It's to show how 100 calories of different foods can be a substantially different amount of food and how you should use vegetables like broccoli to your advantage when dieting. - 100 calories of steak is a small amount whereas 100 calories of broccoli is a lot. Obviously, the macronutrients and nutrition of each food is completely different. However, if you were to eat just the steak, you would probably still be hungry after. But, if you combine it with broccoli then you're much more likely to feel full. - I know this sounds simple and that's because it is. This is just one example. You can and should add veggies to as many meals as you can when dieting in order to deal with hunger. How do you feel when you go to a restaurant and they list the calorie counts on the menu? Or you see a graphic that shows you how long you need to be on the elliptical to “burn off” Thanksgiving dinner.✨While our portion sizes DO matter. And having a caloric deficit is PART of the fat loss formula, calorie counts are just too inaccurate. And the idea that we need to do this (350 burpees) to burn that (a glorious piece of pumpkin pie) is kinda (totally) bullshit.🤦🏽‍♀️Exercise should not be viewed as punishment for eating a certain food.✨ I’d much rather they show us the ingredients in the meals. #bemindfulofwhatyoueat #canyoupronouceit

💥Eating Cereal Isn’t the problem, Eating Too Much Cereal Is💥 🦄 In before the comments saying my pics aren’t as good as @caloriefixes. I am so woke to that fact you wouldn’t even believe it 😂😂😂. 🐝 Let’s get something straight here — I am not saying you should eat cereal every meal, nor do I think cereal should be shunned when eating for fat loss. If you like it? Eat it, dude. 🐛 What I want to point out with this post is that the typical measured serving size (right) is drastically different than the “I’m having a *bowl* of cereal” (unmeasured) on the left. I’ll be the first to admit that my bowl looks like the left far more than it does on the right, but, when I log my cals I def add 2.5-3x to the serving size so I know I cover it in my daily goal. 🦋 The moral of the story is that you should eat a bowl of cereal if thats what you want. Just make sure you measure your portion size when doing so in order to keep your calories in check and keep your fat loss goals tracking in the right direction. Final #4 Post of this mini-series! It's important to surround yourself with a good support system. Your friends and family can help you prepare your foods and snacks and provide you with the positive social eating environment mentioned in a previous post! It's also super important to get your information from a Registered Dietitian vs your local fitness guru as there is a vast amount of "information" regarding nutrition out there and knowing what is fact vs fiction can be easily distorted by people who are unfamiliar with the science of nutrition.  That being said if you can't get access to a Registered Dietitian, or you're simply curious choose resources that are reputable. Sources like the Mayo Clinic, Academy of Nutrition and Dietitians, websites that end with .Gov, and if you're more into research PubMed which is a website brought to you by the US National Library of Medicine and National Institute of health and allows to to search for health related research. I have provided just a few links of some sources I find to be user-friendly and helpful! Fooood: - breakfast is scrambled eggs on toast (285 calories) - lunch was leftover vegetable jambalaya with some chicken and cheese on the side, the jambalaya tasted weird today so obv needed cheese to make it nicer 😅 (547 calories) - dinner was more basa with potatoes and a Greek salad (453 calories) - also having a cereal bar as pudding! (113 calories) I also managed my first workout in 2 months today which I'm super happy about 💪🏼 slightly under on calories at 1398 (173g carbs, 70g protein and 48g fat) but not worried!

25-09-2017 • day one is complete and it was a success! I'm so happy! 😀 I did an ab workout which – if I'm being honest – wasn't too intense, but I was mainly focusing on my form and mastering the exercises for the future. How many steps do you make per day? We often underestimate the importance of movement outside of the gym when thinking about weight loss. Walking burns calories. And the impact of this calorie burn in the long term is more than you could imagine. For example, my ‘Stepz’ app says that I burnt 330 kcal walking 8000 steps today. This is how much I burn in bodypump on a bad day :) Your ‘Health’ app is probably counting your steps without you noticing it. I checked the archives, for example, and realised that some days I would just drive to pump, do pump, drive home and sit at the laptop all day😱 Ditch the car and GO!🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏼‍♀️ PS.
