HOLIDAY NUTRITION PT.2 ⠀ Over the course of the holidays, one word comes to mind. ⠀ “Practice”. ⠀ What do you mean by “practice”? ⠀ Just like within training, you practice movements, repetitions, and sets each day/week. ⠀ The same applies to dietary habits. ⠀ What are you “practicing” throughout the year? ⠀ You know, the other 10- 11 months of the year before the holiday season comes. ⠀ Naturally, over 50% of the general population resides in a natural calorie deficit each year. A deficit that induces restriction of not just energy intake, but enjoyment from a variety of foods. ⠀ Now, when applying that same restrictive mindset with a suppressed metabolism, of course any holiday WILL make a human nervous. ⠀ When a human finally has access to multiple venues of food instead of the usual five “clean” options, anxiety rises exponentially. ⠀ “What if I go over my calories?”. “How many carbs are in this?”. “I have to train 2 hours tomorrow cause of what I just ate”. ⠀ Just. Stop. It. ⠀ Naturally, there is more than one way to lose fat, gain muscle, recompose, and improve body composition without tracking calories/food. ⠀ However, the holidays is NOT/NEVER the time to instill these habits. ⠀ What the holidays ARE for is practice. ⠀ Practicing to eat the cookies. Practicing to eat at different times. Practicing to build upon the relationships you have already. ⠀ In retrospect, the holidays do NOT have to be fearful or an anxiety filled experience. ⠀ If anything, this should be the easiest part of the year for many. ⠀ Just a matter of how much you have “practiced” beforehand. ⠀ #DBASAIDSO ⠀ 🔺Different Breed Athletics🔺

And now I'm 39 and shit just keeps getting worse. Mentally I'm still the same as I was 20 years ago, probably longer. Except I dont have drugs or alcohol to fall back on anymore so I have to face the shitstorm that is my brain every single day. And it's a lonely old life when you have all this crap. And you don't have the time for people's bullshit either. Been there done that a zillion times before. And I don't care if you or yours don't like me, i dont like your ungrateful arses either.

Are you facing something so big it seems impossible to overcome? In times like this, I find it helpful to look to the examples of people around me who have experienced miracles and have had victories in areas where I am currently struggling. ⁣ ⁣ So I am believing for you today if you need any healing in your mind from anxieties, depressive moods, self-worth issues, learning difficulties, disordered eating and all of the battles that wear you down mentally on a daily basis. ⁣ ⁣ If you are in need of a car or job, a support system, mentors, new open doors, a complete makeover of your mind, body and spirit 💄💋💜, inner-peace or a totally fresh start🦋⁣ ⁣ I know these things are 100% possible for you because these are places I’ve experienced either concrete answered prayers or in some areas at the very least, ongoing & radical improvement in my own life. ⁣ ⁣ Something cool too is that all the pressure to fix/figure every single thing out isn’t actually even on us. If it seems like there’s no way out, we can just straight up ask God to help us to believe even when we don’t. Like the man in Mark 9:24 said to Jesus:⁣ ⁣ “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief.” ⁣ ⁣ To me that’s powerful. We don’t have to feel overwhelmed by our own doubts, fears and circumstances no matter how things look on the surface. Since God himself invented faith and wants us to have it, it only makes sense that He doesn’t expect us to generate it all by ourselves; instead He is able to distribute it freely and if we ask for more of it He can give it to us. ⁣ Sometimes healing and answers come in a one-and-done-instant results type of way but often I feel like it’s more of a path of ongoing opportunities for growth that when relentlessly pursued blossom into a totally new reality.⁣ ⁣ You’re welcome to piggyback off my faith that things can radically change for you 🐷✨ you are seen and loved and please believe that whatever you’re going through, better days are ahead for you too✨
