Day 5 Detox #latepost. Semalam punya ni. IF 18hrs Semalam kepenatan bersihkan kawasan luar rumah yang sekangkang 🐒 tu. Gemburkan tanah, sebab nak elakkan 🐈 datang membuang kat situ. Jadi lepas masak tu masak, makan memang takde mood nak post hahaha. Tambahan anak-anak asyik membising je bila pegang phone💆🏻‍♀️. Menu sama je dari siang ke malam huhu, sup sayur tambah toge. c Ada ayam bakor yang tak ambil gambar. Biasalah bila terpaksa lari berhalangan dek mainan budak, mommy pun xleh fokus hahaha. Apparently sweets give me crazy eyes sometimes 😂🤪 but really, since I’ve gotten back from NYC, my sweet tooth has been unstoppable 🙄 . I let myself have all the delicious treats my heart desired on that trip... no wonder my sweet tooth is hyperactive rn! So what am I doing about it? Feeding my sweet tooth in moderation and trying to slowly ease the amount down to my normal. I didn’t want to go cold turkey, no sweets because I know how that works with me... I deny my cravings, skip sweets for a few days, then once I have a sweet taste... I want it ALL. So not doing that 🙅🏼‍♀️ . Also since I’ve been back, it’s been so nice to eat some nutrient dense foods 🙌🏻 my digestion loves me again 👏🏻 as well, I’ve gotten back in the gym and... ouch 😅 yeah I’m sore and have had to lower the weights. I may need a little more time to get back to pre-vacation strength/energy (we walked a lot and I’m still recovering 😬) but I’ll get there! . PS this s’mores frozen hot chocolate was 🔥 @serendipity3nyc

Day 5, 6, & 7 . It has been a busy weekend! Friday was full of errands and grocery shopping. It was all of the prep work for Friendsgiving. . Saturday was Friendsgiving. We woke up and cleaned and cooked all day. We had a great evening surrounded by awesome friends and family. . Today was pretty much a lazy day. The house was already cleaned. I just had to take care of the kitchen. Which I did dishes for a solid hour and a half. 🙃 . Needless to say, eating was NOT on point this weekend. We made the turkey with a sous vide cooker and it turned out amazing. We had roasted veggies, sweet potatoes, carrots, noodles, and mashed potatoes. I made homemade pumpkin ice cream and fudge. Everyone brought some type of dessert too. We obviously have leftovers too. So that’s what I had today. Most of the carbs are gone. Luckily, no one focused on the roasted veggies, so meal prep! 🤣 . I hope you all had a weekend as good as mine!

Do you have a passion for something? Something that burns a fire in your soul and motivates you through the hard times? . . That was the question one of my coaches asked me yesterday. My answer? YES!!! . . 100% my health and the health of my kids! I see people my age all the time at work whose quality of life sucks mostly because they just never took the time to take care of themselves. It didn't seem to matter...until it did. . . Not me. Not if I can do something about it! I want to maintain my active and playful lifestyle not just for me but for my kids and my grandkids. I want to maintain my mobility, and not have to live in pain and with limitations. . . One of the best thing I can teach my kids is how to take care of themselves. They won't ever have to break an unhealthy lifestyle cycle. I can teach them NOW how to live an active lifestyle, how to eat healthy and take care of themselves. . . I was freaking on cloud 9 today when my 14 year old came home from a lunch with a friend and said she ordered a salad because if she chose all the fried food she would feel aweful later. She has already nailed what it took me 40 years to learn. I simply just FEEL better when I take care of me, eat healthy and keep moving. My life is just BETTER because of it. . . Need help getting you and your family going in this direction? This isn't something that will happen overnight, in a week or something you do for a month. This is a lifestyle and it takes time. How our family eats today is not how we ate last year, and that was not how we ate the year before that.
