Making your own jam is quick & easy. So much healthier and so tasty. It’s a fav with the kids! 🌱 Recipe below ⬇️ : Chia Sees Jam 2 cups berries (I used frozen 🍓) 3 tbsp chia seeds 3 tbsp maple syrup In a sauce pan, heat berries until soft and mashable. Remove from heat and mash with a potato masher. Add chia seeds and maple syrup and stir. Let cool before serving. Store in a glass container in the fridge for about 4-5 days.

Coconut cream and strawberry chia seed jam!! 🍓🍨 You will want to make this ASAP!! It is a process though. But you should give it a try! Did you know by adding chia seeds to anything with a little liquid it will create a gel? Here's what I did: Took the cream or fat from 3 cans of coconut milk. I put them in the fridge to help it separate. Then I added it to my mixer with about 3 tablespoons of maple syrup. Mix until whipped cream. Place in refrigerator. Take a cup of frozen strawberries and let thaw. When thawed mash up and add 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. Let sit for 10 minutes. Layer the berries and cream! So I can't have much in the way of sweetness at the moment due to having pretty severe gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy for those not in the know), which has meant my sweet tooth has naturally been activated. So today I tried my hand at an easy mixed berry chia seed "jam", which is really seems more like a pudding than jam. This gooey delicious looking mess is the result. When I try it on toast tomorrow morning I'll let you know the oucome! Hopefully it tastes as gooey and delicious as it looks! I have a friend that can’t eat almond flour or eggs, so I tried this recipe with coconut flour, chia seed and flaxseed to replace the eggs, before I share it with her. It Is basically like fathead dough. *Recipe Melt 2 1/2 cups grated mozzarella with 2 oz cream cheese. Mix 1/2 cup coconut flour with 2 tbsp baking powder, 2 tbsp flaxseed and 1 tbsp of chia seeds. Mix all the ingredients together with 2 tbsp of melted butter. My dough wasn’t super sticky and it kind of breaks apart pretty easy, but I managed to divided it into 6 servings and put it in my silicone bagel pan. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes. I want to try this recipe again and add more butter.... and see if it is better, the flavor is good specially with raspberry chia seed jam 😋

Look for a delicious sweet healthy jam for your hot cross buns. You will surprised how quick and easy it is to make your own jam with no sugar or preservatives like most store brought jams. Homemade raspberry Chia Seed Jam: Ingredients: 2 cups of frozen raspberries 2 Tbsp. organic honey 1/4 cup filtered water 4 Tbsp. chia seeds Directions: Place all ingredients except the chia seeds into a high speed blender, process until thick and smooth. Pour mixture into a jam jar and stir in the chia seeds until completely mixed through. Pop on the lid and place in the fridge for up to four hours to set or best overnight. The jam will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks Enjoy x

I’ve been on a big lavender kick lately...this morning I added a little to my steel-cut oats while they simmered and I vinyasa’d it out. Added some bloobs and maple syrup and OMG soooo good!! How much longer until strawberry season !?!? There is nothing more delicious than fresh Ontario strawberries in the summer! ⠀ 🍓 Until then I will have to get by with my bags of frozen strawberries that I can add in my smoothies and make my delicious home made chia seed jam⠀ 🍓 Toast and jam is a go to for me, but unfortunately jam is filled, like fiilllllled with white sugar, which takes away from all the healthy benefits strawberries have to offer. ⠀ 🍓 buuuut, GOOD NEWS I have a delicious, healthy jam recipe for you, and all you need is 3 ingredients! ⠀ 🍓⠀ Ingredients⠀ - 2 cups strawberries, or raspberries or BOTH fresh or frozen ⠀ - ¼ cup maple syrup ( more or less depending on how sweet you like it)⠀ - 2 tablespoons of chia seeds - splash of water 💦 if it seems too thick 🍓 Instructions⠀ - In a medium saucepan, combine the fruit , chia seeds and maple syrup⠀ - Cover and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it begins to liquefy (about 5 minutes) ⠀ - Once the fruit is liquidy, bring it to a gentle boil and let cook until it breaks down and becomes saucy, about 5 minutes. PB&J Energy Bites 😌 . - Medjool Dates 1 cup - Oats 1 cup - Natural Peanut Butter 0.5 cup - Jam 1 tbsp - I used homemade blueberry and raspberry chia seed jam . Freeze 10-12 jam balls for an hour. Soak the dates in hot water for 10-15 minutes, drain. Blend the oats, add the dates and the peanut butter, blend until evenly combined. Form a cookie, place frozen jam in the middle, and seal the dough around it to form a ball. The jam  will then melt inside. Keep these energy bites in the fridge. . . Easy Chia Raspberry Jam I‘m loving this healthy jam! Spread it on toast or dollop it in porridge or a pot of plain Greek yoghurt 😋 Chia seeds are rich in fibre, protein and omega 3s. They absorb liquid creating a jam that is low in sugar 👍 Ingredients 2 cups Raspberries 1 tbsp Lemon juice 1 tbsp Maple syrup 2 tbsp Chia seeds 1. Put the raspberries in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat. Mash with the back of a spoon leaving it as smooth or as lumpy as you like. 2. Take off the heat and add the lemon juice and maple syrup. 3. Stir in the chia seeds. 5. Let stand for 5 minutes until thickened. It won’t thicken to the consistency of regular jam but it will thicken enough to spread on toast. 6. Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. PB&J “Nice” Cream bowl!! It doesn’t look pretty, but damn did it taste good. This pb&j kick I’ve been on just.wont.stop. So my nightly dessert lately has been this, over and over. 1/2 banana, frozen 1c roasted butternut squash, frozen 1 serving pb protein powder (@drinkorgain is my fav!!) I blend with a small amount of water until it becomes like a thick milkshake. You could use milk instead, if preferred. Throw it back in the freezer just to firm up. Then I topped it with @somersaultlife cinnamon sunflower seed bites, @crazyrichardspb crunchy pb, and the rest of my homemade blueberry chia jam. Blueberry Chia Seed Jammmm! My first ever try and it came out amazing 😍 gonna use it everywhere I can! And no refined sugar ❌❌! . . 2 pints (24oz) blueberries in a pan w/ 1/3 cup maple syrup. Bring to a boil and throw in 3 tbsp chia seeds + pinch of sea salt + splash of lemon juice + vanilla beans from half a pod or 1 tsp vanilla (optional). Simmer for about 15 mins on low heat. Allow to fully cool and put into your desired containers. .
