In 1974, long before Oregon had its booming modern wine industry, Laurel Ridge Winery @laurelridgewinery founder David Teppola purchased a 240-acre farm just east of Carlton, Oregon. With its perfect southern exposure, it looked like an excellent future vineyard site. As luck would have it, the farm was in the heart of what is now one of Oregon’s premier wine-growing regions. 📸 @steele_photo . . . #LaurelRidgeWinery #LaurelRidgeWine #bestoforegon #traveloregon #oregonexplored #newbergoregon #willamettevalley #wvwines #pinotnoir #pinot #oregonpinotnoir #oregonpinot #drinklocal #newwinery #besttastingroom #winecountrymornings #traveldundee #dundeeoregon #thingstodoinoregon #whattodoinoregon #visitwillamettevalley #oregonwinecountry #willamettevalleywine #destinationwillamette #winetour #oregonwine #winetouroregon #winetourcompany #winetasting #winecountry at Laurel Ridge Winery

This creek is a beautiful mess!!! I've never seen so many logs all over a creek and mostly all covered with moss! You can see on the newer logs there's moss starting to grow. Keep the rain coming! That's what makes it so beautiful here. Mosses and lichens take decades to grow, and are easily killed by both crushing them and by knocking them off of the rocks so please don't walk on it and remember to #leavenotrace. . #Oregon #upperleftusa #jj_oregon #traveloregon #conquer_oregon #theNWadventure #thatoregonlife #youroregon #itsyouroregon #pnwdiscovered #oregonnw #nationalforest #pnwlove #oregonsaperature #pnwisbeautiful #pnwwonderland #pnwpride #willamettenationalforest #oregonisbeautiful #mossygoodness #mossy #rainynorthwest #rainydaygoodness #pnwwonderland #pnwisbest #pnw #creekhikes #beautifuloregon #bestoforegon #naturaloregon at Willamette National Forest

During the winter season I usually slow down quite a bit and pursue some of my other hobbies like cooking, baking, reading, and watching movies. I’ve got plans to do a lot of cooking tomorrow on my day off and I’m looking forward to it so much 🤗 // Last weekend I got out for a chilly, snowy hike in the Gorge and it was beautiful! It was also my first time up close to the effects of the Eagle Creek Fire. It was sad, yet beautiful! The charred trees with the snow was breathtaking! // 📸 @bryz.a2 at Columbia River Gorge

There are few things I love more than losing myself in a dance. There is nothing I hate more than line dances and songs that tell me how to dance to them. The Cupid Shuffle is the bane of my existence. I refuse to dance to that atrocity. I remember my first elementary school sock hop. I don’t know what the song was but I remember that it really got me going. I completely lost myself in the dance. When the song ended I realized a crowd had gathered around me. They had never seen anything like it. And that’s when the Dusty Disco was born. (Back then people still called me Dustin). This spurred a lifelong interest in dance. I’ve never been a technical dancer. I’ve never been trained classically or any other way actually. I just let my body move the way it feels like it should. In the moments that I’m dancing nothing and nobody else matters. The saddest scene I’ve ever witnessed was about 7 years ago at the holiday party for the company I was working for at the time. They had a dance floor and a live band but not a single person was on the dance floor. I made a comment to one of my coworkers about how sad it was to see and he said “why don’t you do something about it?” So I made the long walk from my table to the dance floor alone. I strolled right out to the middle of the floor and did what I do best. I forgot about the spectators. I forgot about my lowly position at the company. I forgot that I was one of the only sober people at the party. And I danced. It just so happened that I chose to dance during the longest song the band played that night. I was up there by myself for at least 6 minutes. But towards the end of the song there were about 10 of us on the floor. That was the night that the Dusty Disco died and the Toasty Tango was born. Solo dancing in front of over 100 people for over 5 minutes was one of the top five moments of my life. #sunrisedawgs at Oregon

@sidiphonegraphy

Bridal Veil Falls is a waterfall located on Bridal Veil Creek in the Columbia River Gorge in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. The Historic Columbia River Highway passes over Bridal Veil Falls on a bridge. From a parking lot on the highway, a winding footpath and another bridge lead to a vantage point for the falls. The falls consists of two cascades in quick succession along angling rockfaces, so when there is a good amount of water the falls looks very much like its namesake. at Bridal Veil Falls

Multnomah Falls is a waterfall located in the Columbia River Gorge, east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, Oregon, United States. The waterfall is accessible from the Historic Columbia River Highway and Interstate 84. Spanning two tiers on basalt cliffs, it is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon at 620 ft (189 m) in height. The land surrounding the falls was developed by Simon Benson in the early-twentieth century, with a pathway, viewing bridge, and adjacent lodge being constructed in 1925. The Multnomah Falls Lodge and the surrounding footpaths at the falls were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Contemporarily, the state of Oregon maintains a switchback trail that ascends to a talus slope 100 feet (30 m) above the falls, and descends to an observation deck that overlooks the falls' edge. The falls attract over two million visitors each year, making it the most-visited natural recreation site in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. at Multnomah Falls
