✨Simple Granola Recipe!✨ this has been my go-to granola recipe for as long as I can remember! I literally use it for everything- yogurt and smoothie bowls especially!! ・ 4 cups of oats 3/4 cup pure maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup coconut oil Anything else you want to add! ・ Mix in a large bowl until well combined. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and cook at 250 for an hour, stirring every 20 minutes! If you want it a bit crunchier, turn the heat up to 350 for an extra 10 minutes!! Let it cool completely then enjoy! Store in an airtight container 😊


Happy hump day everyone!! 🐪✨ popping on here to bring you the fudgiest, thickest, and healthiest brownies I’ve ever made! and... they just happen to be black bean brownies! 😱 These would be so fun to make for Memorial Day or really any day, here’s the recipe:👇🏼 ・ 1 15-ounce can of black beans, drained & rinsed 3 large eggs 3/4 cup organic cane sugar (or regular sugar if you don’t have that!) 1/4 cup coconut oil 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup chocolate chips ・ Preheat the oven to 350F and grease an 8X8 baking dish. Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour and scrape the batter evenly into the greased dish. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean. Cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy! 😊

CHOCOLATE SWIRL BANANA BREAD!🍫🍌🍞 If you follow my stories, you know I’ve been hinting at this recipe for a while now... AND IT’S FINALLY HERE! 🥳🤩 ・ Anybody else getting a bit tired of normal banana bread? Yeah? Me too. But this loaf isn’t boring at all and it’s packed with healthy ingredients that taste amazing!! My inspo was a recipe by @chloe.foods but I changed it up just a bit! ☺️ ・ 1 3/4 unbleached all purpose flour 2/3 cup coconut sugar (or granulated sugar) 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt 3 very brown, mashed bananas 1/2 cup melted coconut oil 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup cocoa powder 1/4 cup almond milk ・ Preheat oven to 350F. Mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Separate evenly into two bowls. (I just used the two I was previously using!) In one of the bowls, mix the cocoa powder and almond milk. Alternating between batters, pour into a greased loaf pan and swirl it around with a knife. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean. Serve and enjoy! 😋


big ole smoothie bowl comin at ya! 🤪 getting all the summer vibes from this and I’m here for it! 🤩🌈 ・ I want to share a Bible verse with y’all that I really love and might bring you some encouragement! It comes from Hebrews 11:1. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” The second part of this really sticks out to me... “assurance about what we do not see.” Read that again. We can’t predict the future, especially in this uncertain time, but we CAN put our faith in the one thing that never fails- God- and rest in the fact that He’s got this. It may seem like everything is being cancelled or ruined but some things are never cancelled. The word of God is never cancelled. His promises to give us strength and hope are never cancelled. His enduring love for you is never cancelled. Isaiah 40:8 puts it perfectly: “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” I can assure you that if you have faith, REAL faith, like the one described in Hebrews 11:1, He will bring you peace and that is the greatest gift you could ever receive! A few weeks ago I pulled my hamstring so I haven’t been able to train legs. It’s almost healed but I started to get discouraged only training arms and my nutrition hasn’t been as good as it could be. Yesterday I focused on reeling it back in and really disciplining myself and I already feel 100x better! I have big goals for myself and I know slacking won’t get me there. This is your reminder that not everyday will be perfect AND THAT’S OKAY!! With that being said though, there’s no need to wait until Monday, the start of a new week, or even year to crush your goals. There’s no “good” time to start. Just start now, I promise you won’t regret it 😉 ・ Okay now for what you are all here for 😌👇🏼 1/2 cup of pancake mix (I used a gluten free one I found in our pantry 😂) 1 scoop of protein powder (@bowmarnutrition protein French toast is my favorite!) 1 egg white 1 tsp water 1/3 cup milk of choice ・ Mix all the ingredients together and make on a greased pan as you would normal pancakes, just make a bunch of tiny ones!! I topped mine with some mini chocolate chips and pure maple syrup! 🥞🍫

Combine the water and oil in a separate bowl. Add the oil/water mixture into the dry mixture to form a dough. Spread out quite thin on a greased baking sheet or pizza pan... the crust will rise, I promise! Then add your toppings! I topped mine with marinara, mozzarella cheese, spinach + arugula, onions, green peppers, chicken, and lots of seasonings! Bake for 15 minutes at 400F. Enjoy! 😊


