Search out for truth in your life. Factual information is out there! Don't settle and become complacent or a sheeple. We, as humans, seem to love a pretty history. A hero with amazing morals and values. A belief in an organization or human being (s) which would make them infallible. Guess what? Not possible. However, where the fallicies lie is where the truth starts. We cannot take these myths, legends and stories at face value -- passed down and told over and over to us in classes and from manuals. Or, even on how we FEEL. Feelings are fleeting and do NOT mean truth. Many a human has been led to the poorhouse or to injury from feeling that someone has the truth ans the way of life. Sad really. But we are made this way. We have amazing brains. We can do research. We can read from journals, history, essays, philosophy... And draw our own conclusions using logic and reason over emotion. There is the truth of the matter. We must be willing to examine ourselves and our beliefs. We must do the work. We must be humble enough to be wrong and make changes to our thoughts and beliefs and life path. Think on that.

Don't let confirmation bias ruin your thinking. Though I'm pretty happy when I read articles that say the PADI Samurai is a wonderful watch. #seiko #samurai #srpb99 #padi #pepsibezel #watches #wruw #wus #watchesofinstagram #automatic #4r36 #seikosamuraipadi #kindle #confirmationbias

Confirmation Bias🤸‍♀️ . The tendency to search for or interpret information in the way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs, leading to statistical errors🙈 . When people would like a certain idea to be true, they end up believing it to be true. They are motivated by wishful thinking🙋‍♀️ . For example, a person with a low self-esteem is highly sensitive to being ignored by other people, and they constantly monitor for signs that people might not like them☠️ . . . #executionacademy #executioncoach #cognitivebiases #confirmationbias #behaviouraleconomics #selfdevelopment #Productivity #knowyourweakness #knowyourstrenght #knowwhy #findyourwhy #Coaching #Lifecoach #Psychology #knowthethingsyoudo #Don’tgetstuck #besmart #livelife #Passion #purpose #lifestyle

📣IT’S TIME TO GIVE OUR INNER CHEERLEADER A VOICE 📣 via @jaynehardy_ ・・・ If we hold a belief that we're less-than, not enough and good for nothing, then that's what we'll see evidence of, all over the shop. You see, as humans, we're a paradox and then some. We can be simultaneously two things at once; we can make a mistake, fail at something and not be a failure. The more we buy into the inner critic, the more we'll see evidence of it. Not because it's true, but because it's where we're looking. Look for something long enough and you'll find it. Especially if that thing you're looking for is tied to some inherited or inherent beliefs. #confirmationbias But it also means, in its simplest of terms, that if we start looking for the ways in which we're enough, we will find those too. . . . . . #wordsofwellness #cheerleader #gratitude #tuesdaymotivation #MeaningfulMinds #helpingmindsthrive #qotd #quotestoliveby #quoteoftheday #quotestagram #learn #grow #love #help #hope #jaynehardy #selftalk #positiveaffirmations #gratitude #iamenough #bacalm #bekind #beproject 🐝 #mindfulstaff #mindfulstudents #mindfulschools

Do you believe books offer a perspective change? A different outlook on life. I mean they do provide that, but do they shake the foundations of your thoughts? Studies say for 95% of people they dont. Unless its a spiritual conversion and that too emanting from the darkness you have been stumbling around for a long time in, they simply re-inforce your beliefs. Humans have this inbuilt system of validation, where they dont like ideas they arenot practising, everything they read, every stimuli of information they gain, simply reinforces their confirmation bias. They are what they are as the product of the habits they practice day in and day out, they things they persist on in discipline. So books about new and modern ideas dont necessarily change your outlook on life from traditional values, they merely reinforce the rebellious thoughts you held from years on, and it merely provides a channel from which to direct your energy from, as saying stuff like i believe wont work on ideas unless they are preceded by scientists says or x number of stoic philosophers disscussed. #cognition #thoughts #confirmationbias #readbooks #bookstagramitalia #coffeeandbooks #bookstagrammerarg #bookgram #recommendedread #colors #perspective #paradigmchange #science #philosophy #traditions

We have a basic human need to be right. • Whether we realize it or not, we naturally tend to cling tightly to our beliefs and look for information that confirms our beliefs while disavowing information that contradicts them. • This can wreak havoc, however, when we are managing other people because it can prevent us from making accurate and effective judgments and decisions. • Confirmation bias interferes with our ability to gather all sides of an argument, consider all possible points of view, and weigh a situation with a cool, objective mind. • Everyone needs to seek the views of someone who will offer the unvarnished truth about your behavior. • • • • • • #management #entrepreneurship #personaldevelopment #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #bestadvice #businessintelligence #socialpsychology #beliefsystem #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurlife #success #mindset #growthmindset #fixedmindset #overconfidence #selfawareness #statusquo #truth #givemethetruth #confirmationbias #needtoberight #knowitall #conceited #delusional #executivecoach #executivecoaching #businessowner #ceo

