I want to instill a strong positive body image to my girls! I want them to know you don’t have to be a certain number to be healthy, fit, and strong! It is about getting a sufficient amount of exercise and having healthy eating habits. It is about loving the shape that God have them, and not striving to be a certain number on the scale. It is about having love and respect for every body, size, and shape. These are the important lessons I want my girls to realize in a society that puts so much pressure, specifically on women, to be a certain number. I hope I can give my girls the knowledge and the confidence to be happy with their bodies. To want to make them strong and healthy. And to always be mindful with what to fill them with. Keep the wonder alive... As I get older I find it more difficult to dive deep into my imagination like I used to. I didn’t even have to close my eyes, I just built something right there in my minds eye. I would write stories, draw pictures, and put on plays featuring me and my sisters. We were so crazy (still are) and I miss that. I like it when I can go someplace, or listen to a song and immediately be inspired. It’s finding that joy and wonder again. So, my message is this; don’t let life get too busy to be inspired. Don’t be too caught up in reality and forget dreams, but don’t let dreams take over reality. Everything is a delicate balance.

Something you may not know about me is that I had 2 babies right in a row. I was only 7-months postpartum when I became pregnant with my son, Carter. It took me about 8 months to fully recover from my first pregnancy with my oldest daughter Karis, so I was just barely starting to feel like myself again after having Abigail when I got pregnant with our cute boy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Carter had to be delivered by c-section which I will fully admit...kicked me right in the crotch. It was rough on my already frail body at the time. I had recovered from the surgery just fine, but my back was always hurting, I couldn’t comfortably lay on my stomach without pain, I was still swollen all over, and it still felt like I had so many more pounds to go until I was back to the person I was 5 years ago. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m not sure I ever will be, but I decided something needed to change because I want to play with my kids and not feel 80-years-old. I made a new years resolution to try intermittent fasting at least until the end of March. Each day, I stop eating and drinking anything else besides water at 6 PM and don’t start eating the next day until 10 AM. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wanted to break my bad habit of eating sweet snacks each night and see if it would help me de-swell and feel better digestively. So far, my fasting journey has actually been a lot easier than I thought. I’ve found avoiding unhealthy food isn’t the hard part. The hardest part has been being organized and prepared enough to make sure I eat by 6 PM every night and not miss my cut-off. So far I’ve lost 8 pounds, and I can fit my fingers around my wrist again which means the swelling is finally going down! I also have a lot more energy in the day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You’ll be hearing from me when I can finally fit my wedding ring on again. 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If there’s something you’ve been struggling with and you’re trying to make changes, I feel you. This winter has been unmotivating. It has been cloudy, and my house is dark. Finding pockets of light, or any light has been challenging. The outdoors have been so cold and sunset typically happens when I’m running the kids to activities. / My creativity right now is being sucked dry. I have tons of ideas (sessions and graphic design pieces), but motivating myself to do them is a problem. I lost my camera remote, and I haven’t done self portraits in a while. Usually that helps. / I’m a doer. I can’t just sit. If I could Marie Kondo my house right now I would; it seems overwhelming. / I realize my thoughts are all over the place. Maybe that’s part of the problem. What do you do with yourself when you feel this way? When everyday is the same old thing over and over again. How do you get through the mundanity? A dreamy day today. My head is in the clouds and my mind is running free ☁️⛅

9 month check up update: • 30 inches (97th percentile) • 18.95 lbs 🌟 Grey does not trust ANYONE once we step in that room, lol. I mean look how tight he is holding on to the table and staring at the nurse. He keeps an eye on everyone at all times. He did such a good job at his appointment, he didn't even cry when he got his shot (1st time ever). • We did have to get trained on how to use an EpiPen, which I hope we never have to use. All in all, this babe is in perfect health! Praise God for a healthy and thriving little one 💛

I know I’m way over posting here...I’ve got my mommy goggles on and I just have been taking pictures of the closest people to me all day everyday....these aren’t perfect (as none of my pictures are)...I was literally terrified that this little squinker would throw herself off of that chair at any moment...but thankfully she just really wanted to eat her shoes. Can’t believe she’s 8 months today. She’s really been a gift and joy and I so want to slow it all down...she is crawling everywhere, standing on everything, loves chatting it up with her Papi and siblings...still toothless and still trying to get her to sleep through the night consistently...we love her to the 🌙 and back
