Whether it’s relationship choices or destructive ways we try to cope with and escape our reality...Today I reflected on the choices I made 10 years ago out of the dysfunctional thought patterns I’d adopted from my environment. I thought about hitting rick bottom, the deconstructing of my life and the unbecoming that had to take place before I was able to rebuild new ways of thinking and understanding so that I could actually start a new cycle that would produce healthier choices with healthier outcomes and true progress in my life. I’m not perfect, but I am so grateful that God carries us through the evolution who we’re becoming, of who He always called us to be.

Christmas is coming. Can you believe how fast this year went? Now, heading in to holidays, remember to take care of yourself more than ever. || Does that mean good sleep habits, eating well, staying in touch with supports, staying moderate with caffeine and alcohol and taking time out for yourself. || Make yourself as important as the star on your christmas tree!! And that is where your power is. We often can’t control our circumstances. Life happens to all of us…good things and bad things….that’s just the nature of it.. It is what it is We have our ups and our downs, our good times and our not so good times The way to get through it is to control how we respond to the ups and downs. We can choose to be miserable, to think poor me, why me, is it ever going to end or we can choose to thing that it’s just a moment in time, things will eventually get better (they usually do) and try our best to find solution, to talk about it to others, to ask for help if we need it. The first way is always the easier way out. The second one takes courage and strength and perseverance. In order to have the energy to follow the second one you have to manage your mood by making sure you balance your blood sugar, by getting enough nutrients to support mood balance, by exercising, reducing stress, practicing mindfulnesss and you need to cultivate a support system to support you when your down. Yes it takes work to support good mood balance but it is worth it in the end

✨MINDSET IS EVERYTHING✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌸Ever notice how when you’re in a negative mood, your day tends to go all wrong? This is the LAW OF ATTRACTION 🌸In order to attract what you want in life, you need to learn to manifest it. This doesnt solely rely on your thoughts... you could practice this through vision boards, journaling about it, even create a Pinterest account and find inspiration for you to hope for! 🌸A positive mind leads to a positive life ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mentalhealthblogger #recoverysayings #mentalhealthsupport #bodyimage #depressionandanxiety #depressionsupport #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthquotes #mentalhealthrecovery #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthadvocate #mentalhealthblogger #selfreminder #motivationalquotes #anxietyrelief #anxietyfighter #anxietyhelp #anxietysupport #ocdrecovery #recoveryquotes #mentalhealthmatters #whatmentalhealthfeelslike

Music can impact our mood within seconds. It’s so effective that researchers use it frequently to induce certain mood states. If you’re trying to work on improving your mood regulation skills, see if you can become more mindful of the music you listen to. . Do you have a melancholy playlist that you turn to when you feel lonely or sad? Do you listen to aggressive music and recount the ways you’ve been wronged? Do you listen to lyrics that tell the same old stories of heartache? . While we can tolerate a range of music and a range of emotions, there are times when it helps to be more deliberate about our choices. . If you’re experiencing intense emotions, it’s usually best to listen to instrumental music that’s pleasant and calm rather than lyrical music. If you’re feeling unmotivated and lethargic, it could help to listen to some upbeat music. If you’re trying to change old patterns and the music you listen to is triggering the same old internal stories and movies, try something new. Experiment and see what works for you. 🎶 . #musicandpsychology #dbtskills #dbt #dbttherapy #emotionregulation #emotionalhealth #emotionalwellness #emotionalwellbeing #anxietyrecovery #anxietysupport #depressionsupport #depressionrelief #depressionandanxiety #traumarecovery #traumahealing
