But, I was rapping with my girl @carleeacevedofuller today and it hit me: People get better when they prioritize their rehab…and accessories are never a priority. Yes, that necklace might totally go with that outfit and that bracelet might be the 💩, but neither of those accessories are as important as oh, say, pants…or a shirt. Forget to put on your bracelet, not the end of the world. Forget to put on pants…you might want it to be the end of the world. — So, while this might be a discussion about semantics, the reality is, words matter, and the words we choose will inherently assign value to that thing. Call it an accessory and it will be valued as such. Consider it part of your work out and suddenly skipping it stops being an option. Give it the time and effort it deserves, because, lets’s face it, you, with your weak shoulder, stiff hips, tight ankles, sore back, cricked neck, or creaky knees need that stuff the most. — Daily Maestroisms dropping every night at 7pm-ish PST. The parts of you, you hold back could be the key to getting what you want. You've spent years perfecting the version of you that's got you this far. She's successful... She's the one everyone comes to when they don't know what to do... She's an amazing wife/mother/girlfriend/employee/boss... She's warm & accepting.... I was amazing at convincing myself that I could be ok with fine. I did it for years until 1 day I couldn't do it anymore. I had no desire to do it anymore. I was tired of rejecting a big part of me so I could have a life that looked good but made me miserable. I had always made the "right" choice. I went to college. I married the guy. I was the over achiever. Perfectionist. The employee who would cancel plans to work last minute. I did all the things that were supposed to make me happy & successful. I didn't feel like either. Maybe you've felt this too. GOOD! The first step to figuring out what you want is recognizing what you don't. I decided if I took all the energy I was using to create the perfect version of me & used it to create a #lifeilove , I could make it happen a whole lot faster. So I stopped trying to hide everything about me that I thought wasn't good enough or was too different. And I figured out all those things actually worked for me. They helped me figure what I wanted & they helped me get it faster. Ready to create a life you actually want to be living? Make a list of all the things in your life that you don't want there. Make another list of what you do want(Get creative, no limits). Finally make a list of things about you that you've been holding back.(creativity, saying no, coloring your hair, writing, what you like to watch & read). Well there isn’t very much positive, if anything at all, that ever comes from a hurricane or other natural disaster. There was however some disruptions to logistics. Big night last night! Awesome night getting to meet @livingfitwithleticia in person...so cool when people exceed your expectations and are more awesome than you can imagine. ✨ I used to watch her IG videos and think I want to do that workout, I want those results! "A little progress each day adds up to BIG results" These pictures were taken just about two years apart. When I put them next to each other, I was shocked! 😯 Two years ago, I felt that I could eat whatever I wanted to because I worked out about 3-4 days a week (at home of course), and that if I skipped around the workout calendar, that I would get the same results as someone who followed it exactly like it was designed to. Two years later... after paying more attention to the foods I'm fueling my body with and working out 5-6 days a week, I've learned.... Sure, I can eat what I want, but in moderation, and sometimes when I do that my body reacts differently and I've learned to listen to it. This is the only body I get, so I BETTER take care of it! That the meal guides/portion control containers come with each at home workout program for a reason! And I now know, in order to get the results I'm working for, I need to follow the calendars exactly like there were designed. You don't need to go on a diet or workout hours a day to get results. Simple things like becoming more aware of the foods you should be eating and consistently getting in some exercise everyday will PAY OFF! But you won't have to do it alone! My job, is to help you EVERY step of the way - are you ready to make tiny changes to your life to see the results you've been wanting?!
