CLASSIFY YOUR WORRIES | Being able to classify your worries puts you in control to know how best to manage them. ⚡ Practical worries – these are current problems which we CAN do something about. E.g ”I need to make sure I have enough money for my bills this month”, “I have to meet my deadline” or “I can’t keep the place clean and tidy”. For all of these worries there is a PRACTICAL SOLUTION ⚡ Hypothetical worries – these tend to be worries about future uncertainties that we have little control over. Often they start with “what if…” and can easily catastrophise into the worst-case scenario which may have a small likelihood of happening. E.g “what if my train is late today… what if I’m late for work… what if I get fired… what if I can't get another job.. I watched inside out yesterday. It was a lively film which showed how we really need some sadness in our lives. Being sad and open about the negative feelings is a way of showing others maybe you need help and support or just someone to listen. The balance is important. If you push the sadness down and always try to be happy eventually you may become exhausted. It's tiring. Being sad just for a bit will make you appreciate things. Some sadness cam act as a motivator that something needs to change in your life. So I can safely say that Saturday was AMAZING. Thank you to everyone who came and supported me, it was a very emotional day given the circumstances. I've had the pleasure of meeting some truly amazing people through this. I've decided I am going to carry on competing but I'm quite happy staying local and unfortunately I'm not going to finals so my competing season is over this year. My goal was just to make it to the stage and I wasn't expecting to be placed in top 3. A competition is extremely stressful for a newbie and I've come such a long way over the last few years to rebound now and go back to panic attacks, so I need another year to mentally prepare myself. Happy Monday!! I am loving these light mornings!! We got up at 5am to watch the final episode of GOT 😮😮 It's going to be a super busy day working on a couple of bulk orders and testing some gorgeous new scents 😍 I have to admit when I took the plunge and started this business that I had doubts in myself. But if we don't try something new how will we ever know? I'd rather try and "fail" than never know if I could do it. And after some big successes yesterday including welcoming a brand rep, taking my biggest order to date and wholesale enquiries I know I'm on the right path! This weekend I’ve been raw and honest with those close to me. Saying things like I’m scared about my future. I’ve started over so many times ,poured myself into others that I looked up and realized I need to rebuild again. Talking about my healing from my break up last November and allowing my raw wounds to air out a bit. Expressing my fears about love and dating at my age Little by little I’m dipping my toes into the dating pool (very very cautious and slow lol) I was the vulnerability queen. Brene Brown would be proud . . . I’ve been through a lot of heavy shit and I’m still standing. Sometimes I’m barely standing. . . . Each time I go through something I think I’m not going to survive this ,the heart ache is too much. . . . Then I get it together and remind myself I’m a god damn warrior. Yes I’m going to survive this shit. I don’t know how but I will. . . . Mental illness or not life is messy and complicated. At times it can feel like everything is falling apart around you. Then little by little the pieces start to get put back together and you start healing. Each day you get stronger and then some days you aren’t. . . . I promise if you’re going through some heavy shit right now , you will make through. Be patient with yourself. Rest. Hydrate. Read. Netflix. Take care of you. We make little decisions every day that add up and direct the course of our lives. And then every once in a while, we make a really big decision that has the potential to change everything. 2 and a half years ago when I was applying for grad school I had no idea if this was the right path or where it would lead. I just knew in my soul that it was something God wanted me to do. ... I wish I could have seen then where I’m at now. The last two years changed almost everything about my life— from how I think about and see the world to how I understand my own story and purpose that has come out of things I’ve been through. It has changed where I live and work and shed light on my career path (which is definitely still a work in progress). ... In the last two years I have met and become close to some of the most inspiring, beautiful, authentic and loving people. I’ve learned that friendship can go so much deeper than I ever knew. I have a renewed hope in how much good there is in the world because of my coworkers, classmates and friends. ... Needless to say, that decision to go to grad school is the best one I’ve ever made. And here it goes: for the past 20 plus years (because babies and toddlers don’t give a shit what anyone thinks...hmmm we should all be more like them)....I