I love a good combo meal. Chicken curry, chips, mini turkey sliders and tacos. 🙌 All for 526 cals and 37g of protein You wouldn't get much for those cals in a takeaway and I was stuffed after this! A leftovers fakeaway: left over mince for the tacos and left over roast chicken for chicken curry. -Made the McDonnells curry sauce in 2 or 3 minutes and simply heated up the chicken in it. -Heated up the mince in the microwave, then topped with 10g of mozzarella and put it into the over for 5mins. -Cooked the chips in the air fryer (Seasoned with Swartz chips seasoning) - Moulded a turkey burger into four mini sliders and toasted half a slimbo on the George Foreman. All ready in about 15 minutes. 9 good food days & living by the 80/20 rule so we got a meal deal from Jacks / @tescofood as Dom goes back to work this week & we will be working opposites to each other like before he was furloughed. Thoroughly enjoyed a treat night consisting of pizza, dough balls & fudge cake 🐷 I've counted it all in my calories for today (I always do even when I eat badly) & it says I'm still in a deficit but the fat, carbs etc will be alot more than usual!! ✨ ORANGE & WALNUT FRENCH TOAST 🍊🥞 — 👩🏻‍🍳 ᴛʜᴇ ʏᴜᴍ ʀᴇᴄɪᴘᴇ: - 1 bread slice - 1 egg - Zest of 1 orange - 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon ᴛʜᴇ sᴀᴜᴄᴇ: - 1 tbsp maple syrup - 2 tbsp orange juice - 1/2 tsp cornstarch - 2 walnuts chopped In a bowl whisk the egg, zest and cinnamon, dip the bread slice in it, pinch it with a fork to make it absorb better, coat well, rest for 2 minutes for the bread to absorb. Toen op pad naar de Lutte om te wandelen en daarna naar Springendal...(echt een aanrader) en toen vond ik in zijn auto een hele zak DROP🙊😋 ja toen maakte ik niet echt een gezonde keus maar lekker was t wel 😉 (de zak is niet leeg gegaan maar t ging wel hard😂) Na het wandelen koffie met een krakeling...mmmm....dus vandaag een 80/20 dagje, moet kunnen. You will also lose glycogen and water and muscle too. This isn't always beneficial as you want to retain as much muscle as possible, especially when trying to develop a body we feel our best in. ⁠⠀⁣ ⁠⠀⁣ However, you can't determine what the body chooses to use as a fuel source and therefore, unwillingly, while losing weight you'll lose some muscle. You can avoid this though.⁠⠀⁣ ⁠⠀⁣ By eating enough protein and training to stimulate muscle growth you are priming the body not to use its muscle as a fuel source and instead just the other components, namely body fat. ⁠⠀⁣ ⁠⠀⁣ You can see the difference between this in the pictures. On the left the person has lost weight and lets say started at 100kg and 30% body fat and finished at 80kg and 15%BF. Whereas the right picture started at 100kg/30% and finished at 80kg/10%BF. Both show the same weight loss but one has lost more fat and retained more muscle. ⁠⠀⁣ ⁠⠀⁣ This is why protein and strength training is prioritised while losing weight, in order to make sure that you look, feel and perform at your best when you get to your goal weight. Save this post as a reminder to keep your shoulder joints safe while taking your pecs to the next level.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I suggested using the movements on the left first in the image because they are more skill related but you don't have to do this 100% of the time. If you are a very experienced lifter and are mindful of the weight you choose you can start with movements on the right. You better have the ability to retract your shoulder blades well and check your ego before moving to a bench.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ok so assuming we all know how to do bench and push ups properly with our shoulders back and down, chest up, and squeezing your shoulder blades together for a lot of muscle fiber recruitment let's focus on the right.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is where you can take your chest training to the next level. When doing machine fly's turn your thumbs upward as shoulder blades come together to fully stretch the pec as the image suggests.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When working with cables you can turn your thumbs up if you want on presses and fly's. With both of these you can also rotate to a neutral grip position while touching your thumbs together and flaring your lats for a full contraction as you bring your hands together. It is redundant to do this in a fly machine because the resistance curve minimizes the loading here.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can apply these methods to all your chest training if you consider the resistance applied on the muscles. Shame, that thing that none of us want to talk about - but many of us feel. Because, heck, we’re human. Shame that we aren’t doing enough, Shame that we’re doing too much, Shame for taking up too much space, Shame for not taking up enough space and sticking up for ourselves...⁠ ⁠ Note an important difference: ⁠ -Guilt is something we feel badly about because we’ve made a mistake and want to do something differently next time (e.g. I did a bad thing)⁠ -Shame is when that mistake becomes something that attacks our character (e.g. I did a bad thing, therefore I am a bad person).⁠ ⁠ The thing is, shame lingers in the background and starts to eat at our very essence. Its voice sounds like, “You are not good enough. You aren’t capable. You should just give up. You don’t matter”.⁠ ⁠ When not addressed, Shame takes over and might explain why you feel stagnant, stuck, unable to accomplish goals, and just plain deflated.⁠ ⁠ Take a deep breath and hear this: the antidote to Shame is SELF-COMPASSION.⁠ ⁠ You are human and deserve self-grace for not being perfect. Stores like Trader Joes, Walmart, Aldi, Grocery Outlet, Kroger, H-E-B, Winco are great stores.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are trying to save some cash and still want to grocery shop for healthier foods, you can do it. I do it, and you can too.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These stores have plenty of healthy foods for quite a bit cheaper than health food stores like Whole Foods, for example.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also, you can look up the weekly ad (this is great when you are looking for deals) of each grocery store on their website.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Take a few minutes out of your day to find out which store is going to have some sales going on, and go to that store.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Go with a plan. #equalution week 3 meals have been AMAZING ⁣ ⁣ Breakfast: chocolate protein oats with frozen berries and large baileys macchiato ⁣ ⁣ Snacks: corn thins with peanut butter and banana - omg if you haven’t had corn thins please go and give them a try they are 1000 times better than rice cakes!! ⁣ ⁣ Lunch: ham and pineapple tortilla pizza - my fav 🍕 ⁣ ⁣ snacks: crudités and dip ⁣ ⁣ Dinner: taco boats with all the toppings 🌮 ⁣ ⁣ Pudding: small chocolate bar 🍫
