So I made a post about how I was giving away some shoes I've barely worn... and someone in particular messaged me (I won't say their name) but that her and her boyfriend had hit tough times barely getting by check to check, having to move back in w/ parents, losing a car, a job etc.. and she sent me a pic of the shoes he had been wearing that had holes everywhere. So I decided to give them a few pairs: I also threw in the gift cards a note, I hid them in one of the shoes. (Gotta make it fun lol ๐Ÿ˜œ)Now they can go out together sometime, figuring they haven't been able to go out in a long time with no extra money. Most importantly I threw in the message to pay it forward when they can. I've had rough times ... and I know what's it like. Monday Motivation!๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’ช On the left is me at 19 years old wearing my first T-Shirt I had designed for my Personal Training business. I think I had 3-5 clients in total. I had a few dollars to my name after purchasing the shirt order (it wasn't a large order either LOL) but I had about a million ideas in my head.. all I really had was what we call 'sweat equity' which is a term we use in business that refers to the creation/building process. It's about doing the hard work to bring an idea to life. On the right is me at 25, I now have over 50 different clients excluding online clients, I've designed a lot of apparel, and have been in the position to donate to lots of different charities, everything from purchasing a car for a weight loss challenge winner to purchasing my own hole at a golf course for Alzheimer's Awareness. None of this is meant to come off as bragging but simply an example of the EVOLUTION of something that started off as just an idea. Don't let your ideas go to the graveyard, bring them to life. I'm now figuring out the next calculated risk to take w/ my company and am excited to see it evolve into something much more. #DaleyFitness

Teaching two classes of Grit Cardio 22 followed by one Bodypump 103 this morning got me like...in need of every Snapchat filter going to disguise the sweaty wreckage left behind! I was up super early to teach Cardio to the lovely Grit crew at Daleyfitness in Putney where Kevin and the gang smashed the new moves including those tough jumping switch climbers and Vicki did the best chimp walk I've ever seen!! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ‘Then onto Nuffield Bloomsbury covering for Gil Cruz where I put the members through their paces with another session of Grit Cardio followed by 45 minutes of Bodypump 103! Been doing this stuff for almost 5 years now.. it's exhausting. Not an exciting life when you're in the building phase of entrepreneurship all I do is work, eat, sleep, train and ALWAYS put my clients first. I've been second for a long, long time. It will all pay off but before it does you will have stressful days, sleepless nights, empty pockets and be screwed over countless times because everyone will think their is no stress on your end. LISS stands for Low Intensity Steady State cardio. As its name suggests, it is any form of low intensity cardio where you maintain the same pace for a set period of time. . Although the benefits may not be the same as HIIT, LISS is still a worthwhile addition to your workout routine. . Here is why: โ€ข It Builds Fitness Levels If you are looking to build up your fitness or havenโ€™t exercised in a while, LISS is a great way to do this! Not only is it simple to do, but it is an easy addition to your exercise routine. This is because LISS generally does not place a lot of strain on your body, meaning it may be done several times per week. โ€ข It Is Easy To Stick With If you donโ€™t like doing high intensity cardio such as HIIT, then LISS is a great way to exercise because it is easy to stick to. I prefer to complete my LISS outside by taking the dogs for a walk or listening to some music, which makes it super relaxing and enjoyable. If you donโ€™t think about it as a chore or something you absolutely HAVE to do, you will be surprised at how much you want to do it. โ€ข It Is Great For Recovery If you have had a few tough training sessions during the week, adding in another HIIT or resistance session may not be the best idea for your body. Exactly 2 years ago I was competing on the other side of The U.S and hanging w/ Jay Cutler. Even though I have stepped my focus away from competing and more towards the business side of things; I still plan to be relative in the 2018 NPC season. Remember guys... when those stage lights go out you have to have a plan, I'll still be very relevant in the Fitness Industry in 10 years, will you? Competing ISN'T everything if you're trying to 'make it' in this industry. Vegan Lemon Tarts ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‹๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‹ by // @thebarefoothousewife INGREDIENTS; โ€ข 2cups raw almonds โ€ข 2cups pitted dates โ€ข 1cup shredded coconut โ€ข 1cup freshly squeezed lemon juice โ€ข 1.5cups full fat coconut cream โ€ข 1/3cup rice malt syrup โ€ข 1tbsp lemon zest โ€ข 1tsp powdered agar agar โ€ข Pinch of turmeric . INSTRUCTIONS; โ€ข Pulse all the ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor until mixture sticks together. Try not to over blend, there should still be some texture from the almonds. โ€ข Press mixture evenly into mini tart tins approx 8cm. โ€ข Chill in the fridge while you make the filling. โ€ข Gently heat all the ingredients, except the agar agar in a small pot on low heat. โ€ข Once heated through whisk in the agar agar. โ€ข Bring mixture to the boil, reduce heat & simmer for a few minutes. โ€ข Allow the mixture to cool a little. โ€ข Pour into bases & chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. โ€ข Decorate with fruit or edible flowers. โ€ข Best consumed straight from the fridge. โ€ข Makes approx. 10 tarts 8cm in diameter.

Raw Matcha, Lime & Vanilla Cupcake Recipe ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŒธ by // @elsas_wholesomelife INGREDIENTS; โ€ข 1cup raw almonds โ€ข 1/2cup buckwheat โ€ข 5 medjool dates โ€ข 1/4cup cacao powder โ€ข 4cups of raw cashews โ€ข 6tbsp maple syrup โ€ข 1/2cup almond milk โ€ข 1/2cup coconut oil โ€ข 1tsp vanilla powder โ€ข 2tbsp matcha powder โ€ข juice of 1 lime . INSTRUCTIONS; โ€ข Start by making the base. Blend the almonds and buckwheat, add the dates and cacao powder and blend again. Transfer to a bowl, add 1 tbsp of warm water and massage into mixture. Mix well until mixture sticks together like a bliss ball mix. Seperate amongst 10 cupcake moulds and press firmly. โ€ข Place the moulds in the fridge or freezer while you make the next layer. Blend the cashews (drained), maple syrup, vanilla powder and almond milk until smooth and creamy, add the coconut oil and blend again. Spoon mixture across the cupcake moulds, smooth out flat. Place moulds in the freezer to set. To make the matcha lime layer, add the cashews (drained), maple syrup, almond milk and lime juice. Once smooth, add the matcha powder and coconut oil and blend again. Scoop mixture into a piping bag fitted with a wide/large nozzle. โ€ข Place mixture in piping bag in a bowl and in the fridge to set for at least 4 hrs. Remove cakes from the freezer, pipe the matcha layer to create a big swirl on top of each cake, return to the freezer to set overnight. โ€ข Dust with extra matcha powder and decorate with lime slices and flower petals.

Yesterday's Retail Therapy @massivejoes . . As promised! A few weeks ago I posted that I did the coolest thing I've ever done in my life thus far which was rewarding my weight loss challenge winner this year a car! Eric who's 18 years old didn't have a vehicle of his own yet and was walking everywhere so I asked him what he would do with the prize money which was to be $600.00 he said he would save it for a car so I bought him a car instead! Seeing his reaction was the coolest thing I've ever experienced. I'm so blessed to be able to do things like this โค๏ธ congratulations Eric you deserve it.
