If you’ve been in session with me, I’ve likely asked you this: “Who in your life do you trust? Who can you depend on? Who contributes to your wellness? 👬👭 • • With the belief in the depth of healing through psychotherapy, I know that the other 23 hours of your day are spent in relationships with others, working on projects, towards goals, and coping with distressing thoughts and intense emotions.🧠 • • When we are able to ask for help, it can literally save and change lives. Who’s in your circle or network of support? • • Asking for help isn’t easy, especially amongst cultural expectations of independence & self sufficiency , and in environments where vulnerability might be perceived as a weakness. #myths • • We do not grow and evolve in isolation. Our ambassador @gracek299 ✨“Strive everyday to make your heart smile”✨ . My name is Grace. I’m born and raised in Nashville, TN. I have been through the horrible dark journey of not loving myself or my body. Around the age of 12 years old I was in the midst of severe anorexia. I struggled every second of my life. I struggled with the side of me that wanted to be healthy and then the demon who kept me down. I am recovered and am learning how to love myself no matter what. It was a gift to go through what I did because I am now working through abuse in my childhood. I am learning I am not only a survivor of anorexia, but a survivor of a hurt that is so deep. A hurt that I have come out of! I am walking proof that the darkest days can bring you a whole new life. A life that your loving. A life you love. I strive everyday to make my heart smile. I want to help women do the same thing. Your story is beautiful. Your body is beautiful. ✨ . . . . . . . #mentalhealth #endthestigma #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalillness #selfcare #OwnYourStigma #mentalhealthawarness #ambassadorswanted #influencerswanted #brandambassadorwanted #mentalhealthambassador #fashion #ambassadors #fashionambassadors #bekindtoyourmind #allbodiesaregoodbodies #selflove #mentalhealthadvocate #brandambassador #eatingdisorderawarenessweek #bodypositive #bopo #hamont #hamiltonontario #eatingdisorderawareness #eatingdisorderrecovery #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday at Nashville, Tennessee

A very important message from @ownyourstigma today... if you need to speak up, speak up—over and over. It can be defeating to have your needs not met the first time you talk about your mental health. But when you’re heard, and embraced, offered help, and loved just as you are, you’ll realize it was all worth it. ••• “It can be scary for someone to realize they may be dealing with a mental health condition. Many people will try to reach out to family + friends for support or understanding and end up with a negative response. . There are various reasons why people react negatively when their loved ones share their mental health experience with them: 1) lack of information + awareness 2) concern for how the individual will be treated by others 3) unable to relate to the experience . Even though public perception of mental health continues to move in a more positive direction – there are still many people who do not treat mental illnesses with compassion and understanding. . In the spirit of the post I made on #bellletstalkday, I want to use today to do another journey of self-reflection. I've been seeing a lot of posts on my Facebook recently about how one should never be in a relationship with someone if you're still working on yourself. That you should have your own shit figured out and not rely on the other person to help you with your growth. Or at least put the onus on them to get you to a better place. And I have to say, I totally agree with that assessment. For the longest time, I always felt that if I wasn't in a relationship that I was somehow lesser than. That I needed to have a girlfriend to show the world that I had value and was a good person. But I feel like I've gotten to the point that I can't be good for someone if I'm not good or happy with myself. And I have to say, once I took that pressure off of myself to have a significant other, I felt so much better. I felt freer and more easy with myself not having to live up to an unrealistic ideal and expectation. I can have dinner with someone I just met, not feel any sparks or connection and just leave it at that and wish them well. And I'm perfectly fine hanging out with other couples. If I need that contact high of romance, I can just get that from hanging around other people who love each other so much. I am on a very long road of self improvement. And I don't know if I'll get to the end of that road or even if there is an end to the road. But at least now I know that walking that road by myself isn't the worst thing in the world. And if I do meet that significant other, it will be so much better. But in the meantime, I'll be spending my Valentine's Day finishing up season 4 of Outlander, getting a haircut and finally watching #IntheMoodforLove by Wong Kar-Wai. #happyvalentinesday

