Lateral Kettlebell Snatch 3(10 R/L) - "heavy" I love the anti-rotation element involved with these swings. Lots of transverse adominis involvement and focus to not knee-cap yourself. --- This movement comes on the heels of a diagnosed 70% tear in my left rotator-cuff (suprispinatus). Understandably I was a little nervous getting into the swing. #nutrifact Knowing when to stop. We live in a culture where we're used to eating until we just can't eat any more. Listen to the teachings of Confucius; eat until you're no longer hungry*. --- *hara hachi bu. Meaning, eat until you're 80 percent full. It takes 20 minutes for satiety signals to register that you're 100 percent full. --- That's how long it takes, starting with the stretch receptors in your stomach, to all the hormones in your gastrointestinal tract, to the leptin being produced by your fat cells, for all those things to reach the brain and say, "Enough." --- If you're eating in a mindless way and you're not paying attention, you miss that signal.