have been overly cautious....for the sake of being liked and for the sake of everyone but me. For as long as I can remember I was bullied. Little memories pop in my head every now and then....things that I held on to for YEARs that molded me into a people pleasing and self loathing adult looking to attain perfection in all that I did. Fast forward and I’ve now been in therapy for about a year....best decision I’ve ever made. Learning to love myself....learning that it’s okay not to be perfect....and like a toddler, learning not to give a shit what anyone thinks......learning to let go of toxic relationships while embracing those who not only empower me but also those who are lost in a world of anxiety like I once was. This is me... raw, vulnerable, no make up. Fresh out of the shower, fresh face, REAL. You see it all the time in my stories, but to plaster it on my wall for all to see is challenging! We often look at peoples’ social media and see their highlight reel. We don’t see what they truly look like without their hair done or make up on. We don’t see them without filters. I think it’s so important that we realize that social media is often a highlight reel. Comparison happens when we see somebody at their best and we look or feel at our worst. Social media can be a blessing and a curse. What if we don’t compare? What if we be truly authentic, and love ourselves anyway? If you want somebody to truly see you, you have to be completely and utterly yourself. Who cares what society thinks is beautiful, you being yourself is where the beauty lies. I challenge you to look at yourself in the mirror with no make up, hair undone, and see the real beauty that’s inside of you. Family...where life begins & love never ends💗 What an amazing whirlwind weekend of soccer, 3 bday parties, family gatherings, culminating with Rae’s christening! . . . . . Just a few short years ago, seeing all of this on the calendar would’ve pushed me over the edge. When we had weekends like this, I remember feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stressed, instead of soaking in all the joy with my family. I can see myself chest tight, tears in my eyes, short on patience, wanting to be in the moment, but thinking about all of the things that needed to be done, so behind, laundry, lunches, assessment scoring, lesson plans, dreading Monday & going back to seeing my family for about 2 hours a day. But now? Now I get all the time I want with them. Sure it’s crazy chaos but I just adore being there to get my girls off the bus and hear about their day. I’m grateful I get to play mom taxi for all the activities, practices, & games during the week that I would have missed while teaching. That in the morning I have time to make them breakfast, read stories, & play instead of frantically running from room to room to get everyone out the door by 6:45am. Thank goodness I didn’t let fear along with my busy life of teaching full time & mom life, stand in my way of saying yes to this coaching thing. 9 months after Baby 1 vs. 6 months after Baby 2. I pumped exclusively after Baby 1 because my son was born premature and too small to latch. I thought the weight would just disappear because I was nursing. That didn’t happen. I was the biggest I’d ever been in my life by the time he was 9 months old. This time I was prepared with a clean eating plan and a new found knowledge of providing my body with the nutrition I needed. I have more energy than ever and I’m back to working out. Mama - I get it. You have goals. You want to be sexy as hell for summer. You want to strut that body on the beach with some mega confidence. I.GET.IT! But can I give you a little advice? PLEASE, oh PLEASE do not kill yourself over it. I see some of you talking about being at the gym for hours. Or doing multiple workouts a day. Or restricting your calories. Or doing juice-only diets. Or taking some (gasp) fat burning pills. Will those things get you quick results? Maybe! But why do something you can't maintain? Why do something that you can't keep up? Why do something that makes you feel like an angry bitch because you are only eating celery? And most importantly, is it SAFE for your body? Because if it isn't sustainable, what is the point of doing it for 2-3-4 weeks only to go back to your old ways and gain all of it back!?!?!?!? Talk about frustrating, right?? So instead of killing yourself over what you are doing, maybe change it up a little bit. If you feel like your one workout isn't enough, then maybe you need to switch up that ONE workout so it is more effective. And man oh man, restricting calories is NOT the answer. In fact, if you don't eat enough, your body is going to hold on to what you do eat because it isn't sure when you are going to feed it again. And yup, you might actually gain weight from that. #starvationmodesucksanyway Of course this is just me - and my personal unsolicited advice - but guys, I've been there, done that. I'm saying this from experience. The results might be slower, but you will KEEP them. And you will be MUCH happier. And isn't that the goal anyway?

