Horus, Egyptian Hor, Har, Her, or Heru, in ancient Egyptian religion, a god in the form of a falcon whose right eye was the sun or morning star, representing power and quintessence, and whose left eye was the moon or evening star, representing healing. Falcon cults, which were in evidence from late predynastic times, were widespread in Egypt. #loves_egypt #loves_besthdr #egyptology #egypteveryday #eyeonegypt #egypt_fans #egyyyypt #discoveregypt #egyptshots #travellingthroughtheworld #travelawesome #travelersnotebook #traveldiary #traveladdict #travel_captures #travellover #travelegypt #tourist_places #travelwithme #travelbloggers #travelegyptwithme #travelphotography #travelphotooftheday

#egypt #travel #egypt🇪🇬 #egyptshots at Egypt

. Vem com os Pandas! 🐼🐼 . 📍Cairo - Egypt 🇪🇬 . #pandaspelomundo #pandasnoegito #egito #egypt🇪🇬 #egyptshots #cairocitadel #instaegypt #discoveregypt #mochileiros #maeeutoaqui at Cairo Citadel

𝕊𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕚 𝕃𝕚𝕓𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝔻𝕒𝕪 → 1 Day When you are in Dahab, just enjoy and relax🌊 🧘🏽‍♂️ Dahab is one of the friendliest and most welcoming places on earth, it is now considered to be one of Sinai's most treasured diving destinations. It offers a range of accommodations from hostels for budget travelers to luxurious full service resorts. All of this is located right on the water, tucked between the purple mountains of Sinai’s interior and the crystal water of the Gulf of Aqaba. In the central part of Dahab there is a well-established strip of restaurants and hotels the allow travelers to lounge by the water while enjoying the full restaurant service. Further north the vibe is more relaxed and less developed and a few miles out of town in either direction are resorts offering more exclusive privacy. All of these places organize trips to the many impressive diving and snorkeling locations nearby. One of the most popular places in Dahab is The Blue Hole🏝 The Blue Hole is a gaping sinkhole that drops straight down – some say as deep as 130m. Exploring the deeper depths should be left to experienced technical divers, but there's plenty to discover close to the surface. The outer lip is full of marine life and a reasonable plunge into the hole is somewhat akin to skydiving. Depth: 7m to 27m.

Archaeologists in a Cairo suburb - once the site of the ancient capital of Heliopolis 𓉺𓏌𓏏𓊖 “iwnw” - found two 3000-year-old pharaonic statues. [March 13, 2017]. The statues are thought to represent Pharaohs 𓉐𓉼 “pr-eA” ‘Great House’ from the 19th dynasty. One statue stands 26ft (8 metres) tall and is carved out of quartzite - a tough stone composed mainly of quartz. It could not be identified from its engravings but it was found at the entrance to the temple of King Ramses II (𓇋𓏠𓈖𓌺𓁛𓄟𓋴) “mri-imn-ra-ms-s” ‘Born of Ra, Beloved of Amun’.- also known as Ramses the Great - “suggesting” it represents him. Few Hieroglyphic signed and initial studies carried out on fragments of the colossus reveal that it belongs to king Psamtik I (𓊪𓋴𓅓𓍿𓎡𓀶) The name on the back of the torso was inscribed 𓅒𓎟𓂝𓏤 “nb-a” ‘Possessor of a Strong Arm’ (664-610 BC) of 26th Dynasty. The torso’s back-pillar has preserved one of the five names of king Psammetich I. If it belongs to the later, it is the largest statue of the Late Period that was ever discovered in Egypt - Beloved Land - Tameri 𓇾𓌸𓂋𓆵𓇋𓊖𓊖 “tA-meri”. This date explains the puzzling features of different ancient stylistic details since the Late Period, which is known for its archaizing art. The other relic is a limestone statue of 12th century BC ruler King Seti II. The discovery of the two statues shows the importance of the city of Heliopolis, which was dedicated to the worship 𓇼𓄿𓀃 “dwA” of Ra 𓇳. Both artifacts transported to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir for restoration and temporary exhibition until its final location at the GEM. This is a photo from Egypt in the spring of 2017. Me and my Irish boyfriend visited Alexandria, Cairo, Giza, Luxor and Aswan. It was the best history and archaeology related travel we ever had. Now we are working to realize a big trip in all the countries in South-Eastern Asia hopefully to begin at early 2020. #egypt #giza #cairo #pyramids #instagood #viewfrombalcony #travel #traveladdict #beautifulplaces #travelinegypt #egyptshots #travelphotography #couplegoals #travelling #couplestravel #traveling #traveladdicts at Giza