@jordannanativ has this mantra on repeat: All bodies are good bodies🙏🏻 . We must try be thankful for how our bodies support our life, even if we’re still working on what that means. Even in the tiniest ways, our body does so much for us. When one say that all bodies are good bodies, I understand what is trying to be conveyed. We want to feel that we are all inherently valuable. No body is worth any less than another body, despite what society tells us. . For me, I’m just thankful that my body can still lift and carry my 5 year old, she’s solid muscle that one. . . . . . . . . #mentalhealth #endthestigma #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalillness #selfcare #OwnYourStigma #mentalhealthawarness #ambassadorswanted #influencerswanted #brandambassadorwanted #mentalhealthambassador #fashion #ambassadors #fashionambassadors #bekindtoyourmind #allbodiesaregoodbodies #selflove #mentalhealthadvocate #brandambassador #lifestylebrand #bopo #hamont #hamiltonontario #endthestigmaofmentalhealth #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday at Toronto, Ontario

Assalamu A'laykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu my dear brothers and sisters. . . Allaah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says "INDEED, WITHIN THE HEAVENS AND EARTH ARE SIGNS FOR THE BELIEVERS." [QURAN 45:3] . . Most of us may turn away from having faith in Allah because "it's not rational" or not "logical" but simultaneously we fail to answer that where did this beautifully designed universe come from? . Is it logic to say that the IPhone came from no where, while the Human Body is far more advanced and complex than any existing technology in the world. Not only that but impossible to make anything like the Human or a mosquito. Contemplate on the creation of Allah oh human, for it will increase you only in faith. This is @convenientlyfabulous and she is awesome in so many ways + rocks at spreading self-care awareness. . Self-care needs to happen everyday. I feel like society now likes to brag about how busy, tired, or stressed we are, and I think it’s great that everyone wants to be on top of their hustle; however, this can mentally and physically draining. You can only get so far when you are running on empty. Just as you take vitamins and exercise for your physical health, you need to do things for your mental health. Self-care can be going for a jog to clear your mind, taking time to journal, enjoying a hot cup of tea, or talking with a facial. It doesn’t matter what you do, but you need to remember to take time for yourself to be in the moment. In the long run it’ll help energize you to be more productive💛 . . . . . . #mentalhealth #endthestigma #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalillness #selfcare #OwnYourStigma #mentalhealthawarness #ambassadorswanted #influencerswanted #brandambassadorwanted #mentalhealthambassador #fashion #ambassadors #fashionambassadors #bekindtoyourmind #allbodiesaregoodbodies #selflove #mentalhealthadvocate #brandambassador #lifestylebrand #bodypositive #bopo #hamont #hamiltonontario #burlon t #bipolar #bipolardisorder #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday #selfcare #selflove at Jupiter, Florida

Depression and anxiety sucks even more, but if you’re experiencing either or anything related- I promise you aren’t alone. During a chat with one of my best friends just meow, this imagery came to me: . [Our] depression sucks our joys, like a vacuum, away to places in our minds we've got to intentionally, but gently discover. Depression does this hiding away of our joys against our will and desire. We didn’t ask it to dispose of things dear to us, but it did & does. Depression can be an uninvited guest in our minds, wearing out its welcome the moment it enters the door trying to suck, steal and stow away our joys & senses of happiness. Depression may continue successfully hiding and stealing joys from me, us, but we’re resilient and resourceful; & we know our minds better, deeper and richer than it ever will. We can find, bring back and restore our joys. We can heal and we can grow. We can gently but forcefully pick ourselves up, to discover and rediscover joy. We can keep on. . I’m not a clinician, physician or formally trained in the study of our human psyche. But I’ve had depression (a diagnosis of) for four years now. I know my expressions to be true for at least me. We NEED more moms like @nickilenore who are educated and understand that mental illness and mental health struggles are not a choice. “I’m a mom of two badass kids who have battled mental health do to having chronic illnesses, Lyme disease/co-infections. I feel after watching my daughter struggle with severe depression that lead to suicidal thoughts, both my kids struggling with anxiety, I feel I am obligated to help start that conversation and get the awareness out there. It’s ok to talk about it, it doesn’t define who you are. I truly believe my daughter is here on this earth today because we talked about it & we got her the help she needed. Her depression has lifted and she is now in a much better place mentally after getting that help. So many don’t understand the importance of this subject because they aren’t educated about it, so we need to start that conversation.” . . . . . . . . #mentalhealth #endthestigma #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalillness #selfcare #OwnYourStigma #mentalhealthawarness #ambassadorswanted #influencerswanted #brandambassadorwanted #mentalhealthambassador #fashion #ambassadors #fashionambassadors #bekindtoyourmind #mentalillnessawareness #selflove #mentalhealthadvocate #brandambassador #lymedisease #bodypositive #bopo #hamont #hamiltonontario #lymediseaseawareness #coolmom #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday at San Diego, California

