Rule of thumb for #ketogenic diet is 70% fats, 20% proteins, and 5% carbs . Metabolic shift occurs- as you deplete carbs in your body, it uses fat (we become a fat burning machine) to convert to ketones as energy source. Breaking The Female Myth: Resistance Training and Hormonal Adaptations ⠀ ⠀ Hey how’s it going friends? Do you feel more comfortable about lifting heavy now? 🤔 Let’s talk about how your body adapts differently to exercises. ⠀ ⠀ Studies have shown that resistance training acutely increases total testosterone in males, whereas there is NO change in females. 🏋🏻 Resistant exercises include the, Goblet Squat, Dumbbell Row, Push-Up, and Hip Extensions. Just to name a few. ⠀ ⠀ However, when these exercises are executed, free testosterone HAS been shown to be elevated ⬆ up to 25% in females after resistance training. I feel this way much more in my rear delts and personally feel it is more effective for targeting this muscle! . When going into Thanksgiving, I got a few questions about how to get BACK on track after the holiday. This is sooo important for maiming a LIFESTYLE and stop the cycle of “dieting” and “off track” for good! When thanksgiving and family visits are over, get back to your normal routine! Go grocery shopping if you need to Pack your fridge and kitchen with healthy foods to form your environment for your goals And get back on track with your meal planning and prepping! Yes, it feels hard bc you’re tired, or you’re worn out, but most of the holiday gain comes from eating holiday calories (aka very high calories) on all the days that are NOT the holiday Eating more than usual on thanksgiving won’t lead to weight gain But eating more than usual every week from thanksgiving - Christmas, will Do the best you can.
