I hit my first upper body strength workout tonight. I haven't done an upper body focused lift in months. The weights I once used felt so HEAVY! 😤Getting through those 60 second lifts felt like an eternity! I even had to change weights part way through. And While I wanted to be disappointed, I looked at it instead as a new challenge. ☄️A way to work on bettering myself. I'm going to spend this month working on gaining that strength back. Building my upper body strength has always been a struggle for me, but I'm willing to work o that! By the end of the month I'm going to have made progress! Lean in to that wrestle with God, lean in to the frustration as you decide whether or not to do what you know He's telling you, He's not surprised by it. Some Back and Biceps for your Friday night 💪🏻My back is another thing that's been coming in nicely! I don't always get days where I am blessed with doing two workouts, because of life I'm normally on a time crunch and pushing it those who workout with me would know this lol but today I was extremely blessed! This is my first workout of two Wednesday. Did this one at @sacramentoecofitness using all cables because cables are literally my favorite to use for back and biceps workouts! The wifey @ro88a and I started the #ketodiet man I see why this diet is pretty intense. Maintaining your energy level and training smart is key. I switched up my workout to incorporate repetition and to keep strength heavy lifting with about 6 to 8 reps. One thing forsure is I been sipping through #bpicreatine helps like crazy! Doing a little mini cut so I won't blow myself up lol. TBar Rows from back day two days ago. These have me sore to this day 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 --- With these, I usually go pretty heavy (30-35kg) for 6-8repetitions, and then do a drop set of 20kg (decrease the weight and do 6-8 more reps). Sumo Deadlifts!! ▪️5x8-10 did these at the end of backday ▪️195lbs (88kg) Last set shown ▪️Sumo Deadlift vs the conventional deadlift focuses more on the hamstrings and the glutes, whereas the conventional is more quad focused ▪️I find that for me I can pull much heavier for sumos than conventionals ▪️Gotta work on going heavier with my deadlifts and work on perfecting my form a bit more ▪️Goal PR would be 225lbs 💜💜💜SIDE NOTE 💜💜💜 I know lighting is poor but this gym is to DIE for so it will have to work!! at Fitness HQ

Working on back and chest today. I realized I hadn't done a good heavy lift day in a week and a half! Felt great. Did 1/4 mile sprints in between each set. I'm trying hard to balance muscle gains with fat loss and increased endurance in my running. It's very much a learning process for me. All while trying to also figure out what exactly I should have my macros set at.
