This is a bit of an advanced #curl variation, but it’s my favorite #bicep variation by the one and only Vince Gironda. It's his version of a Zottman Curl. Start with your elbows tucked into your side while maintaining a supinated grip with the dumbbells. As you curl the weight up, you're going to rotate inward and almost punch yourself in the face with the weight. As you come down in the you're eccentric, reverse your wrists into a reverse dumbbell curl. And then as you get down to the bottom of the exercise you're going to rotate again and come back to supination. This is NOT done with heavy weight. Keep it light and feel the tension all over your biceps. If you can get into a nice slow groove here, you’re good. Back&Bi day before I bang out another final👊🏽 1. TRX rows: Targeting your upper back and biceps, making sure your feet are planted at a comfortable distance for support(placing them far apart helps with balance!), contract abs, and really extending the thoracic spine without letting your pelvis dip back on the way down. 2. Dumbbell rows: Also another great exercise for the upper back and biceps while also learning to contract the abs(no arching the lumbar spine🙅🏻‍♀️) Remember to take it slow lowering the weight and keeping great posture! 3. Face pulls: Works out the traps and also get some action from the posterior delts. Really trying to retract the scapulas and returning slowly to beginning position! Just a couple curl variations width the shoulder extended (elbow up) on the cable crossover. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Extension of the humerus 🦴 causes slack in the long head of the biceps. This forces the short head to do much more of the work. These two exercises are great for working the short head of the biceps brachii. The short head makes up the inner half of the biceps muscle.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ They should be performed from full extension to full flexion at the elbow joint. Banded glutes and hamstrings workout! You can make this body weight and do it at home with a band💃🏼 . 1) banded hip thrust 3 x 12 2) single leg RDL’s 3 x 15 each leg 3) laying abduction 3 x 20 4) seated abduction 3 x 20 4) plank walk with thigh grab 3 x 12 (6 each side) 5) banded glute raises 3 x 15 6) barbell reverse lunges 3 x 8 each leg . This is a combo of both the home and gym daily drip! The body weight band only exercises are some of what we did today on the home version. Only a couple clips from the gym version. . Week 3 chest and biceps. Had to do this one in Northampton with being away with work but I do enjoy training here. The lighting (in my opinion) is quite flattering. Shame it doesn’t actually make you grow 🤷🏻‍♂️. First one isn’t so much a highlight but more of a reality set. I’m going to fail a lot in this whole process but that doesn’t bother me. Not even trying in the first place is what bothers me. I hate pestering strangers for a spot but got one on my next set and hit 9 reps for 44kg. This video was 40kg. Just shows a little support goes along way. If you want bigger biceps you need to prioritize getting stronger on just a few workouts: BB curls, weighted chin-ups & reverse grip bent over rows . These workouts work. And they get the biceps a hell of a lot stronger and make them look more dense . Once you perform those, you’ll want to get a pump so that blood is rushing to the muscle that is getting worked . Incline DB curls & preacher curls target the biceps so well and provide an enormous stretch which activates more muscle fibers. This leads to a bigger & better shaped muscle . The hammer curl, when performed right, will give you a crazy pump in your biceps, all the way down to your forearms. Performing this with slow negatives will have your arms screaming and feeling like they will explode . Cable workouts are always great but don’t let them take up the majority of your bicep workouts. Bicep part of my arm workout from last week at 15 weeks pregnant 🤰🏻💪🏼💙 1️⃣ cable curls 3x10 (on the way back down go slow!) 2️⃣ pull-ups 3x6 (you do what you can for reps I can barely do them right now they make my stomach cone so I don’t do them often without assistance currently) 3️⃣ double arm curls with dumbbells 3x10 4️⃣ single arm curls with dumbbells 3x8 each arm 5️⃣ hammer curls 3x8 each arm 6️⃣ drag curls 3x10 7️⃣ reverse curl into regular curl 3x8 (down up is one rep) 8️⃣ wide curls 3x10 9️⃣ incline curls 3x10 This is basically almost all the bicep exercises I do there is a few I switch up and do! This week I actually increased every exercise by 5lbs!!! It was the most weight I ever did I was very proud ☺️😍

WM bar preacher curls, the middle exercise block of my arm workout. This was the first exercise of a new tri set after an hour of dumbells weighing 15kg & 20kg, doing lots of giant sets on biceps and triceps. Did lots of reps and sets using a variety of curls to really work the arms. The pain in my arms was real and my left was starting to seize, making the Rom difficult. Also did front curls and single arm preacher dumbell curls after this with about 5-10 rest between them. Been struggling the past 2 months with a wrist injury on my right arm. I didn't give up though I just modified the exercises. Every exercise can be modified and changed to suit your needs. Want that extra push with your fitness or workouts?
