To ignore the idea that we need to grieve in this time can be detrimental to the healing and recovery process. . Grieving is a natural human experience that is deeply rooted in and driven by emotions. . The middle stages of grieving require us to acknowledge and lean into fear, sadness, heartbreak, anger, depression and anxiousness. During these middle stages you might find yourself over-processing, binge eating, sleeping more, sleeping less, crying often, wanting to rage, panic purchasing, hoarding mass amounts of information, and so on. . . Give yourself permission to authentically process the middle part. Be mindful of what's happening and give space for patience and kindness in your grieving. Every family has a different rhythm and dynamic. Trying to live like another person or family right now will only lead to discouragement and frustration. If you find planning a scavenger hunt for your kids fun and enjoyable, go for it! If it makes you want to pull out your hair, Don't Do It! What we mean is, are you working when you need to work and living when you need to live? ⁠ ⁠ Having a work/life boundary is important, especially now. & if we're able to cultivate strong boundaries now, we are going to take them with us into post-coronavirus life. ⁠ ⁠ The best way to start to cultivate your boundary is to physically create one. ⁠ ⁠ If you work out of a home office, then close the door when you are on break or done for the day. ⁠ ⁠ If you are working on the dining room table like many of us, put away your laptop/supplies/notebooks etc. ⁠ ⁠ Have your workspace, but get it out of sight when you're not working.
