The other day I reached for my third cookie and a guy said to me "Don't you think that's enough?" Ya'll I was triggered ๐Ÿคฃ I was like "you judging by food choices" He went for the age old "I'm looking out for you because they aren't good for you" I've been talking about unsolicited comments and this is another one. If I want three cookies, I eat three cookies and it's not anyone's place to tell me I shouldn't. As a person who struggled with bulimia and binge eating, I have chosen to free myself from restriction and eat what I want so I'm not hiding at midnight eating hoards of "forbidden" foods. I am fully capable of deciding when and what I should eat. And even if I go overboard, I am able to return to normal eating without someone "looking out for me" Restriction is the real enemy, not a third cookie.

Loving my Christmas present from last year. My in-laws knew I was getting serious about my weight loss journey. They also knew in the winter it was hard for me to go out due to my arthritis plus being lvl 4 morbidly obese didnโ€™t help. So they bought my hubby and I this awesome treadmill. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ I was soo happy and thankful. This journey has allowed me to try new things also. I was able to try a yoga class at 5:30 in the morning this past Friday ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Before my weight held me back cause it was way too painful even in a modified position. But now I was able to keep up and learned of muscles I didnโ€™t know existed ๐Ÿ˜‚ it was an hour long class. Afterwards I took a small break then weight trained with my trainer for 30 minutes all in the same day I was soo surprised at myself. 225lbs lost and Iโ€™m not stopping, Iโ€™ve gone from lvl 4 morbidly obese to being at the overweight lvl. ๐Ÿ–คEveryday is a good day to start loving yourself, your body and all that it can do for you! Iโ€™ve had my ups and downs with loving my body but I truly do have a newfound peace and unconditional love for it these days. For once in my life I finally see my body for what it is, a beautiful, strong and Resilient vessel that lets me be me! I can move, I can run, I can dance, I can play with my 3 year old nephew, I can laugh till I might pass out and so, so much MORE! leg doms from yesterday are REAL. Nothing special going on today... push session this morning managed to get the 20s up on flat DB press for 7 ๐Ÿคฉ finished my session with 20 mins LISS and 2 ab exercises using the cable - when training core I rarely do basic crunches! Itโ€™s all about dynamic movements - I love doing diagonal twists on the cable to really hit my obliques โœจ

Happy Tuesday friends!!!๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ’š . A little disclaimer before I continue this post: Izaak and I literally NEVER drink... like maybe once every few months! But this weekend we drank far more than Iโ€™m used to and needless to say I felt sh*tty the next mornings... but I donโ€™t regret a second of it! We enjoyed quality time with friends and family and the events we went to involved social drinking!๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ’š . I wasnโ€™t going to just NOT drink and continue being my super anti-social self at a party LOL! I wanted to enjoy my weekend and having quite a few drinks honestly helps sometimes! Trust me when I say Iโ€™ve had many of breakdowns and setbacks. Self sabotage is a real bitch. Iโ€™ve been on both sides of the spectrum. I looked at Stella and thought, damn I hope she never feels that way about herself! How can I expect her to love herself if I canโ€™t love myself!? . I preach positive body image all the time but Iโ€™m not perfect. Sometimes I let that mean girl in my head and I actually listen to her. Wtf!? . Am I fat? No! Do I have fat? Yes! Does that define me? Hell no! It doesnโ€™t define you either, no matter what size or shape you are. . Sometimes we gain weight, sometimes we fall off our routines, sometimes we fail... We are human and we will never be perfect. . I have to learn to give myself the grace that I do easily give to others. ๐Ÿ˜ซ . I hope this message speaks to someone else who needs to hear it today. YOU are beautiful just the way you are!

This doesnโ€™t mean that your looks and your body donโ€™t matter, they do! Your body IS you! Itโ€™s the vessel that allows you to exist, a container full of all of the energy that lets you feel and express, kiss and hug, belly laugh, console a friend with touch or words, pick up your phone to send a flirty text, taste, smell, see, hear, jump, feel butterflies in your tummy and intuition in your gut.
