CAMPFIRE STEW 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Still feeling 'meh' but went for a little walk to the shop to get the bits needed to make this. Decided this morning I wanted to use the slow cooker, but seemed to be missing alllll the herbs and spices needed... Along with kidney beans, chopped tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree, a red onion, carrots and peppers 🤷🏼‍♀️ Village shop to the rescue and a funny little chat about fat club. Turns out I'm not the only one who goes through chocolate like it's going out of fashion right up until the day before weigh-in. Who'd have thought! 💁🏼‍♀️ I really wanted to pop in to town today and get the @pinchofnom book (this is their recipe by the way) but being around masses of people right now feels like a massive no, as does being anywhere near my old haunts... A bit of a naughty day, but I don’t think I went too far over my calorie allowance, despite how much I had. I learnt some interesting calorie tid bits today! Breakfast was 3 dates, again, not pictured (just short of 200 cal). Over the day I had two packs of my little 80 cal lentil snacks (160 cal). Lunch was leftover sweet potato bolognaise with about a tbsp of light tasty cheese (4-500 cal). I caved a bit in the afternoon- I had a training session for work where the trainers brought SNAX, and I was powerless 😭. I had half of the caramel doughnut with the little balls, but I was SHOCKED to discover that a whole caramel stuffed donut is only approx 330 cal, meaning that my slip up (around 175 cal) was worth less than the dates I had for breakfast! An interesting lesson, but still, I felt shitty after the doughnut... so I still think I’d choose the dates? After work I wanted a snack and I had this pack of creme brûlée almonds (180cal and SO YUMMY😍), and I also had the remaining 2 serves of rosé from my 3 pk I bought yesterday (350 or so cal). Dinner... I had a big old tbone and roast veg and rocket with balsamic (about 700 cal I would say). I think all in all I may have gone sliiightly over, but I had a good day (I got some good news at work today AND I broke a number on the scales I’ve been waiting to break for a while!) so, tomorrow I’ll make up for it and limit my calories... To the people who messaged me after my last post saying “I bet you weren’t a former fat kid”. Oh I was. I don’t eat or drink anything differently then I did back 12 years ago. I just became a little more mindful and knowledgeable on the amount I eat and move. I still have days where I drink and eat like a total knob but I just know how to balance my life around those phases. Voila.
