wait to see how these next 2 weeks go. You ready to do this with me?
