It takes time to go from obsessing over calories, trying to eat less and less to achieve an impossible goal, weighing myself every day, talking to my body like shit. It takes time to go from that to having a healthy relationship with my body and with food. To go out for dinner and not feel guilty the next day and not feel I've got to exercise after. It takes time but it's so bloody worth it. I love food, food excites me. I love to cook, I love to check the menu before going out to dinner so I can get excited about what I'm gonna eat 😂. Eating brings friends together, its enjoyable and I decided I didn't want to watch my life go by saying no to all the fun stuff. All the food! I won't care about calories when I'm 80 so at some point all that negative stuff would stop. I decided to make it stop now rather than wait until too much fun has passed by. You CAN have a fit body and not deprive yourself. It is possible. Eat the foods that make your body feel good and also eat the foods that make your soul feel good. Move your body, push yourself. And never, ever say no to birthday cake. In this case, smothering peanut butter on toast to accommodate our love of a specific food and our need for energy. - - Limitation, exclusion and extreme conservatism are things you are told you need to do in order to improve your diet. Whilst this is true for fat loss in that decreased calorie consumption = more fat loss, when it comes to foods you adore, extreme restriction can be difficult. You’re told you cannot eat a certain food, but you enjoy it. You’re told you can only eat minuscule portions, but you want more. - - Let me tell you something. If deprived, you will eventually eat your desired portion of that food. And the longer you deprive yourself of it, the more likely you are to take excessive consumption of it to the realms of extortion. - - Sometimes progression is about accepting that you will eat your favourite calorie dense foods because naturally, you enjoy those foods. Taking this exactly for what it is can enable one to find peace. So much so that one will be able to think rationally about the relationship between palatable desire and their fitness goal. Thus, calm rationality and application of logic can enable one to strike an informed compromise. - - Whilst one’s body composition is entirely defined physiological responses to energy in vs energy out, it is one’s mind (and the decisions it makes) which start the process. - - Acceptance and nutritional awareness can therefore shift one’s mindset from from unnecessary anxious deprivation and misery to clear appreciation of one’s own necessity to consume enjoyed foods and improve health. If the mind is rational and clear, there’s a good chance that the rest of one’s nutritional journey will follow a similar path. I do not think we have this conversation enough. We talk about people battling their weight all their life. Having conditions and life circumstances. Well that's not my story. . . . I was always below weight, most of my life. In middle and high school people accused me of being anorexic. I was a ballet dancer for 10+ years of my life and a cheerleader during high school. I was super healthy and NEVER once thought about what I was eating. I could eat whatever I wanted and it didn't matter. My family reports that I would eat enough to live and that was all. . . . Then life hit me when I was a senior in college. I was still pretty healthy but I was developing eating as a coping skill. I was able to buy and eat whenever and whatever I wanted. Then I moved back to Alaska and started graduate school and that's when it got super bad. I gained over 50 lbs in about a 4-5 year time frame. Clearly I did not gain all that weight over night. I'm also not going to lose it all over night. . . . I have lost 17+ lbs so far. My goal is to be back to the girl you see in the left photo. She was happy and care free. She loved her body and loved to dress it. The girl on the right is disgusted with herself. Hated the mirror and hated buying clothing because it was always frustrating. . . . This is my story. It's not like everyone else but I know I am not special in my story either. But this is my truth and I can only manage my life. ⚠️ HUGGGEE 275KG 600LBS DEADLIFT PR!!!!!!!! ⚠️ . (Warning. Contains blood) 600 pound pull at 85kg BW. First time the nose has gave way and bust but hell there wasn’t a chance that bar was getting let go of. Forward on from deadlifts was an insane back workout. On top of this, I backed off and pulled 250KG for a TRIPLE. 🙌🏻My own personal #transformationtuesday for those that haven’t seen it before🙌🏻 - 😋Back in 2016/17 I set out on my weight loss journey to prove a point to myself.  I wanted to enjoy my diet, eat ONLY the foods I enjoyed with complete flexibility and never feel guilty about the choices I made. - 😒Without me taking this approach, I was never ever going to be cured of my eating disorders and therefore sustain my fat loss once and for all. - 🍔I stuck only to a weekly calorie range and then made sure I ate nutrient-dense meals, designed purely around what I liked to eat. - 🏃🏻‍♂️I barely did any exercise due to being severely injured.  