Which is better cardio or resistance training? • Well it depends on what you are trying to do. In short for the general population who are trying to lose body fat, both should be included into your training plan. • While both help you burn more calories, each one has different benefits and hit fat loss from different angles. • Cardio will definitely help you burn more calories since you are adding in more movement than you would in your normal day to day activities. Focusing solely on cardio will help you lose weight, but you will plateau after some time, most likely, if you don’t add in resistance training. • To make sure you keep your fat loss moving in the right direction, include resistance training into your routine. By resistance training, you provide a stimulus to your muscles. When a stimulus is provided to your muscles, the body naturally will want to hold on to the muscle so it can handle the stimulus you are giving it. • Now when we can hold on to more muscle and drop body fat, we will start burning more calories throughout the day which leads to better fat loss. • So again, both cardio and resistance training are important to fat loss and both need to be done. • #resistance #cardio #fatloss #muscle

Just because you have a cheat meal programmed into you diet plan, doesn’t mean you can go off the deep end with it! ... This week it was simply nachos and some honeycombs cereal as my cheat meal! This is something that I can easily track how many calories I get from the whole cheat meal and then add it into my macro counts for the week because guess what...these calories aren’t magical ones that don’t count! If you’re trying to cut like I am right now, you still have to stay in a calorie deficit for the week and that means keeping track of things like your cheat meals!
