Back again with our Motivating Members!!! 😍💪💜 These 2 lovely ladies are 2 of our newer members, Brooke on the left and Chloe in the middle.
They are two wonderful examples, teaching us not to let nerves or hesitation get the better of you and your fitness goals!! Both came in unsure of what to do, with little direction and needing each other to lean on to get through. 💪💪 Now they train together muptiple times a week, use each other's programs to mix things up and get a good sweat on each time they come in!

In the last 30 years we have been through the ups and downs of food "fads" and fast diets and new information about what is and isn't good for you. IT SHOULD BE SIMPLE!! Starvation never made anyone skinny.
Carbs never made anyone fat.
Keto diets are no better than proper nutrition for fat loss.
Eating superfoods doesn't automatically improve wellbeing.
You dont' 'need' to detox to be healthy.
Sweeteners don't give you diabetes instantly.
The Lesson? Eat whole food, maintain a balanced diet, don't restrict a crazy amount of calories, and DON'T stereotype foods into 'good' and 'bad'. Let yourself have a treat every now and then. AND THE WINNER IS (drum roll)
Tash participated in the Halloween 🎃 deadlifting competition last week for the first time! Not only was it her first entry into the competition, but it was her FIRST EVER time attempting a conventional deadlift!! .
Tash has a few spinal issues that make deadlifting and squatting difficult and sometimes painful. But on this particular spooktacualr evening she gave it a go and loved it!! .
What a champ, deadlifted 14 reps in a row of 70% Body Weight. .
Off to bigger and brighter things now! .

Sharon's Story 💜💪 Sharon has just finished participating in the 8 week AF Challenge and has been one of the most dedicated people we have seen come through the door.
Here is her Story, in her own words to the Anytime Fitness Community:
I am extremely grateful for joining the challenge, as I was at my lowest point after a very hard 12 months of no work, serious stress and putting my membership on hold.
My pledge was to become a better version of myself and I feel like I have accomplished this and MORE!
Through the exciting, healthy and easy menu plans, I was looking forward to what meals I would be creating and eating.
I was enjoying cooking and eating at home again!! 🍎🥦🥑 I really began to feel amazing and stronger in myself, less stressed, more confident and my overall outlook on life began to improve! The exercise, and visiting the gym really became MY time for MY self care!!! 💜💜 I even managed to give the gym's Monthly challenge in September a go, and won it!
I now enjoy getting out and about more, bush walking and I have more energy for fun and eating healthy foods. I have come out of this with more confidence, and I am sure that my clearer outlook on life will continue to help my work improve! - Sharon Mitchell

My 4 main cues are:
1. Keep soft knees, this makes it easier to hold your form and keep your posture neutral
2. HINGE HINGE HINGE!! You want all the movement from your hips as you come over the KB and swing.
3. This is not an arm exercise, use the momentum to push the weight to eye level.
4. Keep your spine neutral! POSTURE IS KEY 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Big Smiles for Stephanie!!! 💪🏼😊💜
Stephanie has been a member with us for a few years now.
She fell off track for a couple of months during winter and was hesitant to step back in the gym, yet here she is making time during the week in her 1 hour lunch break to continue her fitness journey 😍👍🏼
Stephanie trains 3-4 times a week, and she walks from work in Springwood each day.
Her current goal is weight loss and general health and has been working with our PT Broke to achieve those goals!! .
“My favourite exercise is Kettlebell Squats, but I am not very good at them yet.” Stephanie’s goal for the rest of the year it to be able to leg press her own body weight and do a proper push up! 💜💪🏼
