Beautiful Chaos.โ € โ € Working out with kids at home is tough. When they are just little they nap a couple times a day, you can pop them in a exasaucer or Jolly Jumper and squeeze in a quick workout. โ € โ € But as they get older, it is harder to keep them contained, out of trouble and out of your hair for even 30 minutes. โ € โ € Sure, we can get up early, or workout after they go to bed... But sometimes at the end of the day you are just exhausted. โ € โ € This is a huge focus for me in my classes. I want to create an environment that Mamas feel comfortable to bring their kids (yes ALL their kids) to class and we can workout together. โ € โ € Sure some classes you will get a bit more distracted than others, but you will still get out of the house, and get in a workout that you may have given up on after the first 3 distractions at home. โ € โ € Lots of gyms offer childcare which is amazing! But that can get pricey when you have more than one kiddo, and impossible if your little one is a #stage4clinger. โ € โ € So pack some snacks, grab the kiddos and come meet me for a workout. โ € Thursdays @ 9:30am at @drformoms in Brentwood. This is another variation of one from a few weeks ago. Check it out: # ๐Ÿ‘Place a mini band around your ankles, and lie facedown on the ground with your head on your hands ๐Ÿ‘Flex the feet and point the toes towards the floor. ๐Ÿ‘Raise the legs off the floor. ๐Ÿ‘Open the legs, moving from the hips, as wide as you can, while squeezing the glutes. Itโ€™s been a minute since Iโ€™ve filmed my workouts, but here we gooo!! โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰ I did 4-5 sets of various reps throughout the workout (usually between 5-12 reps though). . ๐Ÿ“Œ Save this workout and try on your next Glute/Hamstring day. . 2๏ธโƒฃ Sumo Deadlift - Hips drive back, back stays straight, core braced, slightly drop hips as the weight travels to the ground. Keeping the bar close to shins/thighs, squeeze all the way up feeling a stretch through your hamstrings and full activation of the glutes. ๐Ÿ’ฏ . 2๏ธโƒฃ Stiff Leg Deadlift - Similar to the cues above but keep hips higher and less bend through the knees. . 3๏ธโƒฃ GHD Machine - start with lowering under control until the torso is parallel to the floor. Press toes into the footplate and squeeze hamstrings, glutes, and abs up. I am glad I filmed this one because I definitely hyperextended a bit at the top.๐Ÿ˜ฌ Next time I will make sure to stop when my spine is straight. . 4๏ธโƒฃ Hip Thrust Machine - Ribs packed in tight, dig heels into the ground, reset pelvis at the bottom by adding slight posterior tilt (prevents hypertension) and squeeze all the way up to full hip extension. . #deadliftday #sumodeadlift #squatbooty #hipthuster #buildthebooty #bootybuilder #myfitnessdiary #glutesworkout #glutesandhamstrings #girlswholift #liftheavyweights #ufcgymhuntingtonbeach

Booty band workout ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฅ I always recommend heavy compound exercises to help build your legs/glutes such as squats, deadlifts, hip thrust, lunges etc. these compound lifts work more muscles and will build more strength if done correctly. . . However we donโ€™t always activate and use our glutes while performing these movements this is where this circuit can come in handy, repeat 1/2 to activate glutes before compound lifts. . . These banded exercises are also good for isolating the glutes and can be a good burnout for the glutes at the end of a workout. Repeat 3/4 for a booty burnout ๐Ÿ”ฅ. . . If a beginner lifter/ havenโ€™t done a lot of glute workouts then the band will provide enough resistance to create a full workout. Repeat 4/6x for a full booty workout. . .