This is @averyjoanhitt rocking our Coffee, Cats & Mental Health crewneck sweater. 🖤 Raising awareness one conversation at a time. . Raising awareness on your own when it comes to mental health + mental illness can make a huge difference. These sweaters start conversations and get people talking. They are not always the fun or enjoyable conversations, but they still need to happen. . It’s almost as if being aware just isn’t enough anymore, we must take action. What a selfie, eh? Did anyone notice I was away? I took as break from social media for a month and decided to come back again. I just can't quit you 🤣 I actually had a rather interesting break. On #bellletstalkday I ended up in emerg at the hospital due to mental health issues. To be blunt, I was not coping well with life whatsoever and I was in an absolutely horrible place. I had a short stay in an acute mental health ward (unit 25 peeps!) to help me sleep and with newly realized anxiety. I am Claudia and I have mental health issues.

We all have good and bad days. No one can be perfectly happy all of the time, that is not human. One day you feel on top of the world, the next you can hardly get out of bed. . For anyone struggling with their mental health/ a mental illness and/or grief, dealing with this pressure to seem happy can be a challenge. Sometimes when we are feeling down, we put on a mask to hide the darkness. We do this because we believe it is easier to fake it than explain to someone what is wrong or we do not want to bother others with our problems. Just know as long as you DO NOT GIVE UP, it is perfectly okay to not be okay. . . . . . . . . #mentalhealth #mentalillness #endthestigma #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalillnessawareness #selfcare #OwnYourStigma #mentalhealthawarness #ambassadorswanted #influencerswanted #brandambassadorwanted #mentalhealthambassador #fashion #ambassadors #fashionambassadors #bekindtoyourmind #allbodiesaregoodbodies #selflove #mentalhealthadvocate #brandambassador #eatingdisorderawarenessweek #bodypositive #bopo #hamont #hamiltonontario #burlont #eatingdisorderawareness #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday at Hamilton, Ontario

So today's #timetotalk day was supposed to be a new giveaway! So watch out for a post soon, to win this bag, the Mental Health Matters tiedye jumper you can see poking out of it and a bag full of HelloStigma goodies including never before seen items👀😲 ~ But of course I'm a scatterbrain, I'm unorganised, I'm unprepared, I'm stressed, I'm anxious, I'm overwhelmed, I'm depressed, I'm exhausted and my poor little mind is overworked so I forget everything, or I can't face it, or I simply am trying to do so much stuff at once that some things just do not get done!😭 ~ I am overwhelmed with orders; badges, clothing, bracelets etc, more badges for Walsall Council Youth Mental Health Campaign again, clothing, new designs, accounts, trying to make a website, trying to raise a child completely alone and lots of other jobs and responsibilities still to fulfill and the photos just have not been done yet!😥 But you know what? I'm owning it today!!👌 ~ Because it's time to talk... So here I am opening up and admitting that I am CONSTANTLY overwhelmed, CONSTANTLY unorganised and messy, CONSTANTLY a failure and letting people/myself down.. Why? Because I'm DAILY anxious, DAILY stressed, DAILY depressed, DAILY lonely, DAILY sad, DAILY guilty, DAILY tired, DAILY overwhelmed. But you know what? It's okay!! Because I am me. And noone else can do me better!💕 ~ I am me. I am flawed beyond words. I am broken. But I'm still here, and if you think about it, I'm actually quite brave, and I'm actually quite strong, and actually if I try reeeally fucking hard, sometimes I can accept that I might be a good mum too, sometimes... See how hard that was!?👀 ~ I'm not sure what the point to this post is other than showing how I let myself down today; which was the result of my unorganisation; which is the result of my mental health.. but, instead of letting it get to me, I'm talking about it! It's okay! Everything is going to be okay! I can let it go! I don't have to be so hard on myself! And neither do you!❤ ~ Lastly... I've decided I'm going to push myself to share abit more on here, I mean, that's what I'm fighting to normalise right!? 🖤 So, How was your day?💕

@amandasatov.nd

It’s been a week since #bellletstalkday and many of us shared our stories and let ourselves be vulnerable to show that #mentalhealth can and should be normalized. But, now what? You may have learned another side of someone you care about. You may have realized that those feelings you feel are more common than you thought. Someone close to me reached out after seeing my post, and asked “But how do I help? What do I say?” In talking to them I realized that the best way to help someone is simply to show up and let them know they’re there. That you are loved. That you are not alone. Maybe someone who is feeling anxious or depressed has a hard time labeling those feelings or knowing what would be helpful for them. And that’s a conversation worth continuing. Learning how we can better love ourselves and be loved by others in ways that feel good for us. Because the most powerful tool for mental health is connection. If you’re thinking about someone, let them know. If you’re grateful for someone in your life, let them know. A little extra love in our loves never hurts, and who knows how much it could help ♥️ . . . #mentalhealth #letskeeptalking #lovemorenotless #yourenotalone #connection #community #loveismedicine #endthestigma #anNDcanhelp #torontoND #naturopathicmedicine

Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there. . You can’t see depression, anxiety, or other mental illnesses physically, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I wish people understood that there’s more to a person than what you see physically. ✨ As we move toward reducing the stigma of invisible illnesses, these conversations will become easier, and hopefully unnecessary, one day in the future. Getting there starts with doing the hard work of educating those around us by sharing our own stories. . . . . . . . . #mentalhealth #mentalillness #endthestigma #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalillnessawareness #selfcare #OwnYourStigma #mentalhealthawarness #ambassadorswanted #influencerswanted #brandambassadorwanted #mentalhealthambassador #fashion #ambassadors #fashionambassadors #bekindtoyourmind #allbodiesaregoodbodies #selflove #mentalhealthadvocate #brandambassador #eatingdisorderawarenessweek #bodypositive #bopo #hamont #hamiltonontario #burlont #eatingdisorderawareness #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday at Guelph, Ontario

"H-Hi again everybody! I had another very exciting week last week with helping prepare for and partaking in #bellletstalkday at Winters! We had so many loving signs, friendly faces, and tons of yummy snacks! I-I would be lying if I didn't say I didn't sneak a cookie or two (heheheheh sorry Mom). I also got a lot of loving hugs. It made my little heart flutter with joy! On behalf of everyone from Residence Council, I want to thank every single person who came out to our little event for a fun and healing night. A-Although Let's Talk day is very important, I believe that we should be able to freely talk about and work towards our troubles every day without a negative bias looming over all of us. No one is ever alone and nobody should ever be made to feel that they are. Even if it seems no one wants to help you, just know that you have one fluffy friend who always does and is always ready to give out more hugs! So please, feel free to reach out to me or any of my friends at ResCo any time you need us. If you want to ask any questions about me or my adventures, comment down below. I may just answer them through a reply or even on our story. I hope you're enjoying my weekly updates. First and foremost, we would love to thank everyone for your ever growing support. The vision that we have for Never Skate Alone is quickly becoming a reality, and we're so proud that Mental Health and Depression are now becoming more than a one-day talk. Tagged in this post are some of the players who will be on the ice for Never Skate Alone as well as the head cheerleader, Joe Copeland! Dapper Dav, Real Side, and Taj&Kim are also working hard on their music, which will also include a song that will relate to depression. Also, plenty more surprises that we'll be announcing in the next few weeks! Tickets are on sale at http://LightsOutYYC.eventbrite.ca If you aren't able to attend, but would like to help, please https://www.gofundme.com/NeverSkateAlone OR message us at [email protected] 1 in 5 people every year will personally experience a Mental Health illness in Canada. Alongside that, according to Public Health Canada, an average of 11 Canadians commit suicide per day. Of the approximate 4000 suicides, 90% of them were living with a mental health illness. A lot of information, right? These are things that hurt to think about, but need to be acknowledged. #BellLetsTalkDay is over. The issues are still here. Let's try and change that. Our daily dose of Community Heroism ✨ ⠀ ⠀ @jaymievk_ has two special Heroic Humans on her mind today... ⠀ ⠀ “The weight we carry (@the_weight_we_carry) is a non profit organization created by two brothers seeking to raise awareness and money towards mental illness. I stumbled across their page and couldn’t help but be so humbled and inspired by their courage and determination to make a change. ⠀ ⠀ I want to recognize these two as being true hero’s, and making their story go viral: Carrying Canoes for Mental Health. 🛶 ⠀ ⠀ The pair set out to portage canoes on their backs to Mount Everest Base Camp, and arrived January 22nd. Symbolically, they are raising an important connection between the weight we all carry when suffering from mental illness or poor mental health.🧠 ⠀ ⠀ The trails connecting these parts of the Himalaya to the Khumbu Region near Mount Everest can be extremely steep and challenging to ascend even for the avid hiker with a backpack and trekking poles. Tom and Kyle had to navigate these mountain ranges with their backpacks and the canoes on their backs...”🔥 ⠀ ⠀ How amazing are these two brothers for creating such an awe inspiring campaign and movement. We see you!!!! Check out @the_weight_we_carry ❤️ ⠀ ⠀ Do you have a mental health organization that resonates and inspires with you? Tag em! ⠀ ⠀ #mentalhealthawareness #liveheroically #heroismliveshere #theheroichumans at Mount Everest