🙏🏻Feeling an extra gush of thankfulness tonight! I sat down earlier, scheduled my week, and decided to do one of the longer workouts today to help me out on a busier day later this week. Had to coach myself through it. Pressed pause countless times, REALLY considered quitting 3 times. . . ✋🏼But then it happened. I just started talking to myself out loud for encouragement. (I never would have done that a year ago.) Who, me? I can get myself through this? I don’t need to hear the trainer or some motivational song? Nope. 🙅🏻‍♀️ ..And actually, that voice was focused, confident, fierce. More of a roar to be honest. 👊🏼 And granted- it may not be like that all the time. It may need gentle encouragement or some days tough love.. But MAN when that voice- MY voice- comes through in an unexpected moment, i can’t help but feel insanely thankful that i took a leap of faith and said yes to this journey. . . 👉🏼Keep showing up for yourself. You’ll be amazed at where it can take you. I once had someone tell me they were surprised I didn’t like lipstick because I always have my hair done, seem girly and put together... 🙃 . This is me y’all, a tired but determined mama just pushing for my dreams daily. When I’m not in scrubs it’s either my husband’s sweats (even in the summer heat) or workout clothes. . My hair survives on dry shampoo and usually goes about 2 weeks without being washed. Sometimes I’m so exhausted I go to bed smelling like hospital or sweat (hubby gets a kick out of that). 😂 . I workout every morning and usually put my faith in deodorant 🤫...relax, most of the time I’m headed to the hospital where it has its own unique smell anyways (and I’m not much of a sweater). 🤷🏻‍♀️ . You’ll find I wear the makeup basics usually just to make me look somewhat put together and to cover my adult acne🤦🏻‍♀️ (yes, even at almost 30 that’s my life). . This journey has taught me to be ME and live my life unapologetically- as long as you’re true to you and working towards your dreams every day, you do you boo 😘

Completed a triathlon today, how about you? . 🏊🏻‍♀️Let me just tell you that I had zero formal training for this event, but decided to go for it anyway. And I am so glad that I did. What an experience! . 🚴🏻‍♀️I have never considered myself an athlete, but I sure felt like one today. I had the endurance to not only keep up, but exceed my expectations for much of the race. All made possible because of my workouts. . 🏃🏻‍♀️Maybe your goal isn’t to complete or take part in a triathlon. It wasn’t one of mine either! "Depression is just an excuse, anxiety isn't real. " Anxiety is REAL. Depression is NOT an excuse. I know this first hand✋. The last few days I've been hiding in my corner under the blankets with Agnes. I dont know what triggered it, but here's what happened.. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ •woke up Friday afternoon (post night shift nap) flooded with overwhelming fear something bad was going to happen •Friday evening, still feeling rattled, but attempted to go for a bike ride to shake it off🚴‍♀️ •made it a mile from home, fear took over, and I pedalled faster that I ever had to make it home •dropped my bike in the yard (seriously) and went to my corner. SATURDAY: •Woke up at noon, feeling "hungover", went to spend day with my mom (she has the same issues) •spent a few hours with my mom, again, feeling like I'm going drop dead, becoming short of breath, I loaded up my little and headed home...to my corner. •Stayed in corner and cuddled Agnes, my cat. SUNDAY: •I GOT UP, WENT IN PUBLIC with my family. Still feeling nauseous and beaten, but I did it. I may have missed a few days of my work out program, but IT'S ALL GOOD. Today is a new day, I'm starting to feel better. I still don't know what triggered it, but I am very THANKFUL that it didn't happen at work. (I've had panic attacks at work, and I'm very embarrassed by it, but my AMAZING co-workers help me so much and don't judge.) Today I'm taking it easy. Reading and breathing is all I'm focusing on, because I am going to SLAY Monday and make it mine! Just remember: you are NOT alone, what you are feeling IS real, YOU ARE LOVED!❤️ at Michigan

It is also so easy to want to compare yourself to other people. I am so guilty of this. When I decided to do this refresh, it was for me and only me. I recently developed food allergies that make it difficult for me to eat breads and pastries. I’m not a huge bread eater, but sometimes I’m craving something bread like. 🍞 ⁣ ⁣ I am however a huge fan of blueberry muffins!! So today I made some gluten free, dairy free and food allergy free blueberry muffins using cassava flour and I added some greens to make it even healthier and you totally can’t taste them! 🥬 The muffins turned out delicious!!! 🤤 ⁣ ⁣ I am now making it a goal to make one new thing a week!! ⁣ ⁣ Next on my list is to make healthy pancakes with buckwheat flour. 🥞