I ate out 1-2 times a week on average.  If I wanted something, I ate it.  I felt a huge sense of freedom and there was zero negative impact on my work, family or personal life. - 🤜🏻🤛Dieting the #itsfine way CANNOT be achieved through guess work – that’s not what it’s all about.  It’s not a magic quick fix.  It takes TWO things… TRUST and COMMITMENT. - 🤔If you are struggling to lose weight and hating what you are doing you just need to trust me.  Once you have, you’re half way there. - 🏆Finding out the number of calories you need to maintain your weight so you can then accurately put yourself into a calorie deficit doesn’t happen instantly.  You need to commit to the process for a few weeks but, once you find out that magic number, you can then live your life with complete freedom with your food choices and finally enjoy the process and get the long term results you deserve.🏆 - 🥳For those of you that haven’t seen the summary video of my weight loss I have put the link in our bio which tells the story of Fine Dieting.🥳 - at Fine Dieting

My calories for Monday. I've been sick for awhile with a tooth or sinus infection. Feeling better for now. I didn't eat or sleep for 3 days so ya...that was fun. I didn't take great care of my teeth years before so the damage is already done even though I've recently been taking good care of them. I have insurance now though so hopefully they will improve. Back at you with THE BEST DIET post! - This doesn’t get old. At least for ya’ll! Seems we still out here looking for the secrets, when really they’re super simple and just require a liiiiittle of your hard worn attention. - Shit diets suck. That generally covers any pop culture way of eating that starts and finishes with ‘The **** Diet’. These rigid ways of eating get old fast and tend to leave you frustrated and worse off then when you started because you’ve lost time, energy and the will to live. - They all, however, work off the same tried and tested SCIENCE. Consume less calories than you require and you’ll lose weight/fat. They all facilitate you removing a chunk of calories from your diet in one way or another, it just tends to be at the omission of everything you enjoy. - MY ADVICE: realise this. Set about tracking your calories so you know how much you’re eating; track your progress and adjust accordingly. Rinse repeat. No food groups are off limits; just an excess consumption of calories. Or are you looking for an excuse because you have the best stocked chocolate cupboard....😬 shout to the caramel nibbles for brekky gang . For sure, there will be slight changes in resting metabolic rate......but your daily energy expenditure can be changed. . Do you find yourself largely inactive and sedentary through your day to day life? Rather than sit back and make an excuse, be proactive and take ownership of your daily expenditure & what you put in your mouth. Nobody else can get your daily steps in for you, nobody else can train for you.... . If you've been trying to shift some weight and things just aren't moving, check to see if you are both accurately and consistently tracking ALL of the calories you consume (ALL OF THEM)....it's easy to forget the bag of monster munch (grab bag ting aswell) you nailed in your afternoon meeting....if you spend time HONESTLY tracking your caloric intake🧐 (more than 3 days ideally....try weeks) and things still don't move....then you're more than likely eating too much and moving too little. . 99/100 people are physically able enough to take control over the outcome and make a positive change....up to you though.....suppose it's easier to binge watch power and blame a ‘slow metabolism’ instead ey....👀👀👀👀 . Preciso subito che il messaggio che voglio trasmettere è quello di far sì che voi AUMENTIATE l'apporto di questi alimenti, NELLA MISURA IN CUI voi siate CONSAPEVOLI che anch'essi possiedono delle CALORIE! Dovute a che tipo di macronutriente?? Beh, semplice... O meglio, carboidrati... SEMPLICI! Ebbene si, il costituente della principale 'energia che rilascia un frutto deriva proprio da.. ZUCCHERI! Ma non solo... . . . Con questa tabella potrete ora tenere a mente quelle che sono le CALORIE MEDIE DI OGNI PORZIONE DI FRUTTO DI MEDIA GRANDEZZA... Quindi prestate sempre attenzione al momento in cui mangiate un frutto (meglio se come spuntino o a colazione e non subito dopo i pasti, altrimenti la glicemia raggiunge picchi ancora più alti)! . . Headlines are meant to get you to read and researchers need to generate buzz to obtain funding. Be skeptical⁉️ (again not accusing anyone) 🤔 Even if you don't understand the source material. Look for things you do understand and then ask questions. Use the Look and Smell test. Does it seem off? Might be. The objective theae types of studies is not to "prove" anything, but to identify correlations which can lead to further understanding and research.