Anxiety is fear of something yet to happen. When this fear becomes too much with little rational basis, it becomes a problem. This picture sent to us by @gutinstinctsnutrition is life! 🖤 . ✨ What are a few things you feel help improve your mental health? ✨ When it comes to taking care of ourselves, we often focus more on our physical body. However, maintaining your mind is just as important. Focusing on mental health can improve your immune system, increase your productivity, and and even help you live longer. . Hi friends 👋 I know this post is a little late.. how ever, I wanted to share a little something in regards to the #bellletstalkday • Recently I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism which is a type of auto immune disorder... I wanted to share my story because many of my side effects and symptoms have effected me not only physically but emotionally..• The side effects from hypothyroidism include •Anxiety •Depression •ExtremeFatigue •Nausea •Heart palpitations •Head aches and migraines •Trouble focussing •Trouble conceiving children •Thyroid cancer •Cold intolerance •Weakness, joint pain and muscle pain •etc. • As you can imagine this created a storm of difficulty for me on a daily basis. 🙄 The side effects I noticed the most were fatigue and anxiety.. I lived day to day just trying to wake up on time and then lived with the anxiety when I accidentally slept in or was late for something. This went on for years... I would constantly blame myself for this with out realizing anything was actually wrong. I blamed myself everyday and asked myself “why am I like this?” Finally I had enough, I then went to my doctor who then diagnosed me..• After years of self doubt and blaming myself, I finally felt some kind of relief knowing that it wasn’t actually my own fault and that it was okay to ask for help. • TODAY - I still live with the symptoms of hypothyroidism, but knowing WHY took a huge weight off my shoulders and the anxiety, heart palpitations and fatigue have all slowed down immensely!! 👏🏼 • I am posting this, so that people who are going through the same thing or something similar know that it’s okay to not be okay. If I would have kept living the way I was living I know for a fact that I would not be as happy as I am today! 😊 #letstalk #bellletstalk

@katrina.marie.berg in our ALL BODIES ARE GOOD BODIES long sleeve t-shirt. ✨ We feel body image could be put into these 3 points: . 1) the way we view our bodies when we look into the mirror 2) the way we feel physically in our bodies 3) the way we think others perceive our bodies . Body image is something that truly affects everyone in different ways and being able to speak publicly about can be part of the healing process for many. @renew_dance

One of our incredibly courageous and beautiful adult dancers wrote this in light of #bellletstalk from last week: Before I came to Renew Dance, I had to think about getting there. This may seem easy to some but for those of us in the throes of depression or anxiety, it can seem next to impossible. I was sitting in my neuropsychologist’s office feeling particularly hopeless and woefully out of shape. He asked me what physical activity I used to enjoy doing. I said: “I used to love to dance.” He then asked me to go home and visualize myself dancing. He explained there is similar activity in the brain when you are mentally practicing an activity as when you are physically doing the activity. Lighting up that motor cortex, encouraging neuroplasticity, using mirror neurons-there is a whole host of neurological mechanisms working when we mentally practice an activity. Athletes, dancers, musicians, and surgeons all regularly make use of the power of visualization to improve their performance. I went home and sat on my very comfy couch and thought about how, as a child, I would just naturally practice dance steps in my head, without any prompting. It’s funny how as an adult, you can lose touch with the innate power of your mind and you need a lesson in neuroscience to remind you what should come naturally. So I sat there and visualized myself doing ballet and hip hop moves. I would remind myself of the power of visualization when I sat there feeling ridiculous and ineffectual. It took a dear friend who was also fed up with her physical state to put my thoughts into action. My friend suggested we should sign up for an exercise class of my choosing and we could hold each other accountable to attend. I did a google search and found out Renew Dance was offering Adult Ballet Barre classes and I thought this sounded like a great option for me. For quite some time, it was difficult to move in a body I did not recognize. However, with each class I could feel myself making strides. Renew Dance offered me a compassionate, creative and encouraging environment to reintroduce myself to the love of dance. (Story continued in comments)