After two long days of studying I just crave some simple comfort food: one of my favourites in this period is PAPPA AL POMODORO 🍅😋 This is typical in Tuscany. Here is the procedure: - In a saucepan, heat some olive oil with a diced onion for around 5 minutes - add tomato sauce, fresh basil, salt and sliced of firm bread (at least 2-3 days old) - cook for at least 20 minutes - serve with drizzled olive oil and fresh basil - Enjoy! 🎉 . ✨ APPLE PIE OATS! ✨ I kind of forgot what it was like to make overnight oats haha ☺️ but these didn’t let me down! It’s finally feeling sunny here in Michigan which makes everything 10x better! I hope everyone is having an amazing Wednesday! Let’s make it a good one!! ・ 1/2 cup oats 1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk) 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (I used @siggisdairy) 2 tsp maple syrup 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp cinnamon ・ Stir well and leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, I heated mine up and topped with warm cinnamon apples (made with coconut oil and a dash of vanilla), maple syrup, peanut butter, and of course, all the cinnamon! 🍎🥧😋


HOMEMADE BAGELS 🥯✨ just in case you haven’t seen enough of this trend :) the recipe is below, but I encourage you to read the rest of this caption, it’s an important one! ・ I posted something on my story last night relating to something I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot of and I just wanted to touch on it a bit more in depth here. I’ve seen a great community that’s come together during this quarantine in terms of nutrition and workouts. Yet, I feel like I see many people doing 2+ workouts a day or working out for 1 1/2-2 hours. Now, if this is what you feel is best then by all means, please do that, but I want to let you in on a little secret 🤫 you don’t have to be working out for that long to see results!! Be intentional!! Me, along with many fitness professionals that I follow and trust, choose to workout for no more than an hour. Heck, for my HIIT days, it’s usually only 30-40 minutes!! AND I STILL SEE RESULTS. Your body needs to be able to recover from every workout and I promise you, I’ve learned from experience, when you over train, you will see less progress because your body is in survival mode. Again, if what you are doing works for you, then please continue to do it, this is just for all the people struggling, with home workouts especially! ・ Bagel #dEATS - mix 1 cup flour, 1 tsp salt, and 2 tsp baking powder in a bowl. Fold in 1 cup of Greek yogurt. Shape the dough into bagel forms on a floured surface. Brush the tops with an egg white and season. I used EBTB seasoning! Then place on a greasing baking sheet and bake on 375 for 25 minutes or until golden!! Enjoy! 🥯😋


Strawberry Cheesecake!! ✨🍓 Over on @sunny.sweet.potatoes page I’ve been seeing the most delicious looking cheesecakes so I had to make one for myself!! Nothing “healthy” about it (except maybe the strawberries haha) but THAT’S OKAY!! ・ 2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 eggs 1 graham cracker crust ・ 1 package of strawberries 3 Tbsp sugar ・ Heat the oven to 325. Beat the cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar with a mixer until well blended. Add in the eggs, mixing until just combined. Pour into the crust and bake for 40 minutes or until the center is almost set. Cool for three hours in the refrigerator. ・ While the cheesecake is baking, combine the strawberries and sugar. Let them sit until the cheesecake is done cooling then add to the top and enjoy!! 😋


Mint Chocolate Brownie Bites!! ✨🍫 these were so fun to make and they are DELICIOUS, especially if you’re a chocolate person! They were inspired by some goodies that a few of my friends made for me and they were gone within a day! 😔 they are not “healthified” (I don’t think that’s even a word but you get the point 😂) in any way but THEY ARE WORTH IT! It’s called balance and moderation haha! I just posted a step by step “tutorial” on my story if you want to check it out but as always, the recipe is below! ・ Rough recipe: 1 batch of brownies, prepared 1-2 cups of chocolate chips (I didn’t measure mine, sorry!) 2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil or mint extract Any topping you want- I chose sprinkles! ・ Using a cookie scooper or spoon, scoop the brownies into little bite-sized balls. Melt your chocolate in a saucepan over low heat (this will burn easily so stir continuously!). Add the peppermint essential oil or mint extract. Stir well. Fully coat each brownie bite in the chocolate and place on a lined baking sheet. While the chocolate is still melted, add whatever toppings you want. Then, refrigerate for at least an hour or until the chocolate has hardened. Enjoy!! 😋


✨ Pumpkin Pie Oats! ✨ Getting all the fall vibes from this, but I’m not mad about it one bit ☺️ if you saw my post from a little bit ago, I made some pumpkin cookies but I had some leftover pumpkin purée so this is how I decided to use it :) ・ #whatsinmybowl - oats made with pumpkin pie spice (+ whatever you usually add to your oats) topped with @siggisdairy yogurt, pumpkin purée (be careful not to add too much because it can definitely be overpowering!), a pumpkin cookie 🙊, and all the cinnamon!!


Happy Cinco de Mayo! 💃 To celebrate I made a Mexican dish with a twist! Sweet Potato Nachos! I don’t think it gets much better than this. Most people don’t actually know why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated: it’s the day when the Mexican Army defeated French forces... Okay that’s my boring history lesson for the day 😂, now on to #whatsonmyplate 👇🏼 ・ Cooked sweet potato slices for the chips, ground beef, black beans, queso cheese, lettuce, avocado, salsa, black olives, and a little bit of sour cream! 😋 (ps thanks @balancedmaddie for the idea!)


Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts!! ✨ I just couldn’t wait any longer to hop on the pop tart trend and let me tell ya, I’m disappointed I didn’t sooner! 😔 ・ I came up with the filling and frosting recipe but the dough is actually just a pie crust that needed to be used up! Probably not the healthiest option I could have chosen, but I wasn’t just gonna let it go to waste! You could 100% make your own though! ☺️ ・ For the filling: 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp flour of choice 1 tbsp cinnamon 2 tsp pure maple syrup 2 tbsps unsalted butter, almost melted ・ For the glaze: 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 3 tbsp milk 1 tsp cinnamon ・ Egg wash: 1 egg white 1 tsp water a pinch of salt ・ To make the filling, combine all the ingredients into a bowl. Cut out the dough into an even number of rectangles, about 3 X 4 inches. Place a rounded tablespoon for the filling on half of the rectangles, leaving a 1/4 inch border on each. Brush the edges with the egg wash. Lay the other half of the dough over top and seal the edges with the back of a fork. Place the assembled pop tarts onto a lined baking sheet and freeze the pop tarts until solid, about 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350. Poke a few holes in the top of each one with a fork to make a steam vent. Lightly brush the tops with the remaining egg wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes until they are golden in color. Let them sit for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once they are completely cooled, mix the ingredients in the glaze together and let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken. Drizzle over pop tarts and sprinkle on some cinnamon sugar if desired. Let the glaze harden for about an hour, then enjoy!!

This month, I’ve decided to challenge myself to doing a little bit of yoga everyday to improve my strength, balance, and flexibility! ・ I will be doing this in addition to my normal workout routine because it’s nothing with too high of an intensity! I plan to follow “30 days of Yoga with Adriene” on YouTube if anyone wants to join me! Besides the very first video, all of them are under 30 minutes. ✨ Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies!! ✨ I had to use up some leftover pumpkin purée from another recipe so this is what I decided to make! and I definitely don’t regret it! Found this recipe on Pinterest and I will definitely be making them again! 👇🏼 ・ 1/2 cup coconut oil 1 cup flour 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar 1 large egg yolk 1/2 cup pumpkin purée 1/3 cup maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla extract ・ Preheat the oven to 350. Melt the coconut oil then set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside. ・ Add the coconut sugar/brown sugar to the melted coconut oil. Stir well. Once combined, whisk in the egg yolk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and vanilla. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the well and stir until just combined. ・ Form balls of dough, about 2 tbsps each, and place on a lined cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart. Flatten the tops just a bit. Cook for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden but the middle still seems a bit soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 4 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Enjoy!! 😋


✨ Blueberry Cheesecake French Toast!! ✨ It’s #toasttuesday but with a twist! This is the best breakfast I’ve had in a while and I highly recommend making it! ☺️ also, thanks for the inspo @platesbymad !! ・ -2 slices of bread -1 egg -1/4 cup milk of choice -1/2 tsp vanilla -as much cinnamon as you would like -cream cheese -blueberries ・ Mix the egg, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl. Coat one side of the first price of bread with that mixture. Then add it (coated side down) to a pan over medium heat. While it’s on the pan, spread/add as much cream cheese and blueberries as you would like. Then dip one side of the other piece of bread in the egg mixture and lay on top of the cream cheese and blueberries (coated side up). ・ Cook until golden brown on each side and the blueberries are melted, flipping halfway! ・ I topped mine with extra cinnamon & blueberries + some powdered sugar and pure maple syrup! 😋

Anything. Just begin.” - Jordan Syatt ・ Wow. I read this quote the other day and just sat there for a second staring at its truth. Motivation is something that seems to come and go, but maybe it’s not that we are lacking motivation, but we are lacking a motive. Why am I doing the things I’m doing? Why am choosing to eat healthier? Why am I making the choice to exercise? ・ Everyone has a “why,” it’s just about finding it. Here’s some of my whys that turn into motivation for me: knowing I’ll feel my best because I recognize that when I fuel and move my body properly, I feel 1000x better, the desire to set a good example and be an inspiration for those around me and on this account, and just wanting to look and feel my best day in and day out. ・ I challenge you today to find your “why.” Instead of looking for motivation, look for your motive. Of course more nutrient dense foods will offer you more, but food was made to nourish our bodies and be enjoyed, not feared. 🌱 ・ This breakfast sandwich is a perfect example. Probably not the healthiest thing I could have eaten but it gave me the fuel I needed to get in a great workout later and it tasted delicious! I encourage you to change your mindset from fearing food to knowing that food is fuel! 🌿 ・ #whatsonmyplate a biscuit stacked with bacon, cheese, and a fried egg! 🥓🍳 makes for the perfect breakfast sandwich!