. #visualthinking #graphicrecording #visualsummary #scicomm #bias #confirmationbias #echochamber #socialnetwork #socialmedia #science #scienza #internet #fakenews #polarizzazione #questEU #visualscience

Have you seen #Gamechangers? A few thoughts: # One thing I love about the way research is done today is that I can find any study to support my way of thinking. It’s called #confirmationbias. It’s in this movie and others. (I’m not special and prone to this as well.) # It is possible for some to thrive on an exclusively #vegandiet with proper planning, #harrymorton supplementation and hyperfocus on food. However: # In my #practicedbasedevidence of 15+years: extreme veganism works for several months-10 years, then health suffers. I would not recommend this for kids. # All #diets have a honeymoon phase. When we focus on real whole foods, health improves whether there are animal foods or not. # By the way, it's difficult to assess health based on food alone without the context of an individual’s environment & #lifestyle: #sleep, #stress, #light, #sun, #socialsupport, #movement, to say nothing of #genetics, etc. # Check on the health of many vegan athletes…seem to be prone to an increase in injuries. # It is true that #factoryfarming is harmful to humans, animals and the planet. However, this is not a valid argument for veganism. It’s a valid argument against the practices employed in conventional factory farming. # James Cameron (producer of film) owns & invests in a company that produces #gmosoy and peas…the basis of the chemical laden and highly profitable #fakemeat burgers available everywhere. (reminder: #plantbased does not automatically equal good health) # Again, if you’re confused, that is the end game. Figure out how foods make you feel and change accordingly. If you don't know how you feel with or without anything, experiment and get guidance. Be willing to change if your health is suffering. Don’t follow a diet (or movie), create your own. # Be #free from #propaganda #integrativenutrition #grassfedmeat #wholefoods #epigenetics #brainhealth #meat #meatless #retinol #personalizednutrition

🌟 In countless ways, we fuck ourselves. Our brain is constantly looking for an explanation for our problems, and we BLAME those problems on something we don’t think we can control to free ourselves of responsibility. 👀 . 🌟 Psychology explains this concept as “confirmation bias” which illustrates how we tend to process information by looking for and interpreting information that is consistent with our beliefs and mind theories. 🧠 . 🌟 We do this because it’s easy to BLAME than to take RESPONSIBILITY for our actions and thoughts. We tend to take the easy way round because on the other side of the road lies struggle and vulnerability. . 👉🏼 We all have the power to create our own circumstances. 👉🏼 We have the power to take control of what happens to us instead of being in control. 👉🏼 We have the power to take responsibility and change circumstances or (at least) how we think about them. . #foodforthought #problems #solutions #choices #confirmationbias #psychology #wednesdaywisdom #mindset #humanbrain #evidence #strength #lifelessons #stoicism #stoicphilosophy #greekphilosophy #success #failure #change #inspiration #motivation #blame #grow #growthmindset #progress #doit

“All logical arguments can be defeated by the simple refusal to reason logically.” Steven Weinberg. People tend to hear and accept what they want to be true over what actually is. It’s usually not worth wasting time trying to convince them otherwise... In times like these, we have no choice but to accept things we cannot change and focus on things we can. #letgo #focusonyourself #changeyourselfchangetheworld #positivevibes #loveandlogic #personalgrowth #confirmationbias #changeyourthinking

Now.... How do you think this phenomenon looks like when your beliefs are: “I'm unworthy?" . Let's explore this scenario ⬇️ .⁣ What happens when suddenly someone comes into your life and through their actions they tell you that you are actually beyond worthy of love? They treat you like a king / queen. Ughh! feels too weird. Feels fake, uncomfortable, foreign… ⁣ .⁣ And what if, that same week another person comes into your life letting you know that they like you, but they are not sure if you´re worthy. What happens when they make you beg for love? Who are you going to pay attention to? You know who... ⁣ .⁣ So when things end up badly with the second person, you catch yourself saying: “I'm just too hard to love.” ⁣ .⁣ Then I would tell you: What about the person who loved you from the start? Are you really hard to love? Or are you just paying attention to the ones who confirm your beliefs that you are hard to love? Think about it 🤔⁣ .⁣ This is ONE little example of how "confirmation bias" plays into your life. ⁣ .⁣ The thing is, that when you feel shame, this phenomenon is constantly there, showing up with every interaction you have. ⁣ .⁣ So how do you break this pattern? ⁣ - Daring to believe all those contradictory facts that prove you otherwise (That you're worthy!). ⁣ - Daring to feel uncomfortable when people make you feel worthy and allowing them to exist in our life, instead of pushing them away. ⁣ - Daring to like yourself a little bit more than yesterday. ⁣ - Daring to _________⁣ 👇👇👇👇👇⁣ To what? Help me out here!!!!⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #StephanieEssenfeld #TherapyUntangled #facts #beliefs #love #belonging #worthy #confirmationbias #breakingpatterns #hardtolove #daring #daretolive
