💥Super excited to share this💥 I have lost 2.8 lbs since December 29 and 6.8 inches!! My nutrition could be better ( not going to lie - I suck between 3pm and 6pm every day) but my choices are getting easier to make. Avoiding drivethrus is my biggest challenge. I have active boys so we eat on the run a lot. I’ve had back pain for a while now...it comes and goes in worse patches. I recently started running, and then 2 running days in a row shot me down for 4 days. Here I am showing up after 4 days off. I want to workout every day like what @msrachelhollis says to do.💪🏼 The days of rest felt really good, but eventually I was getting worried I would get used to it and not ever come back. I was missing something! Is this now an excuse or still a reason? Sometimes, the battle is just to show up. I kept asking my hubby, what should I do?? Today he said, go gentle and no weights. Just try it. So that’s what I did - no weights except for 5 pounds for my triceps with my HIIT routine. And 30 stationary squats instead of the jump squats. Only 3 rounds, but it felt good to raise my heart rate and ultimately show up again for myself.❤️ It’s important to rest when you need to, but also to test the waters gently to see if you are ready to come back or if you need more time.🙌🏼 I’m a little nervous for when I start running again too...The path to recovery is slow. Be gentle and give yourself grace for showing up. Don’t ever give up🙏🏼

Saturday vibes as we try to #konmari our home, but then stop to do a puzzle with the kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Got one section organized, one trash bag filled to donate, kids playroom somewhat organized and one puzzle completed. There was a time when I'd get anxiety about going out to dinner.⁣ ⁣ I had goals that I was working toward, and I was determined to reach them. I was hitting the gym for a couple hours a day, sometimes twice. I was meticulously tracking what I was eating, down to the gram. I was doing all of the things that I was supposed to do.⁣ ⁣ That is until someone would ask me to grab lunch or dinner. Then the anxiety would creep in. I'd have an entire conversation with myself. ⁣ ⁣ "I'm a homebody, and I NEVER do anything." "I should totally go.. I NEED to go." "But.. what would I eat?" "I can't reach my goals if I go get whatever the restaurant is serving." "This would set me so far behind.. I've been doing so good."⁣ ⁣ And that's when I'd break the news to my friend, "No, sorry.. I can't make it!"⁣ ⁣ Just like that, life passed me by.⁣ ⁣ I wanted so deeply to go out and enjoy myself. I desired so deeply to create friendships and have connection. I loathed to be accepted and create a life of adventure.⁣ ⁣ But I'd say no every. single. time. it knocked on my door.⁣ ⁣ Because I didn't feel like I was worthy AS IS. I didn't feel like I was enough AS IS. I didn't feel like I was capable AS IS. ⁣ ⁣ Looking back, I was dealing with deeper issues than simply chasing a goal, or chasing a physique. I was living in a false reality, in a story that I made up.⁣ ⁣ I know I'm not alone. I know you struggle too. We are more than the lies we tell ourselves. ⁣ ⁣ You are worthy NOW.⁣ You are enough NOW.⁣ You are capable NOW. at Bloomington–Normal

How are we already halfway through January?? Did you do a New Years resolution, and find that it’s already fizzling out? Old habits are hard to break. Try creating a list of small changes to implement every day. Replace your bad habits with a new habit that provides a healthier behaviour. For me, my new habits will be these 5 to thrive #rachelhollis 1. Drinking my body weight in ounces of water 2. Cutting out a category of food I shouldn’t be eating for 30 days 3. Working out/staying active for at least 30min/day 4. Getting up an hour earlier, and using that time for myself 5. Starting a gratitude journal, 10 things I’m grateful for each day It takes 21 days to create a habit, 90 days to change your life. What are you doing for you this year?

#Workout is done, #Roomba is running, #Laundry is going, I finished my #StartTodayJournal, I am showered and ready for the day, I already went #GroceryShopping and the #Dishes are in the #Dishwasher! . . And I still have an hour to go!! . . I love #Daycare days and my 4 uninterrupted hours! . . As a #SAHM, finding a block of time to accomplish anything can be hard. . . When we decided I would stay home, my husband and I said we wanted to keep the boys in daycare, at least one day a week. . . We did this for 2 reasons: . . 1️⃣: Social Interaction 2️⃣: My Sanity . . Happy to report... I’ve finally gotten the scale to move, for the first time in 7 years! I’ve lost 9-1/2 lbs since January 1st & Ryan has lost 3-1/2 lbs! Day 2 done!!!! I started this journey almost a year ago I have never felt so alive as I do right now with this program. Afternoon vibes 🙌🏻💗 It’s been nice to get things done around the house today, while listening to @michelleobama read “Becoming” on @audible Friday was very bittersweet and emotional, but I am sticking to a schedule until I start my student teaching. Thank goodness for my @doterra blends to diffuse throughout the day (currently diffusing Citrus bliss, Spearmint, and On Guard).