Strawberry Cherry Pie!! 🍓🍒 I’m so excited to share this with you guys! I’m pretty sure this is as healthy as pie gets and it was so delicious! I used a couple of recipes on Pinterest for inspiration but kinda came up with my own and it turned out better than I could have expected!! ☺️ Unfortunately the pie crust is not homemade- I was too focused on the filling 🤣 ・ 4 cups of strawberries, cut in halves/quarters 2 cups of cherries 1 cup natural cane sugar 1/4 cup flour of choice 2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice A crust + a beaten egg white ・ Preheat the oven to 425. Mix everything but the pie crust and egg white in a large bowl. Add the first pie crust to your pie plate. At this point, the juices of the fruit should be releasing and the mix will look very watery. Carefully spoon the filling into the crust, trying your best to drain as much liquid out as possible so the pie is full of only the fruit, not liquid. Add the second pie crust on top, trim the edges, and flute them or crimp them closed with a fork. Brush the top with the egg white and cut a few slits in the center ・ Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 and bake for an additional 35-40. Let it cool for a few hours before serving. 😊


Happy Earth Day!! 🌎✨ I tried out a new coffee cake muffin recipe the other day but unfortunately they were kinda dry 😢 I was going to post the recipe but I don’t want to share something I’m not in love with. Just tryin’ to keep this account completely genuine + real! ☺️ ・ Since I don’t have a recipe to share, I thought I’d share a Bible verse that’s been on my heart lately! You never know who needs to hear this today! It’s found in Romans 8:38-39. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NIV) ・ It’s so easy during this time to question why God is putting us all through this. But, I know He has a purpose for everything and His love for us is greater than all we encounter. Including this pandemic. It clearly says NOTHING can separate us from His love! Not quarantine, not sin, not the past, not anything else. He is here for us and He loves us in all of our seasons, the good and the bad, & we should rest in that!


🍍Pineapple Upside Down Smoothie Bowl!🍍 you guys really loved my last smoothie bowl and I got great feedback on it so here’s another one! This was inspired by a pineapple upside down cake and it’s so simple!👇🏼 ・ 1 cup frozen pineapple 1/3 cup vanilla Greek yogurt 1/2 frozen banana 1 tsp maple syrup 1/2 tsp vanilla extract just enough milk to blend ・ I topped mine with pineapple chunks, thawed frozen cherries, chia seeds and granola! 🍍🍒 ・ Let me know if you liked this and want to see more smoothie bowls! ✨ FULL DAY OF EATING ✨ ・ I got a request for a full day of eating so here it is! As you can see, I prefer to eat 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day rather than 3 larger meals because I just don’t like being hungry 🙃 I also want to note that just because this is what I eat, it doesn’t mean this is what you should/need to be eating, this is just what works for me! Every one of us is unique and has different nutritional needs + goals! ・ Breakfast: apple cinnamon yogurt bowl Morning snack: rice cake topped with peanut butter & banana slices Lunch: steak salad with @eatwholly guacamole and salsa for the dressing (if you get a salsa with whole ingredients, this is a much healthier alternative to salad dressing!) Afternoon/Post-workout snack: pumpkin protein pancakes (recipe is on my feed, a few posts back!) Dinner: alfredo with zucchini noodles and a slice of homemade garlic bread Dessert: a handful of chocolate chips (because they’re good for the soul ☺️!)


🍓STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE OATS🍓 ・ I think I’ve found my new favorite oats! (I’m pretty sure I also say that every time I try a new oat combo but oh well! 🙃) these are actually the best though and SO easy to make! ☺️ Here’s the recipe: 1/2 cup milk of choice 3/4 cup frozen strawberries 1/2 cup of quick oats A squeeze of pure maple syrup ・ Blend the milk, strawberries, and maple syrup together. Then, add that mixture + the oats to a pan, heating it gently and stirring until it gets thick and dreamy! 💫 (if it seems too thick, add in a bit more milk!) ・ I topped mine off with some strawberry slices, @siggisdairy yogurt, and another drizzle of maple syrup ✨🌞


healthier version of a tuna melt! ✨ This is definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had & it’s stacked with high protein ingredients! (It has about 40g of protein in it!) That’s what I’m all about! This sandwich is definitely becoming a new staple in my house! ☺️ Here’s the recipe: -2 slices of bread -1 can of tuna -1 tbsp greek yogurt or mayonnaise -1/2 a pickle, cubed -a splash of pickle juice -spinach -2 slices of provolone cheese Mix everything but the cheese and bread together. Stack everything to make a sandwich and toast in a frying pan for an amazing crunch! 🤤
