Exercising through knee pain is NO fun, but you don’t have to throw out the idea of exercise all together!👏🏻 — When I was overcoming all of my knee surgeries, I really had to learn to listen to my body, while also challenging it to move through different exercises I wanted to quit.🏋️‍♀️ — The BEST way to strengthen my muscles, while being careful not too overdo it, was by going through the motions with great control. — Here is a workout you can do ANYWHERE. The goal is to move through each exercise slowly. As you’re going down into the movement, you really want to activate every muscle, then be explosive on the way up! Training your body to move through the full range of motion by slow tempo is a great way to get stronger without all the extra pain! — Complete each exercise for 10 reps (per leg for single leg exercises) for a total of 2-5 rounds!! 🔴SLOW TEMPO SQUAT (3sec down, 1sec up) 🔴STATIC LUNGES (3sec down, 1sec up) 🔴LATERAL LUNGES (3sec down, 1sec up) 🔴MODIFIED BURPEE TO CALF RAISE 🔴30sec WALL SIT 🔴GLUTE BRIDGES 🔴GOOD MORNINGS (3sec down, 1sec up)

❌3 reasons why meal plans don't work & aren't sustainable 🥗🍱⁣ ⁣ When you’re looking to improve you’re eating, you think meal plans are the answer. ⁣ ⁣ The only problem? Did the summer heat get unbearable ? Ditch the usual aerated drinks and try Aam Panna 🥭 . . . . Ingredients: Mango (kachha aam): 1 medium sized Cumin powder: 1/2 tbsp Cardamom powder: 1/2 tbsp Mint leaves Gur: 3tbsp Salt: as per taste Pepper: 0.5 tbsp . . . Procedure: 1. Put the kachha aam in a pressure cooker with 1.5 glass of water , on a medium flame. Wait for 3-4 whistles. 2. Take out the mango and peel it off. 3. Put the mango pulp in a mixer. Add 7-8 mint leaves, 2 tbsp of powdered jaggery. Blend it well in a mixer. 4. Take out the paste in a bowl. Add 0.5 tbsp of cumin powder and 0.5 tbsp of cardamom powder. Put salt as per taste. Mix it evenly with a spoon. 5. Put 2 tbsp of the padte in glass with some water and ice. Here are some tips for someone who is just starting their fitness journey👇🏼 • Everyone is at a different place in their journey! Don’t compare yourself to others, especially fitness influencers you see on social media. Every journey is different and instagram is a highlight reel. It’s not always rainbows and butterflies. Figure out your macros and start tracking them! This is crucial. Tracking your macros will help you understand your body, what it needs daily to meet your goals, and it will teach you a lot about food in general. Understand that reaching your goals takes time, patience, consistency, and discipline. Progress does not, and will never, happen overnight. Be patient, stay consistent, and results will come. PROGRESS PICTURES 📸 I know, they are awkward. But take the dang pictures! They are a GREAT tool to use to track progress, guys! PLEASE understand- the scale isn’t always the best tool to track progress. It’s actually...kind of a liar. So, stop beating yourself up over the # you see. Our weight fluctuates for SO MANY different reasons and it is so important to realize there are a multitude of other ways to track progress. You can’t rely on motivation. Let’s be real, NO ONE is motivated 24/7. Whenever you’re struggling, remind yourself of why you started your journey. Remind yourself of how good you feel after crushing a workout. Go back and look at the progress pictures you’ve taken throughout your journey (that always motivates me). And then...get it done! Understand that there is no such thing as “good food” or “bad food.” There are calorie dense foods and nutrient dense foods, neither of which are “bad”. You CAN incorporate the foods you love into your diet (tracking macros will help you realize this). The only way you will lose weight is if you are in a calorie deficit (eating LESS calories than your body burns daily). That is...the only....freaking...way. MLM’s are BS- skinny teas, wraps, fat burning coffee = waste of money. THERE IS NO QUICK FIX. MOVE YOUR BODY! Go on walks, go to the gym, go swim, do whatever you can to move move move! I decided to do another form tutorial today since the last one seemed to help so many of you! ⠀ ⠀ Okay so getting into this exercise...⠀ When you bring your arms up and away from your sides and then pull down, you are engaging your lats along with your triceps. To really isolate that tricep muscle, keep your biceps locked into your sides. You can also bend over more at your waist and have your elbows pointed straight down. Just make sure you are only hinging at your elbows and not you elbows and your shoulders. ⠀ ⠀ Again, I hope this helps! Injury can be a common occurrence in exercise but with proper form can it be avoided. Oh and control! Make sure you perform your exercises with control. Slow it wayyyyy down if you need to.
