We use fresh local apples for all of our kimchi. My first go-to apples are ambrosia. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my last post about probiotics, I mentioned that probiotics (LAB bacteria) eat sugar to grow. We use less than 1g of sugar for 100ml of kimchi, that’s about 2.5g per jar. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ we use apple, pear for more sweetness. Onions, radish, rice flour and cabbages also have sugar in them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can actually find apple peels in the kimchi jars! They sit on the bottom with garlic and ginger so give it a stir before taking them out of the jar 😀

Potato Crust Quiche I wanted quiche but didn’t have a pie crust. To use what I have, I used potatoes. Potato Crust Quiche Recipe 1 lb russet potato 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese 5 eggs 1/2 cup milk Any Veggies or meat you have laying around ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 teaspoon garlic powder Directions: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the potatoes, then shredded the potatoes with a box grater. Rinse the potatoes until the water becomes clear. Soak the potatoes overnight in water. The next day squeeze all the water out out the potatoes. Add the shredded potatoes to a large bowl and drizzle with the olive oil, salt and pepper to taste and add the Parmesan and toss with your hands till everything is covered Arrange the shredded potatoes in a pie dish, pressing the shredded potatoes flat to make a crust. Bake the crust for 25 minutes, ten minutes covered and 15 minutes uncovered or until it is lightly browned. Reduce the oven temperature to 350˚F (180˚C). In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, your veggies and meat, cheddar cheese, remaining teaspoon of salt, remaining ¼ teaspoon of pepper, and the garlic powder. Slowly pour the egg mixture over the potatoes. Bake the quiche for 30 -50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the potatoes are brown. Set Aside for 15 minutes till slightly cooled to cut. We are cheesecake FIENDS, and wanted to share one of our favorite ways to enjoy it. It's definitely not new, but might be new to some of you who love cheesecake, but don't like the calories! 😋

satsumaimo mini muffins #さつまいも. only 4 ingredients. grain-free, vegan, no added sugar. bcuz of the sweet potato + overripe banana, they're naturally qwite sweet. add choco chips to make them more of a dessert. satsumaimo is the name for japanese sweet potatoes. they’re purplish on the outside and yellow on the inside. delicious roasted w/ (v) butter and made into candy. more naturally sweet than US sweet potatoes. this was one of my first recipes. today I went without the flax eggs but added baking powder. the muffins got a bit fluffier and more muffin like. sometimes I prefer them denser. up to you. feel free to add seeds, nuts, chocolate chips. you can definitely sub the satsumaimo with regular sweet potato. recipe: • 1 cooked japanese sweet potato • 1 mashed overripe banana • 1/4 cup almond butter • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (opt.) • 1/2 tsp baking powder OR 2 flax eggs (2 tbsp ground flaxseed, 5 tbsp warm water, stir and refrigerate for 10 min before using). 1. preheat oven to 375 and grease a cupcake tin. 2. mix mashed banana + almond butter + flax eggs. 3. add sweet potato. stir well until smooth. 4. gently fold in chocolate chips if using. 5. use a spoon to divide the batter into the cupcake tin. makes 6-8 muffins. 6. cook for 16-18 mins, until a toothpick can be inserted + removed cleanly. let them cool for at least 30 min before eating (otherwise they will be too mushy.) 7. top w/ nut butter + cinnamon + whatever you want.

such a late post so i apologize for my timing, but it was a GORGEOUS day outside and i just couldn’t resist spending it outside without my phone 🌞 but if we want to talk about gorgeous check out this nourish bow i whipped up for lunch today!! packed with flavor and veggies, and it was sooo good. the tiny shrimp were so cute too!! ✨ to make i basically just sautéed my toppings in soy sauce, some onion powder and some minced garlic, and it was just *chefs kiss* delicious!! served it over my favorite crispy kale and some spinach and quickly found my new favorite lunch. what’s your go to toppings for your nourish bowl? 🌿 . the #dEATS : roasted spinach and kale nourish bowl topped with shrimp, zucchini, mushrooms, red onion, avocado, and yams sautéed in soy sauce 😋

Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap! . This is the perfect quick and fresh recipe! You can even cook the chicken before and let it sit in the fridge ready to mix. I usually buy a fancy store bought caesar dressing but this time we made our own! All you have to do is mix cooked chicken with chopped lettuce, bacon bits, caesar croutons, Parmesan cheese, and salad dressing. Then roll it into a wrap- I like the large spinach tortillas you can get at the store. Below is the salad dressing recipe- I usually just make sauces to taste so I can’t say I followed the recipe measurements at all, and I left out the anchovy paste, but it was still amazing ! Recipe: @onceuponachef . INGREDIENTS 2 small garlic cloves, minced 1 teaspoon anchovy paste (found near the canned tuna in the supermarket) 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, from one lemon 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (I like the brand Maille) 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 cup mayonnaise, best quality such as Hellmann's Real 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper . In a medium bowl, whisk together the garlic, anchovy paste, lemon juice, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Add the mayonnaise, Parmigiano-Reggiano, salt and pepper and whisk until well combined. Taste and adjust to your liking. The dressing will keep well in the fridge for about a week.

È abbastanza soffice? 😛😍 Focaccia con patate, la ricetta qui 👇🏼 Ingredienti: 300 grammi di farina Manitoba 250 grammi di patate 6 grammi di miele millefiori 20 grammi di olio evo 10 grammi di sale 1 bustina di lievito di birra secco 145 grammi di acqua a temperatura ambiente Per condire: Rosmarino Sale grosso Olio evo Acqua Procedimento: Come prima cosa mettete a lessare le patate con la buccia. Una volta cotte, togliete la buccia, schiacciatele con lo schiacciapatate o una forchetta e lasciatele raffreddare. Nel frattempo in una ciotola mettete la farina, il lievito, il miele e il sale.. dopo aver mescolato un po’ aggiungete anche le patate. Dopo aver impastato per qualche minuto, iniziate a versare l’olio a filo, e subito dopo versate anche l’acqua. Dovrete lavorarlo per circa 6-7 minuti. Prendete l’impasto, e su di un piano oleato dategli le famose pieghe e ponetelo in una ciotola coperto da pellicola in frigo per tutta la notte. L’indomani, tirate fuori l’impasto e lasciatelo lievitare per un’ora; dopodiché trasferitelo in uno stampo oleato( io ho usato una banale tortiera con cerniera 😄) e lasciatelo lievitare per un’altra mezz’ora. Passato il tempo, mettete il rosmarino, l’acqua con l’olio e il sale grosso. Brigadeiros de Milo❤️😍🍫 Este es uno de mis postres favoritos!!! Me lo enseño a hacer mi mamá. Es delicioso y muy facil de preparar. Tiene milo, leche condensada; todo lo que me encanta🤣😍.Si no quieres hacer brigadeiros, queda espectacular con helado, o como cobertura para tortas de chocolate. Aquí esta la receta👇🏼 Ingredientes • 4 cucharadas de milo. • Un (mini) chorro de leche a temperatura ambiente. • 4 cucharadas de cacao en polvo. • Un tarro de leche condensada. • Toppings: nueces/ azucar/ cacao/ milo/ coco deshidratado. Instrucciones 1. Vertir leche, milo y cacao en una olla y revolver hasta que quede sin grumos (Sin encender el fuego.) 2. Agregar a la mezcla leche condensada y continuar batiendo. 3. Llevar la olla al fuego y continuar batiendo hasta que espese (hasta que levantes el globo/whisk/batidor y no caiga mezcla). Despues de que apago el fuego, yo sigo batiendo por un rato. 4. Dejar enfriar en la nevera por media hora. 5. Aplicar mantequilla en las manos y hacer bolitas (para que no se te pegue la mezcla). 6. Agregar los toppings que desees a las bolitas. Para esto debes colocar tu topping en un recipiente y untar tu bolita en el. 7. Just hold the rib tightly and pull toward the top of the leaf- should come off easily 🌱 -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-. 1️⃣Chop into smaller pieces! Most important one - pour a little bit of olive oil and lemon juice over your kale and get in there with your hands. This will make the leaves super tender and actually enjoyable.