@cleverasteroid

I was extremely privileged in my experience with anorexia nervosa, in that I fit the stereotype of what eating disorders are "supposed" to look like. - You don't have to be underweight or thin to have an eating disorder - Thin folks can have Binge Eating Disorder (BED) & fat folks can have anorexia. Eating disorders are not a body type. - Eating disorders aren't just about food or body image. Their conception is rooted in shame and the desire for control. - Eating disorders don't just affect women and girls. Men and boys develop eating disorders, as well. They also impact black, latinx, indigenous, etc. individuals; even though media representation of EDs are whitewashed. ⚬⚬⚬⚬⚬⚬⚬⚬⚬ Reposted from @ownyourstigma - Eating Disorder Awareness Week (EDAW) is every year from February 1-7. @letstalkforyou

Self love is the key to healing. However, it is easier said than done. Taking little steps at a time, choosing what feels good to you and what brings you joy can be a starting point in kindling self love inside of you. Self love is not selfish. It’s all about prioritizing yourself because you are important.

@originalobsessions

Today was #bellletstalkday and in honor of honesty I will tell you my story. I was born into trauma. My alcoholic father was abusing my mom before I was even born into this world. By the time I was a preteen I was an outcast at school and didn't have friends. I wanted to commit suicide by the time I was 14 and would have succeded have I not have a crush watching out protecting me. I am forever greatful for him. That was just the first time. I suffered with depression undiagnosed for another 17 years. I had 4 major depression episodes and countless if not constant stages of depressions gone unnoticed. I was controling, I was angry, I was a terrible young adult. I hated life, I didn't understand what I've done to deserve this punishment. I hated my father, I blamed the world. I went between a warrior princess to take on the enemy to I couldn't get out of bed and cry non stop. I was hurting so bad, I was hurting everyone around me to feel what I was feeling. I didn't think anyone cared so I didn't care either. I was conditioned to hate myself, so I couldn't love anyone unconditionally. At age 31 I was finally diagnosed, but it went terribly wrong and because of the swings, I was diagnosed bipolar. I was on lots a different medications and after about 6 months of the worst swings I've ever had (at some point I had thoughts of taking my toddler with me, that scared me more then anything in my entire life) I went to find proper help. It's been a very long and war like battle, and I don't suggest this without proper support and monitoring. I found help, I found alternate options, I found deep deep courage, I found support. But at 42....... I can say I'm medication free, I have more good days than bad, I know how to fight for my inner peace, I know I matter, I drew courage from my past, I thank my experiences, I know I have persevered. From this point on and forever I will not be shamed for my faults, I will not be ashame that I suffer from depression, I will not be silenced for being okay with not being okay. #bellletstalk #mentalhealth #depression #bipolardisorder #letstalk

@beautybycarlydara

💙Lets Stop the STIGMA💙 let’s stand together, As millions of people on this planet struggle with anxiety & depression! 🙋🏼‍♀️I’ll start by saying I was a only child from divorced family by the age of 7. I’m so thankful my little brother came along, when I was just 9 year old, in my dad’s second marriage! At 18, a family member began her battle with drug abuse, it put a tremendous amount of emotional baggage and pressure on me. Let’s just say I grew up very fast, but I wasn’t emotional evolved enough to truly understand. I’m 33 today, and I never did drugs or recreational drugs as a matter of fact...it just isn’t for me. It’s all about experiences and perception! Having lost my first grandma by 20, then the last 3 by 30, was a huge loss for me. As they were all special not only represented grandparents, but were my role models, my guardians and my unconditional love, guidance and support 💙 💙2018 was a growing year for me, I was faced with many obstacles from growing my brand & career as an entrepreneur, to looking for the find the right partner for life, health issues in July, Etc! But that’s when I decided to fix, cope and deal with my anxiety issue 🙏🏻 At the end of the day, nothing is easy for anyone of us! It’s about choices & decisions! it’s how we deal with adversity, I tackled my challenges by facing them with baby steps, creating goals that became milestones in my journey. ITS not about being wrong or right, it’s about doing what feels right to you at that moment In time. I spent many years going for therapy, this past one was the best yet, I truly learnt & understood what my basic needs are, and my own limitation! 💙2019 has been all star, I started this year facing a lot of fears, taking a last minute trip across the whole state of America, going on a hike in the middle of no where, and I coming out a winner 🏆 Today, my business is striving and I love what I do, Im so happy that I got here by myself #bellletstalk #stopthestigma #mtl #health #beauty #bblogger #truehappiness #mindful #healthylifestyle #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #anxiety #wednesdaymotivation #selflove #selfcare #influencer #ambassador #practice #motivation #bellletstalkday at Mental Health Awareness
