Tracking Macros VS Calories Only🤔 _ 🔪Example: 🔹2 people in a calorie deficit 🔹1 person tracks calories only 🔹1 person tracks calories + macros 🤔WTF is the difference? _ ✅Tracking macros allows you to manipulate your body composition much more precisely. There is a difference between "weight loss" and "fat loss". The ultimate goal is retain the hard earned muscle you gained while shredding fat. If you consume enough protein in your diet while in a caloric deficit, you will retain muscle mass. ❌If you eat in a caloric deficit without consuming enough protein in your diet, you will lose fat along with muscle tissue. Resulting in looking like your average Joe. _ 🤔HOWEVER. You can still look lean and muscular if you simply ensure you are eating a balanced diet; consuming a variety of protein sources while in a caloric deficit. _ 👨🏻My homie @teamfitpak doesn't track macros but he's still an aesthetic god.

Daily reminder that TIME AND CONSISTENCY, not a specific workout program, or any supplement is what you should be focusing on in order to improve your fitness level. Also, to not get hung up on the day to day changes (especially in your appearance). I remember initially feeling self-conscious of this picture after downloading it off of the camera because the picture quality was so clear and you could see every detail of my acne. I was coming out of a deficit so my hormones were going wacky trying to come back to baseline, and I had a breakout. My skin doesn’t break out nearly as badly now that I’ve fully transitioned out of being in an extended caloric deficit (6 months), but I’m empathetic to being insecure about skin because of my own experiences. - I am confident in my own skin now because I choose to be. I take all the necessary steps to care for my body - skin included - from the inside and on the outside, so that I know I am giving myself the proper self-care. This allows me to also monitor what causes any breakouts so that I can treat them and prevent them appropriately. When I do break out, I choose to not let it bother me. I am objective and realistic about it - I can treat it, it’s temporary and will go away, it doesn’t affect my worth or happiness - and I move on. Stress makes acne worse, so I choose to do everything I can to manage my stress and keep it to a minimum 🙏🏽 stressing over a breakout will only make it worse!! Too many people underestimate the impact that stress has on our bodies - mental health is incredibly important! What are your fitness goals for 2018? Tell me in the comments below! . As you get better, goals will constantly get more satisfying as you complete them. 🤩 . This is my current physique. I fluctuate between 175-178lb. As of August of last year, I've been "bulking". I will probably not go through a fat loss or a “cut” phase this year. I plan on competing in 2020. . My goal is to add size at about 0.25-0.5lb per month, and build strength on the squat, bench, deadlift and overhead pressing. These exercises have contributed to most of my results these past few months. . When you become a more advanced lifter (this is me six years of training), you need to manipulate all sorts of reps, volume, etc. Especially when you don’t use any Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs). . . (I’m sure people would want to hear what my take on PEDs are: It’s your personal decision, but don’t lie about it and post "100% natural" in your bio when you look like Broly, or Bane venom-induced. 😂) . . My fitness goals are constantly changing and evolving as I get older. I’m not trying to get as big as possible anymore. No more bulking then cutting. My main goal now is maintaining a lean, healthy, muscular physique while continuing to train with high intensity. . . I’m amazed at how many health & fitness trainers and “experts” don’t follow a healthy lifestyle at all. Regimens full of steroids, junk food and putting on pounds of body-fat for the sake of “getting big” doesn’t represent what I would consider health & fitness. . Slowly working my legs back to where I left off after a slight hamstring and quad injury.. - The competitive side of me wants to continually push, push, push, but I know with strategical and gradual overload - progression will be made.. - For those that always go 100%, balls to the wall .. less is sometimes more. More is sometimes less. And vice versa... - Training isn’t complicated.
