After hours, and hours of baking with the kids today I turned on the Donna Reed Show to the Christmas episode. Donna is hanging up Christmas cards when the phone rings, she answers and gives an address to the friend who seems to be telling Donna she’s tired from the Christmas prep. Donna replies “well, hold on for your family you can collapse tomorrow.” I loved it because I was/am exhausted, but these holiday moments are important to kids, and us! They take that bond, we already have, up a level. It shows children the importance of tradition, family, and faith. So, while you’re tired I encourage you to keep going. Your family appreciates it! When they are grown up with kids of their own, and you watch them pass on the traditions; as well as making their own. You’ll feel proud of yourself you kept it together even when you didn’t want too. #homemaker #housewife #tradition #traditionalwife #traditionalmother #tradwifelife #advent #catholicwife #romancatholicchurch #catholicfamily #catholictradition

I can drink a cup of coffee at 9pm and have no issue falling asleep at 9:30pm. It does nothing for me. (Other than feed my addiction to French vanilla creamer) - - Yellow coffee.. now that’s a different story. Has me wound up like the energizer bunny. (Right @kerrybriscoe_fitpt?)

Hear me and understand well... that nothing should frighten or grieve you. Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? ~ Our Lady of Guadalupe to St Juan Diego, December 12th • Necklace: @thelittlecatholic_ Headband pattern: @tiedyediva Fabric: @studio_senn for @spoonflower . . . #ourladyofguadalupe #feastofourladyofguadalupe #catholicsofinstagram #catholicblogger #catholicmom #catholicfaith

Happy and Blessed Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! 🙏 . . "Know for certain, dearest of my sons, that I am the perfect and perpetual Virgin Mary, Mother of the True God, through whom everything lives, the Lord of all things who is Master of heaven and earth." ~Apparition of Our Lady to Saint Juan Diego

My Queen and my Mother, I give myself entirely to you, and to show my devotion to you I consecrate to you this day my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my whole being without reserve. Therefore, good Mother, as I am your own, keep me, guard me, as your property and possession. Amen. Happy Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! This is the simple, daily consecration prayer that we pray as a family during our Morning Prayer time, along with the Morning Offering, the Collect of the day, and 15 minutes of prayer/spiritual reading. At Tepeyac she asks, “Am I not here? I, who am your Mother?” And so daily, we make this brief consecration mostly to remind ourselves that all of the graces we receive throughout the day come from our Little Mother, and that we can be in no better position than to belong to her entirely; to give her every pain, every worry, every small work, every joy. Our Lady of Guadalupe, keep us and pray for us! #ourladyofguadalupe

She wants to be acknowledged as our mother, “Am I not your mother”. Christ says , “here is your mother”. The Gospel tells us to “honor your mother” 💕 . Our Lady of Gaudalupe, our mother, pray for us 🙏

Happy feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe 🌹 . . “...God always chooses the people the world rejects,” she said. “The Lady of Guadalupe also offered a different brand of faith... ‘If you love me, trust me and believe in me, I will respond.’” -NBCnews . .

CHOSEN | The reflection this morning from @blessedisshe__’s Advent Journal hit my heart deeply and forced me to face the questions rattling around in my head and heart for a few weeks. ___ * What if I’m not chosen? * What if I’m just too much? * Am I enough? * What do I have to say that really matters? * Can I do this? ___ I think we’ve all had these questions, these doubts come up at different times and in different seasons. For me, it’s navigating changes, running @managingyourfertility, and total surrender as I figure out next steps in my work. And, this morning, I realized just how much I’ve been letting the enemy speak these lies and I’ve actually entertained them and tried to answer the questions in my own, worldly way. Turns out, when we try to answer questions from old red legs, we get more confused and discouraged ‼️ NO THANK YOU!! I’m turning my heart to Christ and asking Him to speak LIFE & LIGHT into my heart and to remind me that I am chosen, I am not too much, my voice matters, and I can do all things He calls me to because His grace IS sufficient for me. ___ Advent is a beautiful time of healing, renewal, and humility. Let’s walk with Mary, who knew her dignity in God no matter the challenges, the harsh words spoken, the denial of what she shared of the babe in her womb. Mary knew God spoke TRUTH over her life and that she was chosen and it gave her courage to live in abundance & say “yes”. 💙 I want that - and I know you do, too! Let’s journey together to the manger and invite God in this season.

With less than four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, our schedule is pretty full. I have many things that I have to do, and even more things that I want to do, and somehow, I have to keep the #ChristmasSpirit going in all of it.⁣ ⁣ I realized early that I needed to change my perspective a bit. I needed look at all the things I was doing and figure out HOW to do them. Like I’ve been saying, we need to bring Jesus with us, not leave Him for when we’ve finished everything.⁣ ⁣ This year, at my husband’s company party, my “how-to” was to discover people’s stories – what they enjoyed, what inspired them, what challenged them, whatever.⁣ ⁣ It’s not that I don’t usually enjoy the party each year, but this year, it was much different. There was treasure to be discovered, and it was so much fun to be on the hunt!⁣ ⁣ What are some of your “have-to” items, and what will be your “how-to?”⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #karenmay #amayzinggraces

“Rest” day from my end of year program means a solo workout for me trying out day 1 of a new program during VIP early release!!! 🙌 Holy moly I’m feeling the burn in my legs and booty!!!! 😱 It’s fun to try new things, even if it’s not always your thing! I’m uncoordinated, and definitely not a dancer, so if I can do this with a smile in my face and perhaps a little laughter, you can do this too!!! 🙌 Get outside your comfort zone! This is where you will see growth and change happening...in mind, body and spirit! 💪💕👊 I’m ready for 2020 and to take in this program too...are you willing to join me?! 🤔 Heck yes you are!!! Comment below or send me a message! Let’s do this together and take in 2020 strong!!! 💪💕👊 #2020Strong #SayYEStoYOU #FAITHfullyFIT #AutoimmuneWarrior

One of my favorite things about praying morning prayer is the way that the same scriptures speak different words to my heart in different seasons. When I first began the practice, I thought the repetition would be boring. How wrong I was! Each psalm, each canticle, contains a message for my heart each day. They help me grow, they mold and shape me anew each morning. Today, this was the verse that jumped off the page at me. A reminder to muse on the wonders of the Lord, rather than getting bogged down in my own work and troubles. Is it any wonder that the first wonder I am pondering is the gift that is Scripture? #goalsfortheday #bissisterhood #catholicmom #catholicwriter #catholicwife #domesticchurch #morningprayer #liturgyofthehours #praythepsalms

In this week's episode, Nicole and Tara had not one - but TWO wonderful guests, Gabriel Wanous and Chris Nolin with WorshipNOW Publishing company! . Over the summer Nicole met these two at the National Association of Pastoral Musician's (NPM) annual conference  that was sponsored by WorshipNOW. The event featured several christian artists, including  well-known Matt Maher! WorshipNOW is a new Catholic music publisher that was created with the intention to help parishes integrate modern worship music into their liturgies through hymnals, custom arrangements, digital downloads, music planning, and training - all of which has been approved by the Church for liturgical use! Nicole and Tara had a great conversation with these gentleman learning about their backgrounds working in their respective parish’s music ministries and leading up to the start of this company. They both left successful careers within the secular career force to pursue this passion full time! . Check out their newly launched website for more resources and be sure to follow WorshipNOW on social media! https://worshipnowpublishing.com/ Facebook & Instagram: @Worshipnowpublishing
